Hi Silvarret! I'm one of your subscribers from Thailand. I'm not really sure how other Thai people discover your channel, but for me, I found your videos from RUclips's recommendation. Thanks for this beautiful elephant exhibit. Always fantastic job!
First of all, You’ve done so well! Nothing can stop you now 😂 In classic Thai architecture, The main building of your elephant exhibition is call Kutakan (กุฎาคาร). The building with the pointed dome (steeple prangs - ยอดปรางค์ or Kherung-Yod เครื่องยอด) on the top of the roof (the element at 28:23 ). For the example, The Royal Pantheon in the Temple of the Emerald Buddha in the Grand Palace.
At first, I was very impressed by your afford of making Thai style roof by customizing piece by piece. But when all works were done and you start to decorate the area, I start to amazing how can you bring me back to Chiangmai zoo. LOL, YOU have NAILED IT!
I have an issue on game: Whenever I build my most elaborate and coolest loking habitats = Almost none guests visit them!? :/ There should be a slider on each habitat with what you can select have many visitors it atracts?
Actually after I was HRK's videos about planet coaster, he made me wanted to find some great buildings. Finally I found you. Thanks for making such a wicked zoo and amusement park!
I find something really sweet in the fact that when presented with a new viewer demographic, you're like, "Welcome, love your architecture, watch me recreate it with as many pieces as possible"! When you actually get around to building a full zoo, or even something comparable in size to say Jägerhorn, maybe pick a theme that will let you just use in game roofs :P
I've been watch your planet zoo series for a while and i really impressed by your creativity and respect for culture and animals thanks for doing Thai.
The C’s in Cincinnati are soft C’s so they make an S like sound. Love the amazing work you do in both Planet Coaster and Planet Zoo, it’s very inspiring to an architecture buff like me.
@@Silvarret I like your way better. Very Italian. :D (especially since it ends in an Italian i--which English words should not, in general. Like "spaghetti").

Soccer, likewise, is actually an abbreviation for As[soc]iation Football (and in the UK how dare you call it Soccer!) ;) Celtic is actually a Greek rooted word and really should be spelled with a K because we stole it from "Keltoi" (Latinised Greek)--but in Irish, see the C IS said a a K before those vowels (ie, the word is not an "English' word). eg: The name we see spelled "Ciara" is actually pronunced "Keera" in Modern Irish. I'm from Thailand, knew you from #HRK in twitter and Thai fans really admire your work. I like how you research Thai architecture and at first I thought that makes from Thai people. That's very awesome.
As others have mentioned, It's pronounced "Sin-Sin-atti", but you're right. Our zoo's elephant enclosure is one of the better and more immersive elephant habitats anywhere. That said, this one is beautiful, and I would love to visit. Great work, Silv!

Everything has been going really nicely for all these communities that I've never thought they would coexist in the same line. Life is interesting.
I’m not thai but I live in Thailand , this looks absolutely amazing, just one interesting fact that you might have missed through research is that traditional Thai architecture typically has slanting walls or in this case pillars. They usually slant slightly onwards towards the top
Yay!! Indian Elephants/Asian Elephants in general are my favourite animals! Everyone kind of defaults to the African Elephants in their zoos. I don't think I've seen a single Indian Elephant exhibit yet? It's gorgeous! Also I agree about the waterfalls being very oversaturated in youtuber exhibits lol. But here I think it really fits? Large exhibits like this kind of lend themselves to having waterfalls way more than an exhibit for say Bison or Pronghorn which live in super flat lands. It just kinda makes sense here!
I had a hunch that you would make this. And you did, with a magnificent result! The silhouette and the colour are spot-on. Great work on research as always. I really appreciate it. The spire you were building around 28:55 is called 'Prang' (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prang_(architecture)). It can be a whole structure like a pagoda, or be on top of the roof of a structure as well.

I'm not an architecture and I'm not sure my search is correct but I did try some google. What you've said about Chor-Fah is right but only the most top part. There are also Haang-Hong (Swan Tail) at both ends of the isosceles which is similar to Chor-Fah but they call in a different name. The wooden piece that connect Chor-Fah and Haang Hong is called Bai-Ra-Ga. And what you've ask about the round spire, this is from my understanding (Thai architecture, if you're here correct me if I'm wrong) if the spire isa big dedicate one, They will call Chay-Dee (Pagoda) which is a round one or another similar to what you've build with some small corner overlap each other is Phra-Prang or Prang.
Amazing new build, Another fantastic video. Maybe a challenge for next time: An full exhibit rainforest themed building? Also share the stuff and facilities with us so we can use them in our zoo's or improve them perhaps (challenge us)

