How to fix P000A Code: Intake “A” Camshaft Position Slow Response (Bank 1)
A P000A code is set when the computer (ECM/PCM) detects that the camshaft’s position differs from the position that the computer expects during camshaft phase changes.
Possible Causes of a P000A Code:
Low or Dirty Engine Oil
Bad VVT Components (Solenoid, Oil Control Valve, Actuator/Phaser)
Bad Timing Chain or Timing Belt
Bad Timing Chain Tensioner
Bad Computer (ECM/PCM)

I’m getting P000A on my new engine in a 2012 Jeep jk. The master mechanic I brought the engine from told me her can almost 100 % guarantee me it’s a bad oil control valve. Does that seem correct?
