I've got other tattoos and booked in to get my hands tattooed for my birthday but got to say, it's 2021. If I'm getting turned down for a job based on my appearances and not my ability to do the job then I don't wanna work for that business/company!!! My work ethic and ability to do said job is what should be taken into considering. Not what I have on my skin!
I'm in the medical field. With everyone leaving and/or getting fired for no vaxx, and the Rona. I've finally decided to get a hand tattoo, figured my nursing job employer care more for a competent body to fill in the shifts. I show off my forearm sleeve recently done this past year and I've had no problems, so I'm gonna gamble and get one in Feb
me being 19 with both hands covered i can definitely say all the jobs Ive been at dont give af and theres factories you can work making 20 plus a hour so i dont see the point here
I don't think you will have issues with factory work but if you would like to go into management or have a white collar job, you are going to find resistance. Also if the job market it's bad, it will become a bigger factor.
As someone that has their arms, chest and back done but was nervous about my hand, I'd say it was the least painful tattoo I've had tbh. Psyched myself up for nothing 😂😅
Thank you for sharing your experience. I think having the experience of getting heavily tattooed always helps with your tolerance. Thank you for watching.
BigDawgYambo went well bro hurt like hell at the start then about 5-10 mins in i got used to the pain but was still uncomfortable then the shading wasn’t bad, looks sick as It done 💯
Cookie Dawg thanks bro was asking cuz im about to get my first tat , a full left hand tat and letters on the knuckles in two days and i was curious as to how much it hurts , preciate it💪🏾
You know what though.....tattoos are a lot more acceptable in the workplace than they were even 20 years ago 🤔 I have a few friends who are nurses, 1 has a whole sleeve and a lawyer (well, public defender lol) I had had a sleeve too. And I just got one fixed/improved/added to yesterday lol 🥰💯 (shoutout to Nelson my tattoo artist) and the first thing I noticed different than the first time was how much that shit hurt this time around ( but also I took the pain to mean that it was done correctly this time which is why my artist is amazing) the first time when the scabbing stage came as soon as they came off? About 79% of the ink came completely out with them 😡🤔🙄😒 I was so pissed... But what I got yesterday I am 100% happy with 😍🥰 and yes its definitely going in the books as one of my most painful tats its definitely a 7-8 out of ten on the pain scale

The artist told me to prepare for pain, but I would rather describe it as being "annoying" and "uncomfortable". I was especially surprised that I couldnt feel it at all on my knuckles. The only part which hurt a bit, but less than having a blood check at the doctor, was the side of my hand next to the pinky. And its not like I am overly covered and used to it.. I got my hand tattooed, no swelling, no pain. Honestly just felt like lil cat scratchers, no pain afterwards. I l sleep normally, hit my hand everywhere and no pain. Im not sure if its my Pain tolerance or if I was tattoed wrong? But I havent had any problems at all. Its healed really well and I think its great.
I’m so jealous of you haha. My hand is a giant meat glove. Can’t even bend my wrist, and incredibly tender. Pain is temporary though, and my tattoo will always be rad.
It's all bone and tendon but when i got mine done the worst place was actually the muscle between your thumb and index finger with no bone in it at all. It's probably because there's a pressure point there.

Got my hand tattoo like 5 days ago and my hand never swelled up nor did it hurt the only parts that hurt was the shading on the knuckles and my thumb and it’s my first tattoo healing is going by really quick and I never had any swelling it just depends on your person
The only tattoo I take serious is the solo hand tattoo...it isnt a big deal when your body is covered... But the man whose first and only tattoo on his hand gets respect...he meant that shit. I think fully tatted people dont think of Is oversaturation seems to take away from the aura of what a tattoo is and becomes one piece.
This is why I like medium to larger pieces. I have only two smaller tattoos. The rest I had to shell out decent money for because I want the pieces of art to be loud and beautiful.
This is awesome to see after I already got my left hand tattooed lol. I thought I was having issues cuz of the swelling. Good to know that it’s pretty common.
My hand tattoo I got today didn't hurt at all.In fact the piece I went with is big so it had to go onto my fingers. In fact my elbow I got done today as well hurt more. Ribs inner bicep and the huge Slipknot S logo on my left arm were the most painful tattoos I got.
