    WHAT IS THE ATHEIST EXPERIENCE?
The Atheist Experience is a weekly call-in television show in Austin, Texas geared at a non-atheist audience. The Atheist Experience is produced by the Atheist Community of Austin.
The Atheist Community of Austin is organized as a nonprofit educational corporation to develop and support the atheist community, to provide opportunities for socializing and friendship, to promote secular viewpoints, to encourage positive atheist culture, to defend the first amendment principle of state-church separation, to oppose discrimination against atheists and to work with other organizations in pursuit of common goals.
We define atheism as the lack of belief in gods. This definition also encompasses what most people call agnosticism.

KingJustice98 perhaps I can expand. Atheism is merely the lack of a belief in god. Not morality. It has never been demonstrated, to my satisfaction, that god is required for morality to exist. God isn’t even required for slavery to be considered moral, but it certainly seems to be the best way to make the argument. Slavery is moral because god says so? I’m not convinced your god is real and am, therefore, not convinced slavery is moral. In fact, I find it to be immoral, so I’m inclined to believe your god is not moral.

However, I was brought up Anglican by believing parents, and I remember our local vicar, Ben Aylott, would often visit. I remember my dad touching theodicy (the problem of evil), and the incompatibility of condemning children in countries who had never heard of Christianity to Hell with a loving god. Lee believed. The dominant religion of the South (Christianity) tells them that it's okay, and they try to use that to justify it. It's why your hear southern Christian Republicans try SO HARD to claim that biblical slavery wasn't slavery as the US knew it, because then they can bring it back just by claiming they're practicing the "kinder, gentler" slavery of the Bible.

Both creator and random event are faith in a world view. Each has a burden of proof.
Why not just trust a person on their sincere reasons for belief and learn from them to defend your position better then, if things change, it was your own journey that gave you your understanding of truth, and actually respect others’ evidence, give the benefit of the doubt, let them give their true view and try to understand it.
