As a wheelchair user myself it really warms my heart to be included, ramps and elevators seem to be something people just forget about when building cities or zoos or theme parks. And as a quiet lurker so far: I really love your videos, they’re super entertaining and your builds always come out spectacular.
Honestly, your one-off builds tend to be some of my favorite. Also, I have an idea for you. What about gathering some of your fellow Planet Zoo creators, coming up with a prompt (i.e. theme, type of building, animal habitat, etc.), a time limit (i.e. X-hours), and each person set off to building their own interpretation of the prompt (think something similar to the many time restricted challenges on the Food Network for example). Then, once the allotted time has passed, get back together and share your one-off creations with one another for appraisal.
I always appreciate your thoughtfulness in your builds whether it’s the history of the architecture (and inclusion of colonialism) or making things accessible. Super awesome!
There are many creators who build amazing things in planet zoo, but only you can both entertain us as well as educate us! I love your standalone builds!
You are definitely the best at using pieces and theming to create you vision, so I'm glad you stuck to that instead of going for the recommended theme! You mentioned a couple of different architectural influences on the Swahili buildings in this video, which makes lot of sense because the language is an amalgamation of many others that came together due to trade in the region. Authentic, detail-oriented, and beautiful as always!!
My favorite videos always start with silv saying that he’s not gonna do what everyone else is and just follow what he’s interested in at that moment, it makes them so much more fun to watch cause you know it’s not some person pumping out content but it’s someone making things for the love of it
“Let’s get it over with” - you need to work on your self-marketing, Silv ;-) Beautiful work, as always. No matter what architecture style you’re trying, you nail it.
Such a beautiful build and such a beautiful architecture style! It was really amazing seeing how you created this little city from scraps. Coming right from the Koali half episode, I’m kind of praying for your computer to not just burst in flames haha. Keep up the great work!
I wan to believe that the facades also double (secretly!) as a mansion for the lions. Like, there's settees and lounging chairs with ottomans, all lion sized of course, and valets that bring smoked meat and the like for the lions.
I haven't seen one of your videos in a long time, flashback to the RCT community from like 5 years ago ahaha (I miss ShyGuysWorld and RCTGo). Still love how you're cranking out new content, I enjoyed the video
Once again great design and building from Silv. The architecture is very spot on. Simple but very effective and the details just on the right place, which works very well for this theme. Tho I've to say at the front part, you could have tried to add a little bit more detail and contrast. I know the architecture you aimed for is quite simple, but slightly more color difference between the different blocks could have worked better. And especially the high tower draws a lot of attention since it is the highest point, but the upper part is slightly too simple in my opinion. There is the point where a little roofedge with a different tone could have improved the view and makes it look less blocky as could be seen with other roofedges around that tower. That said, the thing that impress me more about this habitat is the landscape design from a park-feeling perspective. I'm talking about thinks like how you make the path blend around the buildings, how you created that round balcony in front of the restaurant with a stone foundation, coming out of the rocks, and how the edge of the path with a fence goes into that rock with the foliage in between. For me, the little things like that make or break the feeling of the area, and you are doing everything absolutely right with that, giving this area a very nice park feeling.
That's Habitat for the King of the Animals!!!🦁👑😉👍 When have this game, i did habitat for African Lions so Big like Africa Savanna & I call Lion Roar!!!
Hi Silvarret, I just watched the video and I admire your beautiful building skills🤩 Are you going to upload this on Steam too? If so .... under what name? Greetings, Rick
@silvarret How did you become so good at these games, you make things I can only dream of making, and it looks like you do it like its no big deal. I have played roller coaster tycoons, as well as really and management game available, But I feel like Emmet in the "Lego Movie' compared to you. I'd love to make things just like you, but when i start a new park, I start a project, and then just quit it because I look at stuff like your buildings, and it makes mine look like something a baby made. What I'm trying to say is i dont think i have the patience to create things like you, Nor do i know where to start, but I want to have the patience and actually create stuff I'm proud of. So how long does it take for a park usually, and how did you become so good lol
Sorry if this gets asked a lot, but what is your process before you start recording? Do you have the finished building mapped out in drawings or in your head? You consistently create beautiful buildings, and despite studying architecture for four years, any time I try to build on the fly, it ends up confused and ugly.
Usually I ' sketch' by doing a simple mass study using blank wall pieces to experiment with the composition of the building - but detailing etc. I do on the fly!
I started following you years ago and it's absolutely incredible how your creations are still so great! at 11:30 you name a project from planet coaster, could you write me the creators or link the project? (I'm from Barcelona and my english is not good at all so I haven't understood that part). Thank u!
Silvarret, as you said, your PC specs are low for big Zoos... Have a look to "NVIDIA Geforce Now"... You can play on a "killing PC"... I can run Planet Zoo at full on a poor old laptop without problems... Think about it !
I love how he sets out to make a lion habitat and builds a city for 23 minutes

Thank you! :) I see it as a fun extra challenge to build for everyone.

That's a really cool idea! Will think about it :)
If it doesn’t end up being the Mike Sheets-show I’m all for it 😂
I am still confused you actually prepared something! I love it

Wow, this is amazing, i just love al those layers in that building. it ads so much dept
Yay for Swahili architecture. Another important building material in this architecture is coral stone
Dude...this is just so inspiring! The fact that you take the time to research different cultures and architectural designs is just amazing.
“Let’s get it over with” - you need to work on your self-marketing, Silv ;-) Beautiful work, as always. No matter what architecture style you’re trying, you nail it.
Oh this is such a beautiful style of architecture! 😃❤️ this video really makes me want to try making a Swahili building. Thank you Silv 🥰

I believe you’re the best when it comes to architecture. I LOVE YOUR BUILDS!
I had grown a little bored of PZ, but just like that *snap*, Silv inspires me to get back to building. Amazing creations!

Beautiful!!
Do you have a steam workshop?
Looking awsome!
You're just incredible. :O
We need to get Silv some patreons or a subscribestar so we can get him a new PC to play these games without a problem.
Would be cool if you would just make a village. Has nothing to do with Planet Zoo, but would look so awesome. Nice build
Hi Silvarret, I just watched the video and I admire your beautiful building skills🤩 Are you going to upload this on Steam too? If so .... under what name? Greetings, Rick

GORGEOUS, SILV!!! 🥰
Thank you Rycie :D
The buildings needed lights on them at night!
