All that’s needed is the o-ring(if you car still hits vtec), the valve body it self probably didn’t need changed. Had the same leak when I got my 14 si at the beginning of the year. Really didn’t wanna spend 200 sum odd bucks the dealer wanted for a new part so I just took it out swapped the o ring and have been good to go. O rings just get hard and no longer form a good seal. (Ironically the dealer sold me a broken bumper support bracket and didn’t catch it and after having to drive back to return it ((over and hour for me)) they ended up giving me the o ring and the filter/oring assembly for the little cover that’s prone to leaking under the belt tensioner for free) some people recommend putting Honda bond on the ring but I didn’t because the factory didn’t. Anyway keep twisting wrenches
Yoo I have that issue I think it’s either that or the VVT gasket… I thought it was the inspection plate on the side but it keeps leaking oil.. well I don’t see it on my driveway but even after I clean my can when I do my tuneup it’s still gets dirty with oil… and it looked like it was coming from above the block… it’s not a heavy leak but it’s annoying sometimes I smell oil burning too lmk if that’s the issue cus specially on 9th gen SIs the whole motor is pretty much under the dashboard
Having an issue at the moment that’s stressing me out. Four days ago I noticed when I would take sharp turns I’d get “ check engine oil level “ and as soon as I’d drive normal it would go away , and it’s been doing that ever since. I checked my oil yesterday by looking at the dipstick and it was dry. I decided to do an oil change and when I jacked up my car I noticed it there was dried up oil around the oil filter area and alongside other spots by it. I assumed that maybe I didn’t tighten the filter enough, so I made sure to do it this time lol . I finished doing the oil change and drove it a bit and still got the light that says “ check engine oil level “when I took a sharp turn . As soon as I got back to my place I checked the dipstick again and it was still dry. Could it be this issue? Or did you have anything familiar ?
i am literally experiencing the same thing. Check Engine Oil level in low rpms in all gears but goes away in higher rpms. I’m about ready to change the oil pressure switch and if it doesn’t work, it’s time for a new pump.

Is this a common problem? just noticed the same thing on my 2019
Might’ve just been the rubber gasket around it but i didn’t want to take any chances
Yo what good Isaac
