Why does it seem like every time I see someone fight a monster on youtube, the monster is like an average monster and they can all stay around it and do damage. But when me and my friends fight a monster they literal run all over the map like a crack head and we all have to chase it to try to hit it.
Because you or your friends are spread out all over the area like crackheads as well. When I team up with friends the monster stays in one spot unless its pulling back to roar or in this case with zinogre, charging up.
Use challenge mantle...
You have to learn to be around the monster in order for him to limit his moveset
I think he means zone transitioning in witch case that’s extremely relatable and has caused me to rage quite like 5 times already. Their AI just breaks and they move zones only 30 seconds into the current one😢😂
monsters have stamina, you just aren't draining it.

Flora frostbite is up on PC right now, you can farm that fast for decos. You can complete the quest and be back in the same quest again within 2 minutes and get 1-4 decos per run. Use geology lvl 2 at least and master gatherer as well as assassin mantle to do it faster.
@@Tog4Real it doesn't help you for decorations rarity 11 and 12. But this are the most important. So I'm annoyed that our pc version doesn't have it as well

After a lot of farming, I finally got my third weakness exploit jewel and a Critical boost jewel from the quest Named The name's Lavasioth!
If you have high enough research level then a skull icon will start to appear on a monsters minimap icon

If you want mighty bow deco you gotta farm “the names lavasioth” you have a better chance at getting a rare lvl 2 i got guard up, minds eye, mighty bow all the lvl 2s in the game from that event

The skull picture shows up on mini map for the monster, this means able to be captured. You need to collect to tracks for your scout flies for it to work per monster.
The skull picture only shows up when it's limping, limping means it's 5-10% hp?
and capture range is 25%-10%, you can capture even when not limping

When you're mounted on most monsters you can bypass the stamina loss and finish mounts faster if you move spots when the "Brace" shows up

The new event with Nargucuga and Tigrex gives you a crap ton of stones as well, but I think it's more ancient stones in that one as well
You now have to pick up a track from the monster your hunting so it tells you when hes capturable. Definitely works.
I only have to do that if i havent hunted the monster in question in a while. Most of the time I stick to specific monsters (mostly because I have a bunch of tempered investigations for that 1 monster)

Personally, Stygian is easier. When he does his backslam, he'll follow up with his spinny attack which leaves him open for a headsnipe.

FYI: This quest is better for those who cannot farm 5 box T3 tempered master rank investigations.
If you have a squad with meta builds, I'd recommend doing those instead of this quest.
You'll receive more Sealed Feystones per hour (the only feystone that matters imo)
Been farming those for a few months now, my luck kinda sucks. I have better decos than most but 70+% of my rarity 12 deco drops are elemental 4 decos or elemental resistance 4 decos.
Hold up. Greatest Jagras would throw-up extra decos for you to grab off of the ground. TNILavasioth would leave extras in his various fireball craters, especially his geyser-lava-trout jumps. And you can NORMALLY use the capture net on Zinogre when they are stunned to snatch Fulgur Bugs off of them, to lower their charge...has ANYONE tried using the capture net on the Zinogre in this quest?! Because that might be how you get extras decorations from him! Unless this isn’t THAT kind of deco farm...I’ll check in a little bit.
Too bad most of the decos i need drop from sealed feystones only. I guess i'll stick with t3 spamming for now T_T

Paul Mims yo get 40%/reward slot so statisticaly you will get more than 1 sealed/ hunt if you do 3 and 4 rewards investigations

Knew i needed this type of quest for things, been trying out alot of other weapon classes but feel like im not at their full potential cause of a few decos here and there.
Using the silver alchemy tickets is the best way to get good basegame deco's, just farm up coal in guiding lands and bring it to steaworks. then once you have enough silver alcehmy tickets youll get a ton of focus/mightybow/artillery jewels and whatnot
Once you've gathered enough data on the monsters, a skull will appear on the map once they're ready to be captured. Easy.
Even then. If you don't hunt that monster frequently or if you haven't hinted it recently you need to grab some tracks to keep the skull on the mini-map (I refuse to kill Zinogres, only capture)

