    The Soundcore smoked the Beats in the mic call quality!

  • @THEBATMAN28AHH
    @THEBATMAN28AHH 2 года назад +42

    In the past few weeks I've noticed that a lot of people are surprised that the soundcore buds sound so fantastic. It's because of the dual drivers in each earpiece. You can't hope to represent a full range of frequencies with only one driver. That's why the liberty 3 pro is able to present bass that's sublime and deep along with clean highs. No single driver can do that, no matter how big or dynamic it is. It's just physics.

      @outermarker5801 2 года назад +1

      Pretty bold and unqualified statement there chief. But I'm going to assume you're excluding full sized headphones.
      In which case I still disagree. Unless one is afflicted with audiophilia, a modern well designed single driver unit can sound fantastic - even over BT

    • @THEBATMAN28AHH
      @THEBATMAN28AHH 2 года назад

      @@outermarker5801 it's physics man. Why do you think floor-standing or even bookshelf speakers have more than one driver. If everything was as hunky dory as you're describing, new speakers wouldn't need more than one driver to get good sound, but that isn't the case. These buds sound great because they allocate specific frequencies to where they're going to sound the best and be represented. I've never heard any headphones so great. Yeah the treble is a bit higher out of the box, but that can be adjusted by setting the EQ to flat.

    I have both, just got the Beats Fit pro two days ago. I love how small the beats are and the fit is fantastic. It works perfectly with all my apple devices. However, the sounds quality of the beats isn’t even close to the Liberty Pro 3. So I guess I use both. Beats for podcasts and if you need to make sure they don’t fall out. But for music, they aren’t even comparable. That said I like both of them.

    Beats Fit Pro for me!!! First, I have no problem with listening to them for several hours - no ear pain! Next - volume is KING and the fact that the Beats are louder is a significant factor! It’s especially true when you are in a noisy environment such as a coffee shop where you need to drown out the piped-in music and the normal clanking, talking, etc. ANC doesn’t solve this problem by itself yet. Also, I like to HIIT train and the Fit Pro are superb in their stability during the intense movements involved in the workouts. Finally, I am already heavily invested in the Apple 🍎 ecosystem and the synergies it provides to all my Apple devices. Soundcore Liberty 3 Pros are a nice 2nd place imho! 🙏🏽

    I love the Liberty 3 Pros but not for their signature sound. Hear ID can be weird with what your results say you need versus what you want there to be more of. For example, taking the test for the first time I apparently couldn't hear the 400hz range very well. I'd like to think that's because the test is based off the signature sound, so of course I'm going to hear the excessive bass and treble and not so much the midrange. Nonetheless, it's an effective feature that you can now combine with a preset to get more flavorful sound in the right places. That said, for me I prefer the test results to be completely flat (it took saying yes to every tone prompt) and then I would combine it with piano mode, which for some reason is a different sounding-preset than the piano mode you'd find under sound effects. Anyways, piano was the best preset on the Liberty 2 Pro and that has carried onto the L3P except in a weirder way. Thankfully this combination I did was enough to retain that versatile low-end and push the midrange more forward all while leaving the highs as crisp as ever. Still, this didn't sound quite full enough overall to leave it as it is. On my S10 I have the EQ on normal and the 60 years old sound profile selected. Yes, this does make any pair of earbuds sound pretty loud and almost strictly mid-range focused, and yet it's managed to sound balanced with how I set things up on the app. Now the drums sound more complete and spacious, guitars are full and neatly placed in the stereo image, and the bass sounds more universally favorable. I'm saying all of this as I'm currently listening to a rock beat I made in an app and it's pretty awesome sounding. It wouldn't hurt for the out-of-box sound to be this balanced already, but the customization is part of what makes the L3P so good. A little more body in the low-end and mid-range would make these easier to tune to my liking, but they're still nice. I watched the video thinking the beats could out-do the Soundcores but perhaps not lol. After trying the Shure Aonic Free buds, yes Shure as in the company that makes some of the most beloved in-ears for their hi-fidelity, I was disappointed. I'll keep using the Buds+ as a backup because of their killer battery life and neutral default sound. I'm thinking they could also be drastically improved with the 60 years old profile but I'll have to try it later. By the way, this doesn't mean I'm 60 years old, although I listen to the music of someone who is lmao. I also have two basses at home and love their bright and punchy sound (a Squier Jazz bass and an Ibanez sr300). Being a fiddler of the four strings I can recognize basslines in songs and pay close attention to the tones and flavor. Something earbuds generally lack is the ability to grab the specific bite of slap bass, much like how they generally struggle with how an electric guitar should sound of all things. The L3P come close but lack the strength I remember every instrument in a given song having. I know how the crunchy riffs in "The Zoo" by the Scorpions sound and I'm not quite getting it lol