@UrMom666 Troll harder boy. My hand tattoo was one of the least painful ones. I have no patience with boys who don't know a damn thing about tattoos because if you did you'd know each person has different pain tolerance.
It largely depends on your career choice and where you live. I'm sorry but there are a number of jobs you still can't have with hand tattoos. That is slowly changing though.
I hate to say, I loved this video but the pain was so oversold to me, I am not saying it didnt hurt because it did but I was expecting far far worse, I suppose its my own fault for choosing my hand as the first location for a tat but I love it, great video man, I am aware of course pain is subjective but yeah
I have a fully blackout arm with a new piece on my hand, my hand was by far my least painful experience, near the armpit was the f@&cking pain lol! I’ve heard the second time you go over the hand is when it starts to hurt the most… But in my experience over the top of the hand was nothing… Keep in mind I have a pretty high pain tolerance
Getting my hand tattooed in about a month . Heard it hurts but yet again I’ve sat through a 6 hour half sleeve and back to back 3 hour sessions for the other half so not sure what to expect , once I start there’s no backing out that’s how I got through 😂
It’s not as bad as people make it seem, the only spots that really suck are inbetween your thumb and finger on the side of your hand, and the outer side of your hand near your palm, and of course inbetween the fingers
I've been getting tattooed for about 22 years now and I have about 60 hours maybe more and I'm going in for my first hand tattoo. I'm trying to do it before I get too old I'll be 40 this summer
Not really an extreme job stopper anymore like a few other comments say, I work in IT and tbh they dont care what I put on my body as long as im smart enough to do whatever they need me to lol.
i was wondering, because i plan on going into the IT field real soon and i just wanted to know if having tattoos would play a huge factor on the jobs you get
I got my hands and knuckles done and I go lobster fishing full time. Didn’t hurt getting it and wasn’t bad healing... you make it sound a lot worse then it is... also I know plenty of people who have awesome jobs who have hand tattoos, so can’t agree on everything you say
It really depends on the type of employment or career you plan or have. There a number of great jobs that involve labor that having tattoos isn't going to be an issue but many more conservative professions that it will impair you getting hired. Tattoos are increasingly more acceptable and hopefully this will change but the truth is that if you have hand tattoos there are a number if career paths that will be blocked. That should always be considered before getting tattooed.
I work at Amazon and they don’t care about any type of tattoos I wear gloves all day everyday there while I work lifting slightly heavy packagers I think I’ll be okay
C.A.P it can’t be that bad. I’m covered for the exception of my hands and thighs..literally. ive sat for 13hr sessions before, both legs done at the same time. recently a head tattoo there is no way it can be that bad
i got my left hand done, and its actually my first tattoo (hand to forearm) and i was NOT AWARE...OF THE SWELLING...i got so scared.. Day 3 of healing and i cant bend my fingers😅
Getting my hand tatted next month, I have my forearms tatted and getting a bicep sleeve soon, full portrait with full detail. To be honest, I trade stocks and I have a very bright future ahead with my ventures so I don’t think I’m too worried career wise. But I am a little worried about the swelling and pain, I have a high pain threshold but I got a feeling this gonna be another level of pain.
Usually there is a fast recovery and doesn't really last that long. However, it's better to plan ahead and have sometime where you can limit movement and won't be using your hands as much.
My ex is a nurse for a mobile medical company that does on site medical services and covid testing for Netflix, Disney plus, and paramount plus productions. Both hands and all her knuckles are done, as well as a throat tattoo.
Glad I caught this video lol. Debating about getting a hand tat for awhile and I’m all for it I have plenty of tats as of right now. I should be okay job wise but if it’s a problem it should be after it’s pretty much done healing, you think it would be fine to cover up with makeup? I don’t mind the extra 5 min to do it, I’ll probably test it out also on a tattoo just to see how well it covers
You'll have to retouch as any other part (your face probably) during the day but I'll last pretty well. Make sure to use orange concealer (color correction) for the blackest lines. And powder every layer you do. Simple as that. Might not take 5 minutes tho, particularly in the beginning while you get the hang of it.
@@BodyPiercingTattooing I would see it as a place I dont want to work at. I have my license and as far as cosmetology goes, not many people care. The biggest thing is that I may not do this forever. It honestly pisses me off that this is even a conversation in 2021 when I’ve worked circles around countless people who don’t have one tattoo. Your the expert though so I do appreciate the input on the topic
The thing is that it is much better than it once ways. If I've learned anything as I've gotten older, as the older generation dies off, their prejudice views die with them. Still there will always be pockets of the world where it will never be accepted.