Anyone grinding for god decos like challenger +4 or attack +4 try playing quests with a 20 min duration, 1-2 faints, threat temp level 3. I played for 3-4 hours couple of days back and got a furor +4 deco, yesterday I played for 2-3 hours and got a challenger+4 and today after 2 quests i got an attack +4. All those quests were 20 min, 1-2 faints with 4 reward boxes. I have been playing those quests either alone or with just 1 more player, so max 2 players. Either i'm extremely lucky or the frequency of god decos is higher in 20 min 1-2 faint temp level 3 quests. Just thought I will share this with everyone. Hopefully it helps. Try it out guys.
How am I just seeing this. I am in DESPERATE need of more decorations, let alone more cost efficient ones
What’s the best way to grind decorations on PC right now? They’ve pulled Greatest and Lavasioth and the Meld tickets take too long since you have to farm fuel and then run Steamworks. Last I heard it was T2 investigations with 4-5 boxes.
Depends on what you are trying for. If you are looking for rare lvl 4 decos the quest he is doing is about as good as tempered elders when considering it only takes ~8 min with a good group. If you just need decos in general there are quicker methods but you will not get any of the rare 11 (sealed) feystones.
When you think gacha game is enough for you to suffer, but then you know about Iceborne deco grinds
yesterday I melded weakness exploit/heal boost decoration
Same, I won a tenderizer/constitution jewel and was shocked. The best ones that exist are Tenderizer/Divine Blessing or coupled with Vitality.

Kinda disappointed with this quest. The Great Jagras and Lavasioth were ideal for getting the rare decos you hadn't gotten yet, this just gives you carved feystones with only one sealed. Those "god" decos are still next to impossible to get.
I don't think that's considered re-roll unless u take the same item and change their stats what ur doing is crafting 3 decorations using a bunch of other decorations

I have one crit/vitality jewel and am better than you because of it.
The Flora Frostbite quest is still way more efficient than this. You can drop the quest completion time down to 30 seconds with a dedicated set using the assassin's mantle and gathering charm and you get 2 guaranteed decos up to 4.
Maybe this can help someone: I've found my mighty bow jewel in a guiding lands hunt (tempered ruiner nergigante). Before that I've spent almost 200 hours looking fot decoration doing tempered investigation with no luck.
Ps: I also got a second one and a 4 slot agitator from tempered Namielle-Kirin-Nergi in GL
I got a bunch during the festivals spamming steamworks for silver melding tickets. Those were great for getting those rare base game decos. Only missing the ludicrously rare iceborne combo decos
@@craigfunk3453 True, I think that silver tickets are the easiest way (maybe the fastest too) to get 2-3 slot rare decorations (spread, piercing, agitator, focus ecc ..)

For the people concerned about might bow gem drops, do the lavasloth equivalent quest for gems, if you just dodge him alot and go to where the magma hits the ground i average 12 shinies per hunt, and its all gems. I think i got a mighty bow gem on my 2-3 try.
wait the mighty bow deco is rare? i have two sitting in my box... i don't use bow...
I have never needed to throw down more than 2 tranq bombs to capture as long as it’s done by the head.
This quest is not even close to how good Jagras & Lavasioth was. I did a tempered Zinogre investigation with 4 rewards to compare and got the same amount of deco's. If you don't have good investigations with 4-6 rewards then this quest is good, if you are under MR100 its good but if you have MR 100 investigations even with only 2 rewards your chances of getting a good deco are much better. Most of my MR 100 quest's are 4-6 rewards so these events are a wast of time for me.

This quest was just updated to guarantee 2 sealed feystones every time.
I did it 5 times using the special ticket to increase the reward and using Kirin's Set bonus. And every time I got "garbage decos". So F**** this Event >:(
Imagine running it 5 times and actually expecting to get "decent" decos. You must be new to MH RNG.
@@SprakyBoy MHW is my first game so technically yes, but i got "good decos" in 'Flora frostbite event', and it is technically not a decos event. The same for gold tickets, 86 and nothing good. Only escalate my disappointment with the game :/
@@gilbertodepauladapaz again, that's how MH RNG works. Back in base game there are people with 500+ hours of game time that doesnt have a deco that someone with a 100+ hours of gametime has. 300hrs in and I still havent got my guard up jewel and mighty bow.

From what I've seen and heard is right before Iceborne is spread shot was the best and after Iceborne sticky ammo is the best speed run bowgun build
But can I get critical boost jewel decorations! 400+ hours in mhw iceborne and I have yet to obtain a single critical boost jewel 😣

I got an earplug/evasion deco. I didnt even know they had earplug/anything deco I wonder what else I'll find 😁 really want charger/vitality but desire sensor is strong. I feel bad for all the people that cant get shield gem. I am fortunate that I got one and as a gunlance main it is invaluable. I have over 1000hrs in this game btw
I think you should go to the flora frostbite event. I got to have one charger/medicine
To be honest getting the might bow jewels were easiest for me with the Silver guild tickets because they don't allow for the Giant level 4 decorations and they are the rarer decorations before iceborne dropped.

Wasn't the skull icon on the minimap a reliable tell when to capture a monster? Provided you had his research bar filled to the max?
It's still a good indicator but it's overall more difficult to know when a monster is ready to capture in comparison to base game. Another good indicator to keep in mind is the heartbeat monitor. It begins to flatline when it's near death.
I legit subscribed because of the nonchalant way he said " yea that's me playing with one hand " the little laugh was a bonus. Made me feel good.