Wow, it's amazing to hear the name "HRK" from your channel LOL by the way, I really love your works!! You created such beautiful and amazing buildings in this game, and that makes me wonder maybe you're an architect.
Amazing job. I love watching your videos cause of the research you actually do, and I'm sure your new Thai viewers really appreciate it too. I mostly only watched your Parkitect stuff, but Planet Zoo looks next level. 🤩
A round spiral shape on the top of the roof in thai architecture is called "Yord Chartra" (ยอด ฉัตร) I don't know what is a specific name of it in English so if you want to see a reference i recommend you to search it with thai word. As an Thai Architecture student i'm impressed with your work. The structure are accurate to real temple.Frist time i see the video i thought that you're thai.Lol
Hello from Thailand, I've been a subscriber ever since City Skylines. Didn't know about the tweets you mentioned, but really enjoyed this build though, I think you've done well using just the in-game pieces. Love your work! :)
The top spire on the roof is called "เครื่องยอด" (kreung-yod). Basically translated to "top ornament" . It usually a part of the important building such as the on that carried buddha statue or the one inside Royal palace. There is one specific type of เครื่องยอด that usually associated with the royal family! There was one beautiful small pavillion at Lausanne which is the place where his majesty late king RamaIX live as a child. That angled top spire style was Royal palace style. The rounded one you use is the style inspire from another type of architecture called "เจดีย์" (Che-di) (simply a Pagoda). More specifically เจดีย์ทรงระฆัง (bell shaped pagoda). Anyway, very nice habitat here! As a traditional Thai architecture student and a thais myself I'm really impressed with your build! Thai traditional building is really hard to create even in the proper 3d modeling program (that slightly curved roof and heavily detailed ornament was nightmare). So I think what you have accomplish in the game with very limited piece is truly amazing! Keep up the good work!
If you want more reference pic from different type of thai architecture or just interested, I recomended this site www.thai-architecture.com/wwproj.html It was the collection of the work of dr.Pinyo, one of famous treditional thai architecture. The site was nicely translated in English and have a decent detailed image of some ornamented feature of Thai architectural work. Catagirized nicely in different building type too!
Thanks for the info! Judging from the significant cultural meaning of the rounded spire, it was a bit a culturally insensitive to add it to a zoo decoration of all things. But it's a beautiful building element, sometimes I think that's what counts. Thanks for the link, will have to save that in case I ever revisit the theme :)
@@Silvarret Yeah...it can be considered as insensitive (many Thai resort that use architectural element from Thai temple face some kind of controversial too.) But I think most of us don't mind much. You didn't disrespect the architecture, and did a decent amout of reserch. I think most of us were glad that there was a foreigner interested in our culture ;)
So, now I've read almost every one of the 343 comments. I am sincerely happy for you that your works are now being discovered in a completely different part of our one world. This can be seen as something much bigger than "just" the interaction related to a computer game.

Good job 😊
I don’t even know what to say. I’ve subscribed and watched your channel for some period, never thought one day i’d see Thai building on your channel. Woahhh. I gotta say, there isn’t much chance for me to see people from other countries build something related to our country in these kinds of games. I can tell that you put so much efforts in researching Thai architecture. That alone makes me feel very appreciated. And you did them on point! This looks so gorgeous. You’re so talented. I feel so accomplished by just watching XD. I’m also really appreciated that you did take your subscriber into consideration, that’s so sweet. As I said about the style, I think you got them on point considering the item provided by the game (again, just WOW). I think most of us would be fascinated by your works. I wish there’s no one come here trolling or being unreasonable to you. (And if that happens, I might apologize you in advance TT) Thanks again! Will look forward to your next videos.
Here is a little idea I'm working for a new habitat for the Taiwan bear. I use stage ricery witch a typical of vietnam but also much common in taiwan to make natural separation between habitat (has I said before, I try to make multiple habitat for the same animal for breeding). The ricery is topped by a Tainan inspired Temple for viewer with a big terasse and the staff building (also Tainan inspired but smaller) is at the crossing of the 3 habitat. Staircaise is build nicely to permit staff to acces the base ground of the ricery witch is provided by a forest on the side. Under the temple you have a big cave for the animal witch can be acces by the viewer temple. Don't know how to provide the picture but anyway, I though it would be an original habitat for you to work on. You'll see that ricery has to be quite deep to set water inside it. The trick is to fill it just under the water with the plant ground (paillaige in french). use smaller plant to play the role of rice. What is interresting is that these plant will make natural separation between habitat ;) Have fun !
Hello Silvarret I'm so amazed that you build something like this!! it's so amazing. Ohh and I'm a Thai + due to the spiky thing that you want to know I'm not quite sure what it exactly call but here the name that if you search it might help you. ยอดมณฑป(Yod-mon-dop), เจดีย์ (Jay-di), ทรงจอมแห(Thrng-jom-heir)
So amazing! It's so similar to the real temple I see everyday and as I'm Thai, I could tell that this is really perfect. The elephants, vibe and environment are super Thai. It's also makes me miss the time when I was young that I played with the elephants so much 💓💓
You have some really good creative skills. If I have a game that has so much creative potential like this I usually have no inspiration and end up sitting and staring at the screen for a while.
Gorgeous. Every new type of architecture you introduce is equally as stunning as the last. You work magic with those tiny pieces, I swear! Your pronunciation of Cincinnati was hilarious too. ;) Would love to see you make something for some more primates!

