Nissan 600HP with stock internals and 500HP with FBO and tune. But everyone talking about how great the Ingetra Type S is and how it'll be better than the Nissan Z. People just like to hate Nissan now.
im really lucky to live so close to z1. these guys kill it with everything z related
Z Car Garage does phenomenal things as well.
Lol I live in Charlotte too and had 4 infinitis G20, M30, G37, and G35 Coupe. The Z is a bummer but I love what Z1 does anyways.
The shop is in North Carolina. Wow nice.
@@sayyanhmuong737 no its in GA

Best of all worlds with this Z! Can't wait till all the SPL Parts goodies comes out for it also in addition to what Z1 has done. It's awesome you visited Z1, great bunch of guys who know their stuff!
It’s really cool seeing how far these guys at Z1 have come. I grew up in Carrollton in the 90s and early 00s when this place was established. Having been away from there since 2003 and seeing cars all over the country with their parts has been really cool. I got a taste of their impact while in Germany and disclosing where I’m from which led to me immediately being asked if I’d heard of them. My periodic visits back home also allowed me to see their facilities grow to what they are today. It’s really impressive what they’ve done.
This not the one in Carrollton right?
@@Brooklynsavo it is. Right there on 61N between triangle and Sand Hill.
@@brandonchism6960 I brought a house over there I remembered watching them finishing the building to what it is now amazing I past by it every day and admire the z’s
@@BrooklynsavoCan I ask how you brought your house there? I've been trying to move my house to a new city, but I'm having trouble doing it. I pretty much just accepted that it's not possible to bring your house with you when you move, but your comment has given me new hope!
Z1 is the most trusted shop for the Nissan and Infiniti brand. Bought bunch of mods for my two g37 IPLs. Great team 👍
I guess you have never heard of AMS.

Z34 sounds good to me. That car is growing on me. I'm loving it
370z is the Z34. 350z is the Z33. This is the RZ34. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_Z_(RZ34)
Rather call it RZ35 , VR engine is enough to add 1 to the 34
Funny mini 2008 gtr with 370z chassis
I did a ride along at the AMP track last year at Z1 nationals track day, this thing is FAST. CAN'T wait to ride it again this year at road Atlanta
Love my Z and the parts Z1 is coming out for it! Can't wait till I can afford more to put on it!!
finally ordered some replacement hatch struts from Z1 a couple months back for my 350z.... after having a failed back surgery I don't drive it much, and it was always parked Winters anyway, but being a perfectionist I couldn't continue to leave those OEM struts in a now 20 year old 350z; purchased in 2010. First true failure in my Z too. Baffling how these didn't ship with upgraded hatch struts for all that weight. Anyway, ZI is a great outlet for Z parts, though, there are some others, but I don't think the others are creating parts like Z1.
as a fellow Z nut, always enjoy the great Z content.
I can't believe the 350Z is 20 years old now...something about that remark hit me hard. A good, clean design that is aging well. P.S. Hope your back is okay/better over time.
Larry you were right, the 93 MAXIMA SE was a VE30DE, NOT the VG30E. The VE was dohc 190hp and made in the SE only models from 1992-1994 (before they went to VQ in 1995) the other models GXE/GLE remained getting the VG Until the model change in 1995 when all Maximas got the VQ30DE. (DE is dual overhead cam)
The E stands for multiport fuel injection. the D is dual overhead cam. to my understanding
@13:51 Correction: The RedSport Q50s & Q60s (400hp version) do, in fact, have turbo speed sensors. Typical sales guy.
Lol I’m glad someone pointed that out. Respect bro !!🫡💯
I decided to search for this reply instead of blurting it out. C'mon...you have to know your stuff. IIRC, the speed sensors were dropped around 2020...someone please fact check.
@@joesix4726 I believe the speed sensors have been on the VR30DDTT (400 HP) variant since 2016. The only difference between the 2 engine specs is that the 400 HP variant has the turbo sensors, additional water pump for cooling and the Final drive axel ratio (3.13) which helps improve acceleration and response.
This guy doesn’t know as much as he acts lol
Maxima gang! My first car was a 91 charcoal grey Maxima SE. Black leather. Bose audio. Loved that car! Back when I was 17 I couldn't afford much, but I wired in some black lights, subs, and cold air intake. Had lots of fun and turned out it was my gateway to other Nissans. Funny to see how many people found there way into the brand with these great 90's four door sedans.
My first car was a 96 maxima back in 2007. I now own an 82 maxima wagon.
Started with a couple of hard bodies then maxima the 90zxtt black on black leather t tops, lived it had exh intake jim wolf boost jets chip.about 400hp great car
Nice, my dad had a '92 Maxima, an '02 and an '03. He loves Maxima's. He bought an '04 brand new and I'm still driving it in 2023. Excellent car, no complaints.
its not called 400Z, that was a journalist speculative name, its just called Z. No numbers before it.
This is the 600Z
@@cosmic_gate476 yea um no
I personally have a 350z with the touring exhaust and I absolutely love it. You still get that crazy good Z sound but it's only loud when you're really getting on it and nice and quiet when just cruising. It's the best of both worlds.
Z32 has long been in among my favorite cars.
The host was right, the Maxima SE had the VE30DE from 92-94 and the GXE pre 92 SEs had the VG30E.
Yup! My first car was a 93 VE 5sp.....best 3 yrs of the Maxima ever!
I cringed when the guy “corrected” Larry but was wrong. I was a big fan of the VE30DE, my car was actually the test mule that Jim Wolf technologies used to tune the ECU For that year/model maxima and also do the piggy back nitrous module. Clark Steppler was the man!
It looks so clean! 🥹
The 2023 Z ......it's just the new Z

