I would love to see a tech that is pretty much a hangar, but the inside of the hangar is filled with explosives (preferably bombs) and strong shielding to protect it that you trap enemies in
I made a large truck and strapped a crap load of flamethrowers (venture cause it was on console) and drove over techs then there would be just remains.

keeping with your "Bigger and Ugly is a GOOD thing" (how i personally like it lol)
you could have made a small cage at the bottom of the machine inside the pillars with the scrappers taking a single side and scrapping the parts from the inside of it.
this way it would be a single inclusive tower that scraps anything that DARES to land inside of it :D

One of my favourite things I've built is a hover tank, and a hovering mortar platform.

Place a anchor, with ONLY a magnet on it, nearby the scrapper.
(it can unfortunately NOT be a part of the scrapper-structure because the scrapper ignore the "magnets"-blocks.)
It will catch all blocks that are thrown away & deliver it where it should, (note the range, so it doesn't catch the refined blocks & create a infinite scraping cycle.)

Use Venture for rare resources, & Geocorp for the most common resources, and GSO or Hawk for the middle ground resources.
(Because otherwise you will waste precious resources while haveing thousands of blocks of common resources).
I think an intresting build idea is an "space" elevator type build.
the "elevator" part would be used to move parts and resources down and up it to the main part, the base. While the base house the crafting and other essentials. the bottom would be mostly scrapers and sorters and what not.
tho due to constraints(resonable ones at that) this isn't all that possible unless its an scaled down version.
So, here’s what you can do. Find a ratio of venture resource blocks (8 resource per block) and some other one. If one of them has a multiple of 8, set it up to “condense” the venture blocks into higher chunks

A way you could do it for minimum scrapping effort is have a bunch of GeoCorp scrappers, then one venture scrapper. This way if there are extras (Like when you want to get rid of it) you can only lose 7.

Why isn't the right-most 3 refineries not refining anything?
Only the first refinery works (probably a Terratech-"quirk")
It can be beneficial to remove the conveyor-loop & instead scrap it directly into a Silo & extract & refine it from there, (a silo can accept more blocks each "tick" than a conveyor can, so it can sooth out peaks in the performance)
you could have an intermediary tech that turns the venture blocks into higher tier blocks.
Venture for gathering, then compress for use.
That was a corrupt block that the SCU wouldn’t take, they are unplaceable and super annoying. When you ran into them before you send you were going to make a laser furnace to destroy them.

You could make a "compressing" base, that turns Venture blocks into GSO, or Geocorp.
(I don't think you actually loose blocks from un-ancoring, you should test that (if you haven't?) ).

Nice looking scrapping->bricker base. :-) Have you figured out yet that you basically can't get any of the top few tier resource chunks from scrapped blocks? They're (pretty much) all incorporated into the high value Components. And there's no in-game alchemy for splitting those back down, of course.
So there's no real way to avoid mining if you wanna bulk fabricate (apart from, like, turning one type of missile into a different type, by reusing it's 'Seed AI', etc).
Yeah I actually plan to explain this in the next video - Essentially I'm going to be hoarding the components, still avoiding harvesting at all costs! :P

There's about twice as many component types as basic resources and they are very unevenly distributed in terms of frequency of occurrence.
A component storage type base is about the only type I've not tried my hand at properly, to date. It's just so... messy. But should make for lots of extra stuff to store on your sky base, eventually. Good luck.

Lathrix please make a magnet tech to collect corpses easier. Just after the fight put on SCU and summon magnet tech and drive around. Trust me it makes it much easier.
Lath I would suggest adding that thing (can't remember it's name) that picks up chuncks from the ground to the loop also, would help