There are a few advantages to personal protective gear that goes beyond just not getting sick. You're welcome and I'm happy to hear that you found the video helpful and thank you for watching.
I see a lot of comments on here the pain isn’t bad getting it done but like he said it’s the healing process that’s worse then the actual tattoo I’m medically retired from the army so getting a job really isn’t a issue for me
My company ( I do garage doors said) as long as it’s not discriminating in anyway shape or form it’s your body have at it ( obviously not on the face) or anything we have to have some what of an appropriate appearance
It depends on the type of scar it is but in many cases you can tattoo the are and cover the scar or distract from it to make it less noticeable. Glad to hear that you found it helpful. Thank you for watching.
Getting both hands done today, but I also have 2 full sleeves, I’m unionized & redseal my trade, with 12 years with the same company, I thought about it for a LONG time. I’m amazed at how many comments are teenagers getting their first tattoo on their hands, they all want that “I’m blasted” look without putting in the work. Nowadays it’s hands, neck and face first the rest nobody can see so what’s the point right?
Yeah when I started getting tattooed, you pretty much had to have everything but your genitals tattooed before they would even talk to you about getting a hand tattoo.
And just who do you think will be doing the hiring and managing the business that you will apply to for jobs? Old people!!! Sure you can get a manual labor job, service jobs, and a number of jobs where you work with your hands. If that is the future you want, go head and tattoo your hands. Just dint get angry when you can't get a better job or are passed over for a promotion. The best you can hope for is so many people get their hands tattooed, they can't hirer anyone without hand tattoos. Understand we are not saying don't get your hands tattooed. What we are saying it make an educated decision and understand it can impact your future.
I've heard that tattoos on the top of the foot hurt a lot too. I don't have any there, but thought about getting one. Also the healing, and I work in a job (machinist) where I'm on my feet all day (10 hour shift), and wear work boots. I do have a hand tattoo that I've had since 1997. It's just a small tribal design and a triangle. It's held up very well. (Jan Griffiths).
I have a big tattoo on the top of my foot and I think it hurt the least of all my tats. The worst was the side of my finger because the needle was hitting nerves
Your scaring me already and it’s only 5 seconds into the video. I want to get a tiny tattoo an evil eye 🧿 on the side of my hand it will be my first tattoo I just wanted to know how long does it take for it to actually start fading?
I just got my hand/finger tattooed and it was only swollen for a day in a half and the only day that I wasn't able to use my hand was the same day that I got it done. The day after i could use it just fine.
Thank you. Sorry about the late reply but yes. If you did a something photo realistic on your hand, it would eventually look like a two year old did it with a crayon.
Ok so I’m gonna be honest I don’t think the pain was bad at all. Maybe it’s me just trying to be tough but I thought it was pretty painless. When it got on /close to my knuckles it hurt a bit but otherwise it was super easy
Been wanting hand tattoos for the last 8 years. I am self employed but not on the level where I am confident to blast them. Got one sleeve ready for that tho.
Has anyone ever noticed also, that after years of smoking. The hand hurt less and less the older you get?🤣 Got my right hand done in my early 20s hurt like hell. Then i got my left hand done yesterday at 42 years old. Barely any pain only a couple spots made my eyebrows move🤣.
I think as a long term smoker that you do get used to burns on your hands. Though I do think we loose some sensitivity with age regardless and with more pain experience learn to tolerate it better.
just got a halfsleeve done, im gonna get a neo traditional tiger head with roses connected to it, he said it will take 4-5 hours for the hand.. God its gonna suck but i cant wait lmao
Wearing saniderm over the tattoo for the first five days should protect it until it is healed enough. Ask your artist if the use it and if they can apply it for you.