My Men with the 93'SE maxima!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had 9 maximas, know Moncef Faik since 2005. Im a Maxima Buff as well. All VQ's. Getting FEAL to support suspension program is soooo great.
If you’re a Maxima buff you should know the guy was wrong about the engine code for his 93 Maxima SE having a “VG” lol
@@Superdimensional vg30de
In a way it makes sense to me to call it a 300zx. They're both part of the Z lineage, both have a 3.0 v6 turbo, although the new Z is supposed to commemorate the 240z, the 300zx looks similar as well.
will we ever get a production car with no plastic engine cover and something cool and shiny? im finishing up polishing my 350z upper intake plenum inside and out and I sure wish they came factory polished would be a snap of the fingers for them to do.
FYI: The Nissan Z cars receives their name by the engine size. (Ex. 350z = 3.5L, 370z = 3.7L, 280z = 2.8L).
Nissan made it clear that The 2023 “Z” is a combination of all Z cars into one. It shows ownership & commitment of the Z history. You’re Welcome
Rest in Peace Mr. Yoshihiko Matsuo 🕊️
Honestly they could have easily named it as the 300zx and it would have sold. This car has all of the ZX features. GT like ride and soft suspension, luxury interior (this is way more luxurious and filled with tech than a 350z or 370z), twin turbo 3L V6 that revs to 7k rpm (just like the Z32). They could have called it the 300zx to battle with the A90 MkV Supra just like how the Z32 300zx battled it out with the A80 Mk4 Supra.
And for a Japanese car enthusiast, it would have been like the 90s again. 300zx (this RZ34), A90 MkV Supra, R35 GTR and NC1 NSX
@@Unicornpirate It wouldn’t work because of a different chassis & it’s a different designer. Toshio is the designer of the Z32 and he mentioned that they weren’t going back to previous models. It’s the same thing goes for R34 , R33, & R35.
@@R4SPEED They already called two different chassis 300ZX. So, there goes that theory.
The Z31 and Z32 (both 300ZX) were also designed by different people (Takagi and Sono/Yamashita respectively).
@@R4SPEED The Z31 and Z32 were both called the ZX but both were designed by different designers and had different chassis
I had a 1994 VG30 Maxima mine was 5peed swapped. Had a Stillen cold air and Stillen Exhaust it was actually my mom's car and I bought it from her when I was 16 she bought a 2000 Maxima SE. I miss my Maxima so Much. Do you remember when they changed the Body in 95 they Made a SER Version my friend had that version as well as a 92 2by2. I'm a big Car/Truck Nut I grew up on matchbox and hot wheels I was poor growing up so I didn't own any of the hot wheels tracks so I built my own i developed a crazy talent were I could tell what a car was just from sound or seeing the headlights lol

