You're the FIRST person i've ever seen using metal in the sound quality test. Everytime I talk to somebody about testing audio for earbuds, they're always talking about pop or rap or electronica. Nobody is looking at the rough edges of metal and it's super rough. That impressed me greatly.

Read this if your looking at getting one of these two: I have both of these earbuds and honestly both are great! What I like with the pros over the beats is slightly better noise canceling, more comfy, better sound quality in terms of voices (podcasts), better transparency. What I like better with the beats, although not as comfy they have a more snug fit, battery life seems to last longer, sound quality in terms of stuff like music.

Great review, I’m personally getting the beats fit pro for working out such as running and cycling. It’s reassuring to know that they won’t fly off my ear when doing activities. I’ve had air pods fall of my ears numerous times.
You can find individual Beats Fit Pros. I dropped the leftie in Walmart parking lot and was able to pull it up on the map of Find my devices. Also, Beats Pro does do the sound of noise cancellation but you have to have both Beats in at the same time.
AirPods work pretty well in a noisy production plant environment. The conversation boost feature has been a game changer for me on the plant floor.
Considering buying the AirPods i have the Beats and work in a production plant can’t use them because of the noise is so loud on the other end.

Thank you for the review! I’m currently listening on the AirPod pros, and I am super hesitant to buy the second generation. I don’t use the noise cancellation anymore because the right bud has basically bugged out and it sounds like garbage and it dies faster, and I’ve already replaced the left bud in the past. Not worth the 250 dollars in order for them to die rapidly over time.

i had the original airpods pro earbuds and i loved them because they barely felt like they were in my ear and they rarely very rarely fell out but i also used a foam tip
Great video had the AirPods Pro 1st gen for years but struggled with them falling off my ear at the gym so I finally settled for beats and it’s night and day better when it comes to fit

Which ones sound better for music? My AirPod pros need to be replaced as the left speaker started acting up. I really don’t want to spend the extra money on the AirPods.
Great comparison, thx. For cold climates, a hat test would be cool (ha) addition; my winter beanie tends to trigger the button on the PowerBeats Pro. With these two, I'm not sure which to get. The button on the Beats Fit Pro looks risky, while the stems might not play nice with headwear either.
The button is not that serious on the beat fit pro. It may be easily triggered in the beginning, but for some reason they’re not easily triggered anymore. Maybe i got used to them. But they hurt SOO bad after like 2 hours of wearing them with the wings tucked in your ear
I’m currently using Anker soundcore P2 wireless earbuds (approx. £45) and I feel like I only prefer them to any of the AirPods series because of their crazy base and 7h battery life. Apart from the microphones being pretty bad I still love them! Have had them about a year now. Loved the video!
Great comparison! I have never ever had an airpod of any kind stay in my ears. I have tried all available memory foam tips, and that works better but not great.

Fit is so subjective depending on your ears.
I love wearing buds due to their lack of weight but it drives me nuts having to constantly push them back in again
I suppose the big question is how much do certain features matter to the individual user? Because the Airpod Pros 2 add a bunch of “small” things that add up to a more complete product. The H2 chip in the APP2 more or less can replace an AirTag if your headphones case are attached to your keys. The ANC level on APP2 might also matter more, as might the physical size of the case.
The big Beats advantages mostly seem to be about cost and the wing-tips. For first gen, I’ve been rocking APP1 (so before Beats Pro existed), and used them a lot over the 3 years I’ve had them. Unfortunately they’ve broken and Apple recommends I replace both headphones ($89x2 = $178), even they said in this situation you may as well just buy a new set.
Anyway, say all that to say APP2 seem like the more logical move for me, because I care more about the tech. I use them for “everything”. When I’m mobile I’m using them on my iPad Pro, Macbook Pro, etc to get work done. And also when I’m working out. Like you, the move also for me is using Comply or other foam tips. However for me it’s less about how they stay in and more that the original silicon tips hurt my ears. Not sure how that works out at any size. If it was friction or irritation or what. But after an hour of use with silicon tips my ears would physically hurt whereas wearing the foam tips I can wear them until they die.
So I think I’m going to go for APP2, the case size matters to me, the tech matters, the H2 chips matters to me. It just seems like the more complete package.
Fit is the most important thing in my book. This one feature impacts use and significantly changes audio quality if they become loose. I think all earbuds should at least come with optional wingtips. It’s the most obvious need yet for some reason gets overlooked. I could never run with the AirPods without constantly needing to adjust them back in or having them fall out. IMO that makes them unusable. For at home listening or at your desk, over ear makes sense with the boost in quality you get.
I have both. That said, I’d STILL get AirPods Pro. If you only had to get one, and you don’t have fit issues, you’d fair better with AirPods (2s,3s,Pro/2). You’re getting (2s being the exception) Spatial audio, and all current models offer Qi charging versions, with the 3s and Pros adding MagSafe. With that, you could only carry a MagSafe battery (any brand, but I prefer Apple’s) in a pinch. I know us techies always carry more, but for the “civilian” crowd that’s a functional solution.