If you have a career that won't be impacted by having hand tattoos, it shouldn't be an issue. Otherwise you do want to consider and listen to your artist about how detailed the design needs to be to hold up.
i’m 15 but i definitely want my hand tatted in the future (in a few years probably). so i was wondering, is it a good idea to get my first tattoo on my hand? or would it be better to get my first one somewhere else? and if so, what are some good places for first tattoos?
really anywhere you want lol. personally for a first a tattoo, on your hand just by itself seems bizzare to me... i’m 18 and have a half sleeve atm with the plans of a full sleeve being done at a later date. i’m never considering hand tattoos since i’m getting a business degree so consider a hand tattoo in relation to your future career
Maybe not your first, your still young even when your 18, it’s harder to get a job and a career choice will Be harder, so I’d think about the hand, and the pain is pretty high, for a first I would get a tattoo in a less painful place to just see how you feel and see if you even like it
Everyone seems to have spots that are worse than others. Though most say that the neck is worse than the hands. Let us know what your experience is and good luck.
The tattooing part wasn’t bad at all , but i’ve also birthed 3 kids naturally LOL the really shitty thing is i landed myself in the hospital 2 days after with a abscess infection.. not sure how really but my friend went to that same shop 6 days after me and she said he put back on gloves he had taken off in the little trash can to fix her tattoo in a spot .. so shit needless to say i’m all better now after a week of antibiotics & a painful week but my tattoo barely survived unfortunately $300 down the drain :/ the color is gone in spots and it’s super scared in some places where the infection was bad GOOD LUCK & IT WILL BE WORTH IT WHEN IT LOOKS BETTER :)
You can work eith your hands just be careful you don't hit your tattoo an while your working keep it dry then wash and put small bit of aquaphor healing ointment on after you dab it dry 🙌
I'm getting my right hand done in 5 days guys wish me luck (I work in mcdonalds and currently in the middle of getting promoted so deffo gonna need luck lol)
It's more about what is considered extreme than the theme of the tattoo. Of course if it is offensive, even employers that are tolerant of visible tattoos are going to be less likely to hire you.
I’m wanting to get a pretty small tattoo on my hand it’s just a little symbol would that be so bad and it wouldn’t be on my finger so would it fade a lot?
Consider getting tattooed somewhere else. Just contact your artist asap. Don't be that person that shows up at their appointment and completely changes the tattoo at the last minute.
Its not a job stopper, I hate when people say this. Don't get a hand tattoo if you reply on someone else's paycheck, if you're self sufficient you can do whatever you want.
The reality is in many parts of the world and in a number of industries, if given a choice, they will avoid hiring people with visible tattoos. By getting hand tattoos you should always understand that regardless of how tolerant society may seem, that can change and you may be limiting your opportunities in the future.
Does a hand tattoo really ruin ur life? I'm not judging or asking. Great video bro. Bc I'm 18. But to express myself which is basically one of the main ideas of a tattoo, i rly want a top of my hand tattoo. Me i have half a sleeve aka. A 12 hour piece. For my very first tattoo i got that when i was 17. But i want a top hand tattoo with shading and i searched up ways to deal with hand tattoo pains. But alot of good good life supporting jobs don't judge. So does hand tattoo's rly ruin ur chance of a life or how can u deal with the pain easier for a top of the hand tattoo.? Hahaha i know. That's 2 questions. Could u awsner em both brotha? Bc for real I'm looking for a top of my opposite hand tattoo within the next month or 2 max.
Here's what you should consider, you have a lot of skin to cover. Get established in your career first then if a few years from now you still want it, go for it. As more people get tattooed in visible areas the social stigma wil become less and less but like all prejudices, there will be people that simply won't accept you.
Im 18 and I wanna get a hand tattoo but Im kinda thinking about how much can affect me getting a job or a career since some people call them “job stoppers” (if I get it, is going to be my 4th tattoo) so I rlly need an advice
Ok, so, this may be a super dumb question but I'm gonna ask anyway. I have been having dreams for years about actually getting a key hole tattooed in the palm of my left hand. It's my non dominant hand, and being disabled the most work i do is typing on the internet. So i guess my question is, is that tattoo even possible?
The issues is how many skin cells you shed on your palm. Also the tissue is thick and it can make the tattoo seem more faded. Understand that when you see a tattoo you are in fact looking through the layers of skin above the tattoo. The thicker and less transparent the layers the more faded the tattoo will appear.
Lol i'm 22 and getting a hand tattoo, no idea what to expect but regardless i'm determined , personally I dont think I will be bothered about the pain, but I also don't want to sound egotistical either anything could happen ahaha
It’s not a job stopper, my brother is a registered respiratory therapist and worked at Henry ford for years without covering his hand tattoo up, he now does sleep studies and that healthcare facility doesn’t mind his tattoo either, plus they make tattoo cover up. No big deal, and with the Rona now businesses will take ANYBODY. So go get your hand done, I am.
