    When you did the big area, how did you actually know what was fertilised and what wasn't? Could you actually see the fertiliser on the grass or was it just a guess?

    • @bettercallchadd
      @bettercallchadd  7 месяцев назад

      You can't really see once it's on the ground. I pick a pattern so I know where I have been.

    A most excellent explanation! I just fired TruGreen after 18 years and am getting ready to start fertilizing myself. Kinda excited! Bought an EarthWay spreader and last week sent off my soil for a soil test. Should hopefully have results with this week. Then I will decide what brand fertilizer I’m going to get. I was going to do the Scott’s plan, but was recommended Fertilome by a couple people. But was also recommended to do the soil test first to see what my lawn actually needs. Regardless, this video is an excellent tutorial on how spread it right! Thank you, Chad!

      Where are you located? I live in Connecticut I work with a company called Teed & Brown we get a lot of tru greens ex-costumers because they hate tru-green. Our company is the best in the north east. Teed and Brown is taking over with over 10,000+ costumers. And a ton of five star reviews!!

    Scott’s broadcast spreaders are terrible, I made that mistake trying to save money, a malfunction striped my yard. Don’t recommend Scott’s anything.

    • @bettercallchadd
      @bettercallchadd  Год назад +1

      I can agree there. I have a better spreader linked, but unfortunately, it does cost significantly more. I think it's worth it.

    • @johnc.9133
      @johnc.9133 Год назад +1

      The scotts spreader shoots the fertilizer into the wheels because the broadcaster sits too low. Not above the tires. The result is stripes due to overfeeding between the wheels.

    • @bettercallchadd
      @bettercallchadd  Год назад +1

      @johnc.9133 What a poor design. Not even worth buying then. It's worth spending about 120 to 150 on a good one.

    It looks like the "spinner" is not spinning. It happens to me with my Lesco spreader, too. Or is it a video distortion? Thanks.

    • @bettercallchadd
      @bettercallchadd  3 года назад

      No this from a lawn. This is from going at too high of a rate and not walking fast enough!! This can absolutely happen if the spinner is broken as well.

    Why do you
    Have nothing but black in in what looks like the hottest day of the year?

    • @bettercallchadd
      @bettercallchadd  Год назад

      Because we apply humic acid all day, which is black. As long as it's a good breathable material, it doesn't make much of a difference.
