    The tip about getting the tattoo below the crease line is a good one and one that I hadn't thought of. I would have wanted my tattoo higher than that and not thought about the creasing over time.

    It’s a tricky area to tattoo no doubt. If you do decide to have a wrist tattoo done make sure the artist has done many in that area

    I was thinking about getting a sound wave of a youtuber saying "I love you" tattooed, since he recently passed away from cancer, this video helped a lot! The crease line wasn't even on my mind before, so thanks for pointing that out! :)

    I’ve been getting my sleeve done over the past 6 months and yesterday was finally the part where my wrist was tattooed. HOLY CRAP was it painful! That spot between your wrist/bottom of your palm was the absolute worst spot I’ve had done yet

    I'm getting my mom's favorite yellow carnation flower on my wrist / hand area in color 💛 she passed Christmas eve 2019 and music notes behind my right ear then a small space tattoo behind the left but to show off a tiny bit can't wait so excited

    So I've never had a tattoo, but in the past year have a 5 inch wrist scar from surgery on my right wrist. I'm thinking of getting a tattoo on my left wrist to match the scar on my right...but questioning if this is insane? ha

      A tattoo will not go that deep. However, there might be some short term bruising.

    My first tattoo was a wrist tattoo on the side and I didn’t feel much pain not sure if I just have a higher pain tolerance but it wasn’t uncomfortable

    I got my kids names tattooed on my right wrist over 20 years ago,wrist tattoos weren’t that common then,why are they so common now?

      Simply the popularity of tattooing. Think back to how rare it was to see people with tattoo sleeves and how common they are now.

    I am getting a tattoo under the creases. It’a going to say “Be still.” And have a cross under it. I’m getting it to comfort me during panic attacks and tough times. Also it reminds me of a song that reminds me of my uncle and it reminds me of God. The ink is black btw. If I wear long sleeves all the time will my tattoo fade?

      It really depends on the roughness of the shirt but chances are it won't be an issue if the tattoo is done and healed well.

      Traditionally it should appear upright when you arm is hanging down.

    Hey,I want to get my mother’s name on my wrist but I don’t really know if I should put it facing me or in the other direction.Also can a wrist tattoo affect job applications negatively?

      Traditionally they are placed so they can be read when the arm is down. However it is your body and your tattoo. If you want it facing you, no reason not to.
      Wurst don't really impact employment that much it really depends on the type of work and how conservative your part if the world is. Also if you are worried, place the tattoo so that it can be easily covered.

    I'd like to get a portrait of my dog surrounded by flowers. How small can I go without losing detail? It would be her face and a front leg surrounded by flowers.

      Depending on the size of your leg, a soft ball size or larger, should give you a great deal of detail.

      I wouldn't suggest wearing it during the healing. After the tattoo is healed, the continuous rubbing can possibly damage the tattoo. However, it all depends on the design and how much contact the watch has.

    I would love to share with you what I'm getting done. My first tattoo and the date is next saturday a small tattoo with a word saying F A M I L Y . BUT THE L has a anchor ⚓ meaning family is strong and always together. X this is going on my left inner wrist. And I'm very nervous and excited.

      @@BodyPiercingTattooing Its Saturday 4 January 2020 and ive just got my tattoo done, the pain wasn't bad at all. Felt like lots of cat scratches and i would rate it at 6 or 7 out of 10. But I absolutely love it.

    I have a question, I would be happy if you answered!
    I'm a pretty skinny guy and my tendon stick on the wrist is huge. If I move my wrist it becomes really visible.
    I'm worried if ir will affect how my tattoo will look. What's your experience with that?

      It shouldn't be an issue. I would suggest that you discuss this with your artist during your consultation.

    Thanks for this video.
    Tomorrow I am getting a bigger wrist tattoo. A peony and a rose and some breaclet chains on the top of my wrist. The chains will go up my hand. And the leaves of the rose Wil wrap around my wrist.
    I understand about the fading underneath. There will be noting there. But I understand that on top of the wrist the fading is not so bad right?
    I don't wear juwelery. Never liked washes and bracelets. Not good for my work either.

      I always suggest starting in an area that is less visible but you should be fine. It really depends on the piece. If it simple, more than likely it won't be too bad.

      You should discuss this with your artist beforehand and have them design the tattoo to reduce it or pick a different design.

Just wanted to know if getting tattooed on the little ball bone that’s on top of your outer wrist hurts to get tattooed?

      Everyone is different and one thing I can say for sure the pain is temporary and the tattoo lasts for the rest of your life.

    My first tattoo is gonna be a bar code on my right wrist, no watch or jewelry, but I'm a nurse and we clean our hands constantly, do you think It'll be a problem?

      During the healing it might be an issues but after that it shouldn't. I would suggest mentioning it to your artist when placing the tattoo.

    Idk if you will reply to this comment since this video is kinda old but i was wondering if wrist tattoos will stretch over time as you grow because i want to get my parents names on the sides of my wrist but i dont want it to be all stretched out as i get older

      Not nearly as much as you would think. It really depends on the design and placement. When you go in for your consultation, mention your concerns.

      I don't think you will find the pain that uncomfortable. The issues would be tattooing over the scars and fitting the design to the area.

      The sensation is different. Also it is often the amount of time and the design that makes the biggest difference.

    Hi! I'm planning on getting a tiny (0.7x0.7cm; black) crescent moon tattoo on the side of my wrist. The creases where I plan on having it done aren't that prominent. However, do you think it would still be "safer" to have it placed below the creases?

      It is more about how the tattoo will look, Though with some it can greatly effect the healing. Discuss this with your artist because nothing replaces a consultation face to face with a tattoo artist.

    Hey i have got a question, i want a infinity sign in my wrist but with my job i need the tattoo te be covered. Would it still look good if it is a bit further from my wrist or would it look woerd. It would mean a lot if i get a reaction☺️

    I'm thinking about getting angel wings for my 18th, do u think that they're going to be too detailed and easy to ware out due to the amount of detail? And plus if the tattoo is coloured would that affect how long it can last without waring or stretching in future?

      It really depends on the size. The bigger tattoo the longer it will take. However, the tattoo can be done in stages. Plan it out with your artist. Color will not fade any faster.

    Hmm not true I have a rose tattoo on both sides of my wrists and pass my cease line they are still very bright red and detailed the only difference I do see is that it's a tad bit more faded then all my other roses on my arm.. my other roses are bright bloody dark red and my wrist is a pink brightish red now...but still very detailed

    hi! im thinking of getting the syllables




    tattooed on the side of my wrist vertically like that ^ and i was wondering if it could be too detailed? (i was thinking 3cm for size/length) and im also not sure whether to place it higher up where my watch often is as well (so it's possible to cover it like that) or to place it a bit lower to avoid the watch rubbing off on it. do you have any estimates of how fast the tattoo could wear off if the watch is on it sometimes?

      It's why the guys suggest that the client rotate and moves their wrist and arm when they are looking at the stencil.

    What do u think about a square with the breaking Benjamin logo in it on the wrist? Do u think that would be ok

      It should work. I had to search for it and you are talking about the cross right?
      Basically if that case it is a Celtic knot design. The biggest issue is how wide your wrist is. You want the design large enough to allow space between the lines and flat enough that you can see the whole design without having to twist your arm.

      Pretty well if the placement is right to avoid wear. Slight above the watch line.