I've got other tattoos and booked in to get my hands tattooed for my birthday but got to say, it's 2021. Fr it's 2021
Amen
True but still thats sadly not how every boss around the world thinks
Well maybe in time. It is a lot more acceptable than it once was.
People are going to have come to terms with the fact that intelligent people want tattoos sometimes too.

I've been getting tattooed for about 22 years now and I have about 60 hours maybe more and I'm going in for my first hand tattoo. I'm trying to do it before I get too old I'll be 40 this summer
Oh there is no such thing as too old. There is differently too young but not too old. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.
Not really an extreme job stopper anymore like a few other comments say, I work in IT and tbh they dont care what I put on my body as long as im smart enough to do whatever they need me to lol.
It really depends ends on the career path and where you live.
i was wondering, because i plan on going into the IT field real soon and i just wanted to know if having tattoos would play a huge factor on the jobs you get
My guess is it really depends on what company is like.
Lol I’ve never had a tattoo and my mom hates them but I want to get a tattoo on my hand I want to get a skeleton hand and plan on being a truck driver
It’s not that bad, I got a full hand and forearm tattoo on my 15th birthday and I wasn’t really affected by it you just gotta take care of it
Thank you for sharing your experience and watching.
Are you still 15? And do you still like it?
Im 16.getting medusa Friday on my hand…. Hope it goes well
Good luck and let us know how it turns out.
im getting one tomorrow but its a traditional samoan one im excited to represent my culture but nervous for the pain
How’s it go?
I work at Amazon and they don’t care about any type of tattoos I wear gloves all day everyday there while I work lifting slightly heavy packagers I think I’ll be okay
thank you for the helpful information. It really made me think as a new artist that I should delay hand tatttoos.
You are welcome and thank you for watching.
I’m getting my first hand tattoo tomorrow and I got another appointment in January. Ima get my whole sleeve tattooed
Good luck and let us know how it turns out.
C.A.P
it can’t be that bad. I’m covered for the exception of my hands and thighs..literally. ive sat for 13hr sessions before, both legs done at the same time. recently a head tattoo there is no way it can be that bad
There are a lot more nerve ends in your hands and not much cushioning. So, you can live through it but it can be a bit rougher than other areas.
i got my left hand done, and its actually my first tattoo (hand to forearm) and i was NOT AWARE...OF THE SWELLING...i got so scared.. Day 3 of healing and i cant bend my fingers😅
I started with my hand
There are some products that do a good job of hiding tattoos but I'm unsure if they would lady a full 8 hour shift. When in doubt ask your employer.
I have hand tattoos & it has only made my life better.
I'm getting one next week and not worried at all cuz I have pretty fat hands
Good luck and let us know how it turns out?
Not really a job stopper these days tbh
Really depends on the job.
I think it depends what it is
Yes context makes a difference, as does location and size. However some jobs and depending on the job market, it's a non-starter.
B4 Cov-19 wearing gloves all the time would've been strange! Thanks for the info
There are a few advantages to personal protective gear that goes beyond just not getting sick. You're welcome and I'm happy to hear that you found the video helpful and thank you for watching.
Where tf have you been getting tattooed? I've never been inked without gloves on
I think they are talking about wearing gloves to cover hand tattoos.
I see a lot of comments on here the pain isn’t bad getting it done but like he said it’s the healing process that’s worse then the actual tattoo I’m medically retired from the army so getting a job really isn’t a issue for me
Thank you for sharing your experience and thank you for watching!
My company ( I do garage doors said) as long as it’s not discriminating in anyway shape or form it’s your body have at it ( obviously not on the face) or anything we have to have some what of an appropriate appearance
It always comes down to the tolerance of the employer, their clients and how good you are at your job.
Well this helped. I work at a place that I use my hands a lot. I was thinking about getting "excelsior" either on my hand or under my previous tattoo
U scared the hell out of me tomorrow morning am going to have my full left hand tattooed
good luck👍🏼 let us know how it goes
Well, all we ask and your artist asks is that you think it through. The tattoo itself is never as bad as your fears.
I have a scar on my hand. I never wanted a tattoo on my hand until i had this scar from a accident. Plus I'm a hairstylist so this was great advice.