I tried them both and both have issues. I ended up just going for the power beats they don’t fall out they don’t have anc but I prefer they stay in my ear.
Great review! I had the AirPod pros 1 and didn’t really stay in my ear. Tried third party memory foam ear tips and still didn’t stay in my ear. Now what worked, was the third party ear hooks but you have to take the ear hooks off every time you need to charge your pods. That was an inconvenience. So I purchased the Beats Fit Pros and they really fit. Since the AirPods Pro 2nd Gen came out, I am debating on switching but after your review, I would probably experience the same issue with AirPods Pro Generation 1. So maybe I will get a different color in the Beats Fit Pros 😂 while they are on sale! May take a look at the AirPods Max at least for traveling purposes.

I also had third-party foam tips and third party wings. Needless to say my experience was exactly the same. With the foam tips, they still fall out, even while talking, and the wings made inconvenient to charge. So yeah, I did really try to give them a go, but the BFP solves all these issues. I think they are the best, especially if you go to the gym or run.

I bought the AirPods Pro’s and returned them in less than 2 weeks. Would not stay in my ears. Bought the beats fit pros and they are much better, but still come out sometimes. I wish they revamped the Powerbeats pros to incorporate anc and transparency mode
Hopefully I’ll get a reply to this! Basically I’m the same the AirPod do not stay in but eartip test they say they don’t fit 🤣 so even with the little fin will they actually fit my ear? Cause I’m assuming it’s still the same shape as the AirPod pros? Debating about going over ear
I agree the AirPods absolutely do not stay in my ears. One fell out into a bowl of water I had while in the kitchen and now every time I put the AirPod in my ear it makes a sharp high sounding tone in my ear. Consequently I have to get new ones. I am seriously looking at the Beats. Thank you for the thorough comparison.

Hey everyone, I was thinking to get the Fittro, but wanted to know if when you take one of the buds out of your ears does it automatically pause the music like AirPods??? I love that feature I would be sad to leave it behind
I have just switched to the beats ones because of the fit. Like you, they fell out even when sitting still only a few days in but loving the fit of the beats ones.
In fact, the Beats Fit Pro could very well be the ultimate earbuds 🤔
They have the U1 chip for automatic switching between Apple devices, and now thanks to the new Google Fast Pair update, all devices that have it can switch between all Android devices linked to the same Google account.
Sony implemented it on its earbuds lately, and if Apple plays the game, the Beats Fit Pro will really have a very big advantage over any earbud in the world.
I love the Airpods pro's. Bought them to pair with my S21U but they just won't stay in my ear. Tried multiple different sizes and third party tips with no luck. I hope these beats fit pro work better for me!

I have both and I prefer the beats fit pro mainly because I use them to workout and having an airpod fall out of my ear while jogging and then needing to look for it etc is stressful, you'll end up buying 5 pair of airpods before realizing you need a better option. My ears are small too.

Love the honesty. I agree that the ANC is not that different. Airpods never stay in my ears. If I'm running or just have sweat around my ears, this is so frustrating. All the technology doesn't make a difference if they don't even stay in the ear. Beats Fits Pros for sure.

The apple AirPods Pro fall right out no matter what tip I use and I don’t even have to move much. That’s the reason I sold mine and got the Beats Fit Pro.
Great review! I completely agree! I could never get the Air Pod Pro’s to stay in my ear, just sitting still. I switched to the Beats Fit Pro and can shake my hard (probably until I blacked out) and the Beats Fit Pro’s will still be in my ears. Great sound, noise cancellation, auto switching, message read out, transparency mode, Spatial Audio, not much more you can ask for at a cheaper price.
Absolutely agree! The AirPods Pro 2 ‘do not’ stay in my ears unless I’m sitting quietly! As a cyclist and someone who uses the AirPods Pro 2 for hours of excessive training and indoor cycling too, almost every day, I cannot tell you how irritating, and common, it is for the AirPods Pro 2 to fall out. Question: would you get off your bike to pick them up off of the floor mid-race? No neither would I. I Can’t tell you how many indoor cycle races I’ve finished with both AirPods on the floor! I’m writing this comment as I sit wearing my brand new (today) Beat Fit Pro’s ready for this afternoons ride … let’s see if they’re any better than the AirPods Pro 2 and can finish the race with me! By the way AirPod Pro 2 sound is amazing, that’s why I’ve persisted with them, until now.

Can u give us your judgement shane steven? Whats better in terms of sound quality when listening musics, the microphone or voice quality and the fit?
I’ve had the first AirPod Pros for awhile now and they are my daily driver which I’ll still continue to use, but whenever I go on a run as my body starts to sweat I find myself constantly readjusting my AirPods so they don’t fall out. I ordered a pair of the Beats Fit Pros to hopefully solve that problem.
Give us an update! If I have to readjust stuff 24/7 then I don’t want AirPods, but I already have cheap headphones with silicone thingys and I do t have to adjust them. Idk I just need more info before I buy one of the brands

Beats fit pro buds won’t charge to 100% the case charge to the max with no issue but the buds it self tap out at like 97 98 I don’t know what’s the issue am returning there’s for the Jabra elite 7 pro
I have the Pro 2s now, some great features but the left bud always slips out. Thinking I may go back and switch them for the Beats as they are $50 less. I am in the gym a lot and need that secure fit! Anyway, great video man!