It's not harder to get Mighty Bow in Iceborne, it's easier. I wanted to play bow, never did it in base game with 300 hours played, but never had a Mighty Bow gem so I didn't even bother. I got together with a group from your own discord and we farmed Tempered Silver Rathalos like 10 times and I got 2 Mighty Bow gems during that time. One time might be called luck, but getting two tells me that the odds are much better now. The difficulty has honestly changed now, base game gems are much easier to get, the most rare ones you can get much easier with T2 & T3's now, and the more common ones you can get with the Festivals with the Steamworks & Melding Tickets (I got 4 attack jewels with ~60k coal spent the very last day of the Grand Appreciation Fest, and starting today the Melding Tickets are back so you can farm coal in the Guiding Lands an hour a day to get a very good number of decorations, and the odds of you getting most of what you need from the base game is pretty good). Now, the real difficulty is getting the good level 4 decorations because you never get Attack+, Expert+ or Agitator+, and you also never get good level 4 combined decos with Physique, Tenderizer or Vitality. I have so many of these yet the only non-trash one that I have is a Challenger/Vitality one, the rest is garbo.

Try playing without the foot, that might increase your success.
The RNG for decorations in this game is so bad. Did this quest for several hours today and didn't get a single decoration I wanted. I literally got a drain jewel from a *sealed feystone!* It's such an easy problem to fix though. Just make it so that feystones of a certain rarity only drop decorations of a similar rarity. That way there's still RNG but it will be far more likely for you to get the decorations you want.
Does kirin and legiana high rank bonus rewards set bonuses increase rewards after a master rank hunt? I've still got my old set and I can go swap to it whenever a monster is with white skull... but I never see anyone doing that so I figured it doesn't work
Do you have any recommendations for farming Sharp jewel?
I recommend you to farm the tempered lavasioth in high rank event quest if you trying to farm guard up or sharp jewel...use safi aquashot if you have and kill the lavasioth as fast as possible...keep farming that lavasioth until u get the deco...

It's strange to me that people are currently struggling to get mighty bow I put in 650 hours before ib and never got one. Ive gotten 3 since dlc as well as spread shot and normal shot. Silver melding tickets seem to have a pretty good drop rate for more rare gems got my first rng attack gem through those as well. Very very good to farm melding tickets if you are in need of gems

I was originally a dual blades user when World first came out, then I tried charge blade, then longsword, and after that I used great sword for most of my play through. A year later Iceborne came out, and I went through Iceborne with the great sword. Then Safi came out months later and I used the Safi Sleep great sword. And then I finally switched to hammer. It’s a really good weapon if you know how to use it and
how to do each move. I’ve gotten quicker hunts because of it.
if you are playing console, usb your save then hit the melder for as many 3's as you can afford. Find your deco and the number of times it took to get it, reload your old save with all your decos still intact and do an expedition x times lol Why do it the hard way when you can break rnjesus and get whatever decos you want melding ;)

So my guess is more rares than the other decomfarms yes? Because you get like 32 in the others, but theyre all common ones. I guess those guys may have use if you wanna mass farm low tier decos to reroll?
im glad melding tickets are back with the event. I have around 9k stored fuel Im hoping for a shit load of steel melding tickets because I still need my mag jewel.
Aim for silver tickets. Those are the best chance I my experience to get rare base game decos (they are what finished my base game deco collection; magazine jewel included)
Far easier now to do "Flora Frostbite" MR event quest if available to people, it is ridiculous easy with good RNG :)
You mostly get low quality decos in that quest. Not really worth it
@@andresmoreno3132 @Andres, not sure about that because i get between 3-5 decos and usually at least one is giant. I already farmed about 10 giant decos from doing it about 20-25 times, sorry i didnt keep accurate count. Either way, it is still the easiest way to get tons of decos fast for people stuck and needing them to improve builds. :)

Idk man, this gives only one sealed feystone per hunt (and im guessing is not giving it every hunt) and thats the only feystone that matters if you are aiming for top decos.

Looking for a Mighty Bow? Silver Melding Tickets. They get a load of Decos, none of them are lvl4 and you just need to use the Steamworks a lot. You'll get what you need eventually.
You can only get them during festivals though

I really did have to go down to high rank to get those deco's but some of are available with the elder melder with the gold,silver and platinum tickets
I just mine ores at GL for 1hr which can net me around 55k steam points then use rubber to hold down R2 til runs out of points to get the guild alchemy tickets how I got all my missing gems(Mighty Bow, Spread, Pierce, Attack etc)
