*My ssd is 512GB M.2 NVMe™ PCIe® 3.0 SSD, Supports upto Gen 4 SSD does it suitable for this encloser*
The Western Digital SN770 NVMe seems not to work well with the RLT9210 chipset.
gotta get me one of these for my laptop for when my game drive fills up put a 500GB WD black in there
Hey man thank you for the tutorial, if i have data in my SSD would i be able to retrieve it when i use it as an external harddrive?
Yes, if you don’t format it then
I get the exactly same speeds when installed the ssd on a ryzen 3200u asus laptop which runs at Nvme 3.0 x2 is there something wrong with this ssd?
No matter which ssd u use, d case or enclosure limits d speed, 1GBPS is d maximum speed in dees cases(thereoticaly)
Nice🥰🥰thanks
Your welcome
Thank you. This helped me format my m.2 ssd for use as an external hard drive.
Your welcome
Sir can i use in dell laptop e5520
Can this run nvme m.2 pci e 4.0?
Good video. How do u get faster speeds?
Faster case, ssd, and faster port on pc/laptop
does this mean an existing nvme ssd stick already been used on the motherboard would have to be intialized before usb use ? hence erasing it's existing files ?
Yes
7:13: this doesn't always show up. You needed to explain what if this box/Initialize Disk option doesn't appear.
Hi i have one question.. when i connect my enclosure to computer it shows only 475 gb available where as when connected to mobile it shows 511 gb and disk size is 512 g....is there anything I could do
Usually it shouldn't be kept as full. That's why it's showing 475gb on your PC, which actually is smarter than your mobile phone. So it's to protect the SSD and never keep it full. It will reduce the life of SSD significantly.
Thanks, What if i already have data on my NVME will i be avle yo retrieve that ?
It should, but not fully sure
I did this casing with my m2 nvme ssd, I want to use it to transfer my files from my iphone 15 to this ssd directly via type c cable. The ssd is not showing up on my iphone on the files app. PLS help !!!
Make sure you formatted it in the right format
Brother, Can this be performed in ipad as well ??
Yes
Bro which nvme m2 SSD would you recommend?
bro did you buy any? I am thinking of buying one enclosure. I am a bit hesitant about its speed?
@@morgenstern7865 no i didnt' bought any. so i cant give you recommendations
Brother can we once again use nvme ssd as internal if we want to use it for installing windows in it.... Because currently I have wd nvme m.2 ssd 500gb .... But i don't have nvme slot in my laptop... Plzzz help 🙏🙏
When you buy your laptop it will come with anSSD. Why not just clone / ghost the new SSD to your 500GB SSD? Good chance that your new SSD will be 500GB or larger: no reason to ghost /clone.
If I use this one my Xbox will it load games faster like it would as if it was internal
If internal is an ssd, then this will be slower
@@WasayTech thank you

Yes
Bro if this is m.2 nvme pcie lan then you wated your money on your external drive holder but if its only m.2 nvme ssd then it's fine 😮
Only m2 nvme
Thanks. Hate the knob.
Your welcome
What if we wanna connect it to android ?
It can connect
@@WasayTech by exFAT or NTFS?
You have to take out the brand sticker first, before putting the thermal pad
10 gigabits/sec is equal to around 10240 mb/s not 1220 mb/s bro :)
1 byte = 8 bits so he is right
Usually the difference between bits and bytes is the capital b so 8Gb=1GB and 10240Mb~=1220MB
Man, I love you. You save me from a hungry time. I want pay you a coffee for sure