I've got AirPods Pros and they fit my ears really well, I'm able to run with them too. They'll only start to fall out when I start sweating a lot. Old wired earpods fit my ears well too

I was on my way to target not sure which to buy. Ultimately got the BEATS because I’ve never been disappointed. The fit sold me because I’m a gym rat, they sound amazing as always. The pods get rave reviews but they never fit my ears.

I'm deaf in my right ear so I use both buds in my left ear. I was wondering with the beats fit pros can you use the right bud for the left ear or the wing tip gets in the way or it just won't fit at all
A small point: The Beats fit pro come in some great colors. I got the yellow ones. They look awesome and distinct.
nah man, these air pods pro wont fit my ears too. i really like them, but its just a pain, when they constitently falling out of my ear. i think, ill return them and get the beats fit pro
I thought the base on the Beats Fit Pro was a bit low, and the noise cancelling was poor compared to some my Jabra Elite 7 Pro, which I have misplaced at home somewhere, or the cats have stollen, I blame the cats.
AirPods Pro fit very well on my ears, xs tips only.

I discovered the Beats Fit Pros 2 years ago and have never been disappointed.
Suggestion: please share the benefits of having access to “Headphone Accommodations” settings. Access to these settings allows individuals to lock in a sound preference. Also allows you to create an “Audiogram”, which is like prescription glasses for your ears.

The audio level of this video is about 1/2 as loud as all others I generally watch, for example I watched Strange Parts latest video just before this one and had to turn up the vol even as I’m casting to my tv, queue up a couple of others video then this and I’m sure you will hear the difference. The normal AirPods with the long stem fit my ears perfectly. I bought the AirPods Pro 2 but they did not stay in my ears and it was infuriating….. I was not willing to pay extra for memory foam tips as they may not even work, so I got a refund. I’m tempted to buy the beats fit pro after watching this video though because I need better audio quality and ANC

The way AirPods handle loud noises with transparency mode on is much better than the Beats. The AirPods just turn down the transparency. The Beats turn off. And if they turn off too many times, they’ll freak out and restart.
It’s my only beef with Beats. They’re great for everything else.
I find the AirPods can’t block out sudden noises as it takes a moment for their intelligent noise processing to kick in

My airpod pros 2 got stolen and every time i would go on my outdoor ice to shoot pucks, my airpods would always feel like they’re about to fall out so i think i might go for the beats but i don’t know

I have both and the AirPods are way more comfortable for long listens, say an hour plus. So as you say fit is hugely subjective. I will say though they are both excellent and you won’t be disappointed with either of them.
AirPods pro 1st gen were destroying my ears. Specifically the right one was always quite sore. I wonder if the beats gonna be better.

I can sleep in AirPods, the Beats Pro shuts off because I roll over and the horrible pause switch makes it a total loser. I have both - I prefer the Beats for the gym. The Pros for sleep.

The Airpods Pro (1st gen) are slowly coming out when eating/chewing or laughing. I am seriously thinking about getting the Beats Fit Pro.
Also, I hate not being able to take them out with one hand and it looks like the Beats case opening upwards makes this a lot easier.

The only thing preventing me from buying airpod pros 2nd gen is I'm scared about them not fitting me. The only thing preventing me from buying the beats fit pros is lack of wireless charging 😢
I charge mine so rarely, using them at the gym every day and for calls here and there - the Charging doesn’t really bother me. But yeah, the fit on the pros is my issue too!
I have the Beats Fit Pro, and I am using them instead of my big Sony XM5 over-the-ear headphones for air travel; they surprisingly have much better active noise canceling than the Sony's; of course, the battery life is a different story. The biggest downfall of the Beats Fit Pro is they are completely useless to use when on a phone call in environments with even the slightest background or wind noise, I will repeat they are 100% useless when talking to people because they will not hear you due to them constantly cutting out. I have to carry my Plantronics Voyager when I have to be on a call.
Do you have an iPhone that allows you to isolate your mic or pick up wide spectrum sound?

Nobody ever tests the Airpod pro to Airpod pro call quality. Have one person open a bag of chips on the call and time how long it takes for the other persons eardrums to explode from the amplification of the treble.

I can definitely testify about the hype around airpods pro 2. In term of noise cancelling they are not better than the first gen airpods pro. Why reviewers have to praise Apple for everything?
Yeah lots of them jump on the products just to ride the traffic, but honestly some of the updates are so minor, they get overblown for no reason.
No offense I had both products but AirPods Pro 2 noise canceling is better than the first one in my experience
