Yay!!! So happy for you!!! 🥳🥳🥳
The Shin Ramyun he first showed has become pretty easy to find in normal American supermarkets now. Check the regular ramen spots, and if they don't have it there they probably have a small "Asian/international" aisle or section somewhere else.
We have an HMart near us which in addition to being a grocery superstore, has a food court with several Korean restaurants, plus Thai, Chinese, Japanese etc. They also have a bakery with fantastic coffee and fresh made pastries. The challenge is to resist going there every day!!!
From my experience they usually don’t speak English and make it pretty obvious they don’t care about helping 😂 they looked completely lost when i mentioned msg and just looked at each other shaking their head until I left

I tried the milk ramyun a while ago with spicy Shin Ramyun. Really, REALLY good. I stirred an egg in, too. Made it all nice and creamy.
I’m obsessed with cold shin ramyun!! I was getting sick and tired of hot shin ramyun in any form, the texture of the noodles was getting old and tiring. Eating them cold is so so soooo good! I love cold noodles already so I am used to the taste. The noodle texture stays super bouncy and it is different cold, the cold broth is even better with a mouthful of noodles and the cold soup. Amazing, it also tastes spicier which I love. I add raw garlic and ginger (for health) but I also love the strong flavor with the cold noodles. I did not think to add soy sauce and sugar I will try that now. Do not make if you don’t have ice cubes, it is best and super good very very very cold 😋

Love how his voice sounds when he calls Claire 😁. Food wise, I found the milk recipe with someone else before and I must say it's gooooood. I've also tried the one with the poached egg and green onions and yup it's good. I also tried one with green onions, carrots and mushrooms and that was wow too. But it has to be a good ramyeon to start with. And Jin is really good. I think I like it better than Shin, plus they have spicy, mild and veggie to choose from.

One thing I might add about the milk ramen is that it reminds me a lot of how historic macaroni (Italian pasta) was cooked. Adding half water and half milk gives a sweet, cheesy taste to the noodles without scorching the milk.
@◖ᵔᴥᵔ◗ It would probably work with oat milk and soy, though you'd have to make sure they don't have added sweetner or vanilla.
