based on the chinese name, it seems like their pu er also includes 陈皮 which is aged dried mandarin orange peel. It is a common ingredient in 卤 (braised) things, so maybe that’s why the association with savoury and “old people” taste haha.
I am genuinely curious that an average SG office worker thinks it's expensive but everyone is queuing up for it for RM14.90 in MY. Shouldn't it be considered cheap with SG stronger buying power?
I think they meant in SG it’s expensive for a drink. 1 large Tie Guan Yin Milk Tea from Chagee Singapore is SGD6.20. Especially comparing it to other brands like Koi / Gongcha.. it’s a more “atas” drink brand.
i mean yes but no. is it relatively cheaper for a singaporean with singaporean income to buy it rather than a malaysia to buy it with malaysian income? yes. but we are pretty thrifty (or i guess stingy) with our money, a cup of teh beng costs like 2sgd in the food court. relatively speaking chagee is pretty much a luxury item in that regard. you also need to take into account that while food and drinks take up relatively lower proportion of our income vs malaysians, housing and car ownership is where our income primarily goes to, so you can't really do a 1:1 comparison in just 1 place of spending since different country's citizens budget their income spendings differently. singaporeans still queue up for it though (they just do it while complaining), the malaysians that are queueing up for it are either rich or they just dont give a fuck.
Maybe anyone can answer me, i'm curious where is mandon & chiara? How i'm miss chiara & mandon reviewing food together 🥺..are they still in thesmartlocak or Resign already😢?
Tried the one u say lapsang souchong latte. It taste like koi milk tea 50percent.. nothing special.. And the waiting time at plaza sing was 50mins 🫠 still prefer their da Hong pau tea
OOOOOMMMGGGGGGGG IM DED THANK YOU! I feel so wronged because I started saying Da Hong Pao (袍) last time and someone 'corrected' me to say 炮. also never questioned it cos it sounded probable =.=
I had the rose pu er before. It was so bad, no aftertaste at all unlike their other tea that will lingers in ur mouth. Somemore it is more expensive den their jasmine green milk tea sia. Worse is I had a bad stomachache after drinking that rose pu-er! Cos I forgot rose will make me shit!
Hey, I am from India and I was shock to see that this video is in Hindi Lang, why dont you put a keyword "Hindi on title or description" it may help in attracting more hindi listeners

Younger Malaysians are very, very bad with money. They’ll be earning rm3-4k and they’ll still take out a loan for rm150k Honda civics.

Hello eatbook, I always feel intrigue by your amazing food recommendation videos, this looks like a great beverage series. 😊
I tried their osmanthus oolong milk tea once & the texture is smooth. 😊
Glutinous tea my fav haha
I drank chagee every week bc i go to gym nearby. I like the tea frappe the most. Anyway, chagee in China is still better than SG's quality
I wonder if the boys will giggle and squeal over every drink on cue as well
