So happy that you’re back on RUclips Olu, I haven’t seen you since the end of my sophomore track season, after I practically got my heart broken and my sporting soul crushed at my sectional meet after not being to improve for a whole season. Since then, I’ve watched so many of your videos over and over again and just absorbed all of the information you have on your channel. I’ve managed to PR multiple times in both of the horizontal jump events since then, and am looking towards making State in my final 2 years of high school. Still have more work to do, but I appreciate you being a integral part of it! Much love 🤞🏼🫡

First, my sincere condolences for the passing of your father. It is clear that you are a very good person: your father has teach you well. He is now in heaven with God, our All Mighty creator, and with Jesus our Savior.
I am a veteran (51 years old) track athlete and I absolutely appreciate your videos because you are giving us extremely good advices on how to practice and become the best athlete we can be. I am very confident that I will be able to break the 5m mark on long jump and 10m mark in triple jump (PB being 6m85 LJ/12m63 at age 19 when I unfortunately quit because I started university and didn't have time back then), thanks to your great channel!
Continue your great work and I will be looking forward to your next videos, when you will find time to produce other of your's very fine :). Might the Lord continue to shine upon you. :)

I know this comment is kinda late but I'm in 8th grade and I don't have a jumping coach and these videos have been super helpful! I have 3 weeks before the season starts and wondered what you would recommend to focus on to improve my triple jump. My PR last year was around 33, and my goal this season is around 40.

Try working on simple bounding drills to improve your leg strength and rhythm through the phases. That’s usually a great starting point.

You are such a good teacher and tbh my school is very small and i dont even have a decent coach to help me progress with my jumps. Long story short i have to train myself and i know i can make progress but i dont think its going to be as good as i wasnt to be. Right now i am hitting 34 feet and i know that sounds bad but i honestly dont hsve any idea on how to train and i have bo coach for support. You are an extemely busy man and I knoe you have a lot on your plate but if you could maybe you could put out a full workout plan or 2 so that i can hopefully reach my full potential.

Welcome back. I am sorry for your loss.
I am a freshman in high school right now and my best jump this season is 39'8.25". I have a few more meets, trying to break 40. My form is not fantastic, but it is much better than most other people I have seen, so that scares me in terms of my potential. I want to jump 50 feet senior year (hopefully not an unrealistic goal) and I want to jump 46 next season. Would lots of bounding and other strength work over the summer anb fall get me there, or is that to unrealistic of an expectation?