Love the gunmetal grey. Always been my favorite color for the Z. That and magma red.
This thing looks mean!
I complained about the Z pricing till the integra came out. Id buy this over an integra any day. Miss my Z34

you got the same opinion on the BRZ? cuz thats what this turd looks like lmao
@@Conquest_HDi think you just dont like affordable coupes.
Very cool video.
My first car was a 91 Maxima as well. I was totally in love with the 300zx tt. But it never happened. I did get myself a 91 GTR with gt30 turbos. However RHD insurance in Canada ruined that dream. Should have kept it as an investment, would have made $20k or more if I held on to it for 10 years.
Now I mess around with Audi's.
Nice to hear this Z holds 600whp on stock internals. I would have liked if it was lighter though
I had a 1994 maxima SE! manual. pearl white. Loved it! Learned to drive in an 88 RX7.
Love it. I still have my G37x Sedan and 350z Anniversary Edition Ultra Yellow.
Thanks Larry!
It was carpeted. One of my favorite things about the 300 ZX from the 90s was the interior treatment using the carpet. Can't wait for the Nismo.
I want the new Z but I cannot let go of my 2008 350z. I got my 350z in 2011 with 26k and now it has 150k. It has always had parts and fluids from Z1.
finally a factory turbo z! there hasn't been one since 1991
That grey one is gorgeous. Heading over to my local Nissan to order one now.
I can't decide on a color. Every color option looks good so that will make buying a used one down the road a easy decision. This is the first time I've really seen the white with the black top and it obviously looks sick.
Do the grey brother ✊🏿
I went gunmetal grey. I'm getting my Z in a week.
That grey looked good but I personally like the red. It looks wild under bright lights. Usually those dark reds just get deeper and deeper the more you wax them.
Larry you should cover Z1 owner's Z32, red convertible, or did he change the color again? That would be cool review....how Z1 all started in GA back roads.....
Oh it’s red now? I thought it was still silver?
Id take any Z for real, but a 240Z is my first love. My grandfather had a 240Z with a corvette engine swap, he even had the sidepipes functional on it. It was fast af, it would do 3 inch wheelies when you launched it. My uncle had it one night and when he was at his girls house a drunk driver smashed into it and totaled it while it was parked out front. He had a picture of him pretending to be crying while standing behind it. I loved that car and always wanted to have one some day.
I wonder will the 600R be able to be installed on a base Z or does it have to be a Performance Z?
Yeah I was excited for the new z to come out until dealerships got their hands on them
The z34r would have made more sense to not sound like r34. Its just an extention of the z34. I also dont think calling it a 300z or z would have been going backwards at all. The z31 and z32 were both 300zx's and that never effected the z32 sales. Its a till a new z. Actually dropping the x and just being "300z" would have been pretty cool tbh. I like what they've done with this car though. I wonder if they will specifically only sell aero parts with 600r packaged cars? That could makenthen pretty rare and easy to distinguish from the rest in most cases.
My friend has a mint 300zx fair lady twin turbo that he is going to put on Bring a trailor to get one of these babies
Worst decision of his life
I still have 3 300zxtt...,bout to swap all 3 into 6speed.., all 3 have R34 V-Spec taillights, all 3 have Custom Supra TRD Hood. Thinking about getting the 400z interior dashboard/monitor swap into 300zxtt..,ill keep Z Fans posted
My Nissan hardbody is what got me into nissans. I’m actually taking to these guys pretty soon. They are only a few miles away from me
I can Z the potential of this new car... 😁😇🤟
Im super suprised i havent seen ONE of these new Zs anywhere yet. Not even stock
I've seen quite a few in jersey. One was that prototype yellow or whatever it is. Looked great on the road
Amazing car m8!-)

