I'm a kiwi that grew up in Neesoon in the 80s and would eat at the makan stalls at Chongpang. We would order 100 sticks each then go back for more! Satay I'd my favorite food still and got the secret recipe from Nur Satay in Ulu Klang/Naan corner back in 2003. I remember getting a local Ampang Satay stall to set up at my brother's 21st birthday and he cooked 1000 sticks for us. We also ordered 1000 sticks between 3 of us in Ampang one night over a couple of beers.. great memories!

@@kingstonshawn2595 satay was only probably about 60mm long of meat and 10 cents a stick but I find these days stalls are making it bigger and bigger to be the biggest and best so it was probably about 2/3 of what they are eating here. Don't get me wrong, now that I'm not a growing kiwi lad and am almost 50, I can only eat 15 to 20 sticks. Lol.

First up loved the video ! watch most of Zermatts content very entertaining. Have just returned home from a amazing trip to Malaysia and Singapore. While in Singapore made a trip to Lau Pa Sat to try some satay . As it was we chose Satay 6 because it had Zermatts name on the front. After ordering and paying cash for the Satay we waited for our meal. After nearly 1 hour and watching many people order after us get there food our order alarm still had not gone off. We approached the stall and were told to wait it would be soon. this played out 3 times over the next 30 mins or so. finally we approached with some firmer words which at last got some action and our meal was prepared in front of us. Still not the end ! was then told we had to pay even though as i stated we had paid cash on ordering!!!. We voiced our displeasure with what was now a hour and a half wait and then being told to pay twice! at this point a young teen boy from the stall came from behind the stall and threatened to fight me!!!. This was not the experience i expected to get at Lau Pa Sat and for sure not what i expect in SINGAPORE!!! . I hope this was not a little scam the tourist deal as it very much seemed that way!!. At this point i would say Zermatt be careful who you let and where you let your name be used.
