There are several movies about the 101, but the easiest solution is probably to just watch Band of Brothers. Battleground and Screaming Eagles are both old movies about them, you can find them in The Longest Day and A Bridge Too Far. Private Ryan, in Saving Private Ryan, was in the 101.
The Siege of Bastone. Took place duering the battle of the bulge. A German offensive in the winter of 1944 into the Arden forest. The 101st and a few other army elements were actually caught out, their final orders were to hold the cross roads in Bastone. They fought surrounded for 3-4 weeks untill the 3rd Army, under General George S. Patton managed to breakthrough and provided them relief and fresh supplies.
Band of Brothers, does it very well, My great uncle Sam Grubb was a paratrooper in the 101st in WW2. uncle Sam and his brother Jim were both wounded in Bastone, Jim was in a different unit.
Should do the Sabaton History Channel - ruclips.net/video/41M4sKVmY0Q/видео.htmlsi=lV_ZEVtd_qXen4Rm Also for movies "The Longest Day" / A Bridge Too Far / Battleground / and the classic 10 part mini series "Band of Brothers"