Those wheels look so good on the new Z
This is the best looking z since the 280
First love this car
I had a 1989 nissan maxima. Then after a 1991 z 2 plus 2. 222 hp. my favorite car of all time.
How much for those wheels??? The look great. Also since I don't have 93 octane available in California, do you have a flash tune that would boost to 400 WHP?
I haven't really seen one yet but I sure like to see one on the road
What is the budget estimate for this upgrade? Long time Z31 owner, Thanks from Chattanooga Tn.
Nobody:
Larry Chen: “Gooottt it!”
With all these go fast engine parts for the brand new car, how does the warranty plays in this regards? What if you have the upgraded turbo installed and something is wrong with the engine, would the dealer honor the warranty with these aftermarket parts or you have to take it all off and put the stock ones back in? If you do that, I'm sure the dealer service tech can tell if these parts has been tampered with?
dealer would never honor that. ever.
Larry Chen so legit
4dsc that 93 maxima is the shit. always loved that gen. i got a q50 myself now replaced the i35 i had. basically a 5.5 gen max. just weighs more
9 speed transmission swap to the Q50/Q60 ?
SHEESHHHHHHHHHHHH
I grew up with a 94 hardbody….i always had a Nissan…they’ve been so good to me!! Why so much hate on Nissan?
Would be interesting to see the finished product and have it compared to a modified manual gr supra. I think the z looks better but ive heard the supra is a better driver car
Supra has a much better platform and weighs a lot less. Z looks awesome and is actually Japanese though
A lightly modified 400z with suspension and tire upgrades ran 1:00 around tsukuba raceway. I think narita dogfight showed it in one of his recent videos about Tsukuba
the z gets itts ass handed by an elantra N, and doesnt come with an LSD standard
the performance edition has an MSRP of just $1k shy of the Supra, and the b58 is just the better moto. Hell you can get a Camaro SS for $47k too
the Z definitely looks better IMO but thats not enough
Supras also cost a helluva lot more. If I'm gonna spend upwards of 60-80 grand, then I'd just gonna get a used
GTR lol.
@@RMS027 nah I think equivalent spec Supra is $5k more tops. That stripper Z doesn't even come with limited slip

Love the 3L V6. It's all time.
Any 4.0L V6 swaps into Z's?
Red Sport Qs have turbo speed sensors
im curious to see if this is like the no sweat easy 600whp of the b58 or if it's 'stock internals' but with the kitchen sink thrown at it aka $$$$$$
Looking forward to the Nismo variant
“Develop in house” lol, come on Larry
Yeah China. Lol
Can you put the pump up the horse power on the 2023 QX60 to about 350 horse? Or can you put the red sport 400 engine in the QX60?
I like the gray/silver one
how much for this upgrade to the 600R
Why are their performances packs not yet available? So turbo kit and tune and +++ all for a single price.
Their site isn’t very user friendly.
Also, the BOVs required are still preorders?
How much did the build cost in total?
Is there a Honda type company comparable to what Z1 Motorsport is for Nissan?
A long time ago it was King Motorsports, I think they still do a lot of Honda work but I haven't heard much from them.
honda sports segment is dead not even one coupe across two brands
Holy fuckkkk i can't wait to send one of these to you guys.

When the 300Z came out, I saw them all over the place. When the 350/370Z came out, I saw them all over the place. But with this most recent Z, it's supposedly been out for a few years now (I guess?) and I've seen a grand total of 1 out on the street. What happened?
Bro, I only saw one in the wild and one at a car show.. i have one being shipped, so I know I'm about to break some necks lol
Hey guys today we are going to the tire shop. Get to spend a lot of money on some new tires. I let my high school kid drive the Z and he did burnouts

In 1996 I rode my bicycle to work as a busboy and saved up my money to buy my first 1983 280ZX with 150,000 miles on it. 3-speed automatic.
They should definitely announce 600R number limits. It would incentivize the slots to fill. Would probably get more orders with a limit then without one.

Now that I discovered you guys. Im contemplating either keeping my g37x sedan or trading up for a Q60/50 or going Lexus to the IS if I can find a tuner for it.
I'd most definitely go Q60 unless you want the sedan. Those red sports are nice. Only thing about that platform is that it has no intercooler system. Unless you're taking it to the track, then it's not a big issue, but if you ever build the car, then you most definitely will want to invest in an intercooler mod. There is a currently known tune for the red sports.
@@RMS027 I'm just kinda iffy with a turbo. I never had a turbo charged car before.
@@krob8823 They're very fun and great at reusing emissions and producing power. You can always expect a great margin of gains from minimal modifications, such as a tune. The only thing about them is that they do run your manifold temps up and thus an intercooler system is imperative for sustaining and maintaining boost. The longer you run under high temps, you risk the ECU cutting power back to protect the engine and delayed response to throttle.
If you go IS your not asking for much power unless your getting a ISF but even that's expensive in itself cause they barely have any aftermarket unless your keeping it na. Go for a Q if u want performance but at the same time just track the limitations before throwing power at it really.
@@krob8823turbo is 10 times better then na. You just have to take care of it a bit more.