Btw, love your work! It's so refreshing to see Thai style building in this game or even in youtube channel in general
Immer wieder faszinierend was du aus den Spielen herauskitzelst. Tolle Arbeit!
I am Thai. It's very nice. Thank you for your creativity 🇹🇭
Silv: "hello you"
Me: Geekism?
Wow, it's amazing to hear the name "HRK" from your channel LOL by the way, I really love your works!! You created such beautiful and amazing buildings in this game, and that makes me wonder maybe you're an architect.
I could tell you did a looot of research on thai architecture. I’m Thai and I think your build is very impressive!
THIS IS REALLY REALLY BEAUTIFUL!!!! I LOVE IT! your works are freaking masterpiece. and thanks you so much for represent our thai architecture!
Amazing job. I love watching your videos cause of the research you actually do, and I'm sure your new Thai viewers really appreciate it too. I mostly only watched your
Parkitect stuff, but Planet Zoo looks next level. 🤩
A round spiral shape on the top of the roof in thai architecture is called "Yord Chartra" (ยอด ฉัตร)
I don't know what is a specific name of it in English so if you want to see a reference i recommend you to search it with thai word.
As an Thai Architecture student i'm impressed with your work. The structure are accurate to real temple.Frist time i see the video i thought that you're thai.Lol
I’m Thai. I’ve never watched thai gamers played planet zoo and built like this!! U ARE THE BEST
As a Thai, I must say that you've nailed it!
Dank u voor deze prachtige bouw u laat heel goed zien wat er mogelijk is met de stukken beschikbaar zeer vermakelijk
What a beautifully themed habitat! Congratulations!
This is truly amazing. You did such a good job.
If you want more reference pic from different type of thai architecture or just interested, I recomended this site
www.thai-architecture.com/wwproj.html
It was the collection of the work of dr.Pinyo, one of famous treditional thai architecture.
Hi! Silvarret , I'm from Thailand.
Your buildings is so amazing and beautiful. I love it.
So, now I've read almost every one of the 343 comments. I am sincerely happy for you that your works are now being discovered in a completely different part of our one world. This can be seen as something much bigger than "just" the interaction related to a computer game.
I can't believe you read all those comments haha. But yeah, I'm super happy with how the reception of this video has been! The Thai comments have been so nice :)
@@Silvarret Almost all of them, almost, because unfortunately I can't read Tai.
omg This is so AMAZING ! make me think of Thailand in ancient times. I love your buildings so much
This is awesome!
Look how detail you made with all material in the game, creative!
I really love and enjoy your video, thank for made my day 😊.
This is so awesome! I've been loving your Planet Zoo builds and even though I'm not Thai, I was so surprised to hear you mention the Thai Temple from Olbrich Botanical Gardens because I'm from the Madison, Wisconsin area!! It is one of the prettiest gardens to walk through and the temple always takes my breath away to see. I always appreciate how attentive you are with your builds and how informational your videos are. Good job 😊
this’s so stunning, Thanks you so much Have a good days. from 🇹🇭
I've been eagerly awaiting these uploads since Zoo Planet has come out. Keep it up man :)
(And if that happens, I might apologize you in advance TT)
Thanks again! Will look forward to your next videos.
Thank you! I've actually been really blessed by all the people commenting from Thailand, the comments are all so friendly :)
Silvarret i’m very glad to hear that! Keep up your great works :D
I’m Thai and this is amazing
I’ve been waiting for this! Beautiful!
Your builds are always awesome and inspiring! So great to hear that its reaching further demographics!
What is interresting is that these plant will make natural separation between habitat ;)
Have fun !
Yep we're watching you
Your builds are great
Love from Thailand 🇹🇭 ❤️
You're amazing!!!👍🏻👍🏻 it's so beautiful.❤️
Love from Thailand☺️🇹🇭🇹🇭
I'm from Thailand and I love this so much .thank you :D
Hello
Silvarret I'm so amazed that you build something like this!! it's so amazing.
Ohh and I'm a Thai + due to the spiky thing that you want to know I'm not quite sure what it exactly call
but here the name that if you search it might help you.
ยอดมณฑป(Yod-mon-dop), เจดีย์ (Jay-di), ทรงจอมแห(Thrng-jom-heir)
So amazing! It's so similar to the real temple I see everyday and as I'm Thai, I could tell that this is really perfect. The elephants, vibe and environment are super Thai. It's also makes me miss the time when I was young that I played with the elephants so much 💓💓
Your builds are so inspiring! I don’t have Planet Zoo now but I’m looking forward to getting it! I can’t wait to get my hands on it!
Thx silvarret
I'm from 🇹🇭
You make a very beautiful Thailand's temple😍
I'm from Thai and I love this video it's fantastic!!!
Admit it, this is no doubt inspired by the elephant exhibit in Leipzig Zoo! It look's so similar! Great job, as always! :)
I've never seen that exhibit, I swear!
Hey that's so excellent! you really did a great job on the details of Chada and Ganok around the gable. It would be so difficult to build them with limited tools. I love it.. I mean we love it anyway. It looks fantastic!
Silv complaining about having to make stuff himself, like he doesn't always do that.
I'm Thai. And I gonna say your buildings are amezing. Finally someone know the differences of Asian culture. //Subscribe immediately.