It depends on the type of scar it is but in many cases you can tattoo the are and cover the scar or distract from it to make it less noticeable.
Glad to hear that you found it helpful. Thank you for watching.
I did not know about this . Thank you for the video.
You are welcome and thank you for watching.
no tattoo is a job stopper bc a lot don’t give af and you can cover them up w makeup if they do
My hand tattoo was the least painful. My chest piece wrecked me
Thank you for sharing your experience.
When you want really want a tattoo on your arm and hand
Older people say it ruins your job chances but it's not a big deal anymore luckily
Your biggest issue with healing would be the bots. If you can a week or so off, it would best.
It all depends on how close the nerve endings are. Everyone is different. The pain however is usually not nearly as bad as you think it will be.
Your scaring me already and it’s only 5 seconds into the video. I want to get a tiny tattoo an evil eye 🧿 on the side of my hand it will be my first tattoo I just wanted to know how long does it take for it to actually start fading?
It varies from person to person, the design and the style a technique used.
I just got my hand/finger tattooed and it was only swollen for a day in a half and the only day that I wasn't able to use my hand was the same day that I got it done. The day after i could use it just fine.
Congratulations on your new tattoo!!! Thank you for sharing your experience and watching.
Thank you 😊
Great video. Just to clarify- simpler designs on hands will last longer? (Less likely to visibly “blow out”)?
Thank you for sharing your experience and watching.
Been wanting hand tattoos for the last 8 years. I am self employed but not on the level where I am confident to blast them. Got one sleeve ready for that tho.
The key is getting to the place where they just don't matter. That can take a while but I'm sure you will get there.
Though I do think we loose some sensitivity with age regardless and with more pain experience learn to tolerate it better.
my appointment tomorrow for my hand 🥺😭 update wasn't bad just sucked to have my hand in a fist half the time lmaooo
Good luck and let us know how it turns out.
just got a halfsleeve done, im gonna get a neo traditional tiger head with roses connected to it, he said it will take 4-5 hours for the hand.. God its gonna suck but i cant wait lmao
Congratulations on tattoo and good luck with your next project. It never hurts as much as you think. Let us know how it turns out.
@@BodyPiercingTattooing Thanks and yeah i figured, ill let you guys know how it turns out.
Thanks for your advice👍👍👍
You are welcome and thank you for watching.
Getting my hand tattooed tomorrow. 🤘
Had did it turn out?
My finger tattoos are handpoked. No problems with pain or swelling
How durable has it been.
i’m a cashier an i gotta wear gloves that i’m sweating in 2 hours at a time.. is that bad?
Wearing saniderm over the tattoo for the first five days should protect it until it is healed enough. Ask your artist if the use it and if they can apply it for you.
I’m thinking about getting the AEQUITAS and VERITAS on my hands what your opinion
One of the best places for a first tattoo is the upper arm. Usually not yo sensitive and it is easy to conceal.
I recommend the back of the neck
Maybe not your first, your still young even when your 18, it’s harder to get a job and a career choice will Be harder, so I’d think about the hand, and the pain is pretty high, for a first I would get a tattoo in a less painful place to just see how you feel and see if you even like it
@@jurnee9954 16 and just got my hand tatted wish me luck
getting my hand tatted tomorrow .. my artist said it didn’t hurt i got my neck tatted a month ago . i’m so ready for itttt
How it go? I got mine tomorrow on my hand and I’m scared ash🤣
Everyone seems to have spots that are worse than others. Though most say that the neck is worse than the hands. Let us know what your experience is and good luck.
It is never as bad you think it would be. The thing is that it might suck but you will survive it.
The tattooing part wasn’t bad at all , but i’ve also birthed 3 kids naturally LOL
the really shitty thing is i landed myself in the hospital 2 days after with a abscess infection.. not sure how really but my friend went to that same shop 6 days after me and she said he put back on gloves he had taken off in the little trash can to fix her tattoo in a spot .. so shit
needless to say i’m all better now after a week of antibiotics & a painful week
but my tattoo barely survived unfortunately $300 down the drain :/ the color is gone in spots and it’s super scared in some places where the infection was bad
GOOD LUCK
& IT WILL BE WORTH IT WHEN IT LOOKS BETTER :)
@@MomOfMinions holy crap, hope you are fine
You can work eith your hands just be careful you don't hit your tattoo an while your working keep it dry then wash and put small bit of aquaphor healing ointment on after you dab it dry 🙌
Would you say numbing cream would help part of it?, I’m getting my hand tatted next tuesday
I got both my hands tatted and I'm 17 do wtf you wanna do just make sure it's what you want ps I got a job
exactly
It's not that bad. I absolutely love mine, no real swelling.