    In my experience, you need the ear hook for earbuds when using them for working out (I use my ear buds for everything). airpod 1 and 2 were the only ones without hooks that would stay without requiring readjustment while running lifting etc. The airpod 3s changed shape unfortunately and don’t remain snug while being active. So for me beats are the choice out of these two.

    There was a firmware update for the L3Ps a few days ago (post recording me thinks).
    I was surprised how much better the transparency mode got! Can hear everything around me so much better.
    Also on a sidenote. I recently switched from a OnePlus 7 Pro to the iPhone 13 Pro Max. I don’t know if I’m imagining this, but I think the volume is abit higher paired to the iPhone 🤔

      @JohanMursu 2 года назад

      @@jnturner506 Well there hasn’t been another update addressing transparency mode since. But the difference was big! But if it’s a dealbreaker then I can’t/don’t dare to vouch for them.
      For example, having volume at 50% and listening to music will start to make it hard to hear what ppl are saying. If you only have them in (no music on) with transparency mode on, then they’re great!

    I have had the Beats Fit Pro for about 4 days now. To be honest the Beats Fit Pro sound to me is very underwhelming for the price and it does give me ear fatigue and I keep switching from the medium and small size earpiece to see if it stops but no luck. The large is just too big. I bought mines straight from Apple, and cannot do a return because it's not defective, I checked. Even if its defective, they'll tell you to physically take it in to their store to have it looked at, and possibly get it replaced or send in from there for repair. In the end I just bought the Soundcore 2 pro from Amazon for $89, in my search for a better sounding earbuds, mainly for the gym.

    Great video very informative I was wondering how you'd compare the liberty 3 pro to the jaybird vista 2

    • @charlesford485
      @charlesford485 2 года назад

      Right, I have both of them. Liberty 3 wins for me. Main reason being the Vista 2 loses connection every single time I use them. That update they put out did NOTHING.. One bud works and one doesn't. Never fails. I drive a truck so I'm either listening to music, talking, or listening to comedy for about 10 to 12 hours a day. Trying to fix a connection while I'm driving a 50 60 70 80 thousand pound vehicle is something I'm not going to do lol. They both do pretty good keeping unwanted noise out or wanted noise in, liberty does better. So for that reason alone "connection" I use the liberty mainly and right before they die I switch to the Vista. My DAILY routine. Especially with the LDAC on with the liberty the buds are going to die.. Talking on the phone liberty wins. Music wise it's a toss up, I like my music LOUD and neither one is loud enough lol but some songs are better with each. LDAC does make a slight difference and the EQ settings are a bit more drastic with the liberty. But the Vista also sounds good and has an eq in the app so I can't say for sure I'd have to really compare the same song and pay attention which I haven't done yet. Overall, go with the liberty 3 pro. Your not missing anything by not choosing the Vista. Now if they actually fix that damn connection issue it would be harder for me to say that. Sometimes I prefer the Vista because they fit "better" I guess, not saying the liberty doesn't fit but sometimes I catch myself readjusting the liberty. The Vista goes in doesn't move at all and they feel more sturdy and ready for the elements if I were to drop them or what not. That connection is just trash tho no matter how good they are if only one works half the time it doesn't matter. Hope that helps. I'm curious about the Beats fit pro now tho. I was using the beats pro for a while I had one park stolen and my last pair just stopped working so I got the Vista 2 and was happy until I started to deal with the connection issues, then got the liberty and they are my main pair and Vista is back up. I might buy these Beats after I'm done Christmas shopping tho I'm curious.

For example in RUclips vids, are they in acceptable a/v sync? Considering that RUclips content has compressed audio, do you notice a difference between watching YT in AAC and LDAC mode?