Thank you for sharing your experience and watching.
I'm getting my right hand done in 5 days guys wish me luck (I work in mcdonalds and currently in the middle of getting promoted so deffo gonna need luck lol)
would it be a job stopper if the tattoo were wholesome/nice?
Id assume if theres a job that doesnt allow hand tattoos then yes
It's more about what is considered extreme than the theme of the tattoo. Of course if it is offensive, even employers that are tolerant of visible tattoos are going to be less likely to hire you.
Thank you so much for this video !
You are welcome and thank you for watching.
I’m wanting to get a pretty small tattoo on my hand it’s just a little symbol would that be so bad and it wouldn’t be on my finger so would it fade a lot?
yes they can fade and it's best to stick with symbols with less detail.
Watching this is me making me regret that appointment I have coming up. I’m thinking I’m just going to cancel
Dont cancel it if u really like it bro
Consider getting tattooed somewhere else. Just contact your artist asap. Don't be that person that shows up at their appointment and completely changes the tattoo at the last minute.
Stop cause i have one on the 26th-
@@BodyPiercingTattooing im in the same situation, and probably i will change the location of the tattoo
@@BodyPiercingTattooing called making an independent income....
To me it didn’t hurt but the peeling process took about 2 weeks

I’m a barber and I took off a week due to my fear of my hands getting infected
Better safe than deal with an infection and I'm sure that it made the healing easier.
@@BodyPiercingTattooing well sadly bills forced me to go in but I wear gloves with some moisturizer underneath. Think I’ll be okay?
What ever you do, don’t hide your hands when going to work for the first time with your hands tatted, it’s a part of you for life now, so do you.
Honestly. I got my hand tattooed 3 days ago and my hand isn’t at all swollen anymore. I’d say maybe 15 minutes out of the hour and 45 actually hurt.
Im 18 and I wanna get a hand tattoo but Im kinda thinking about how much can affect me getting a job or a career since some people call them “job stoppers” (if I get it, is going to be my 4th tattoo) so I rlly need an advice
There will be plenty of time and it sounds like you have a lot of space. Give it time establish a career and then consider it.
I just want a hand tattoo with “anti” on it is that gon hurt ??
Yes but not as bad as you think it will be.
He forgot to mention the dangerously copious amounts of strange that you’ll have to fend off with a stick.
True that
Dope.
Ok, so, this may be a super dumb question but I'm gonna ask anyway. I have been having dreams for years about actually getting a key hole tattooed in the palm of my left hand. It's my non dominant hand, and being disabled the most work i do is typing on the internet. So i guess my question is, is that tattoo even possible?
yes you can get your palm done up but it will fade ridiculously quick. look up online palm tattoos and make a decision for yourself.
I’ve been wanting to get one but, do they fade away faster than any other tattoos?
Yes, the do tend to fade easier and you should consider that when deciding on a design.
I am a huge Godsmack fan I just got a hand tattoo of the celtic sun mine didn't hurt that bad... But the aftercare is a bitch.
Thank you for sharing your experience and watching.
@@BodyPiercingTattooing I would love to get tattooed by you guys!! Can't get enough of them!!
What about numbing cream?
Lol i'm 22 and getting a hand tattoo, no idea what to expect but regardless i'm determined , personally I dont think I will be bothered about the pain, but I also don't want to sound egotistical either anything could happen ahaha
I’m getting mine done in less than 12 hours
It’s not a job stopper, my brother is a registered respiratory therapist and worked at Henry ford for years without covering his hand tattoo up, he now does sleep studies and that healthcare facility doesn’t mind his tattoo either, plus they make tattoo cover up. No big deal, and with the Rona now businesses will take ANYBODY. So go get your hand done, I am.
Well that isn't always the case and I'm guessing that the tattoos weren't done until after he was established in the job.
@@BodyPiercingTattooing no tattoo was done before he got the job, even in his clinicals
