Around the 6:30 mark when you were fidgeting with the discharge pipe was my saving grace. I cleaned the flame sensor, checked all the connections, checked amps/volts and was still only having a flame for a few seconds. I fidgeted around with the discharge pipe and discovered some blockages, I disconnected it and cleared the residue and my problem was fixed! I've watched tons of videos before finding yours and seeing you troubleshoot through the complete process saved my family and I from a chilly winter. If I could like the video 1,000 times I would, Thank you so much Steven!
This was awesome!!! My wife and I own a Bakery. And the dang heat just cut off. Found this video and just did what he did. PROBLEM SOLVED and money saved. Blessings to ya!
My chance to throw in my testimonial, as I myself just used this exact approach to get my furnace back in working order. Simply changed all filters and cleaned the sensor, far preferable to calling an HVAC company and trying to schedule an appointment at the beginning of an unusually cold December where I live. Great video!
Good video and info. It's now 5:30am and I've been up since around 2:30am looking at RUclips videos. This video helped me out a lot from calling a furnace tech. I did what you did in this video and my furnace ignited right up.
I can’t thank you enough for this video that fixed my furnace. I’ll never know how much time and money you’ve saved me but I’m sure it’s not insignificant. Your kindness and thoughtfulness are very much appreciated. God bless you.
Location has nothing to do with it, it’s just decent people that are raised right. “Southern hospitality” is no longer a thing, as I’ve seen much better hospitality up north. Now it’s “country hospitality”. Stay away from them crazy city people!
it worked just as you said! I had an issue with my Goodman furnace. Fan would run but it would head up. I pulled off the vacuum line and used a paperclip as you showed. After putting the line back on. I plugged the unit back in and it started right up. Thank you!
You seem like a upfront and honest tech. Im curious how much you charge for a call like this. Im a new tech and working towards becoming independent. I dont want to overcharge for something as easy as this.
After so meny days , i fixet , thanks you so mach , gracias despues de tantos dias , gracias a este señor, puede arreglar mi calentador , michso dias antes revisaba el termostato ,muchas veces y nada , y nada , hasta q este señor me enseño, limpie el encendedor de fuego , las varitas , no tenia lija ,lo hice con la fibra de alambre q todos tenemos uno , tambien linpie la manguerita , y listo
This problem can come back very soon. When the white stuff builds up inside the pipe. It starts falling and clogging the port. The long-term fix is removing the exaust pipe, cleaning all the build-up stuff, the inside of the inducer motor, and no call back.
Where does the white build up come from? My 5 year old Goodman has a lot of it. Looks like it was once wet, but dried to a white residue, seems a bit dangerous around the electrical components. Where does it come from?
Well I live down in Sedalia Missouri and we have not turned our heat back on since it started warming up it will be at least around October before we turn our heat back but I have had lots of central air calls
I cant figure out how to get my heater on i cleaned that pipe thing but i cant even get my heater on and i have no idea what im doing ganna have to call someone
My Goodman furnace stopped working. Dead. Looked at all the DIY videos. Tried everything. Called the installer. $69 for a service call. $160 for diagnosis of problem. Plus cost of any repairs. I went back upstairs to have a last look at my thermostat controls in the little panel n the wall. It was dead to. I decided to remove the front panel to look for any problems. I discovered this device ran off of two AA batteries. Replaced the dead batteries. Problem fixed. $4 vs several hundred if a service guy would have been called. CHECK THE BATTERIES IN THE CONTROL BOX FIRST THING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just fixed my furnace this is something I never would’ve thought of thanks for the great content and information.
You video just saved me from waiting in the cold for a week for a $100 service call. Thank you. P.S. cute dog.
Another great video, some of these crooks would’ve been trying to sell her a new unit. A lot of these guys should learn from Steve and Molly. 👍
You damn right 6,500
I wouldn't because it looks brand new inside.
thats their first go to, need new unit. no fixing ld.
@joeyyc8515 crooks don't care , they'll try to make a sell regardless of how old
Easy fix - nice clean unit.
Nice lady.

In Texas too

Nice fix, nice lady, new customer. Always room for new clients, especially when they’re easy to deal with and pay you.

You sir saved me alot of money and time right before christmas week. A huge thank you from my family and I hope you have a great Merry Christmas.

China joe and the mob would call that global warming or cooling.

Thx. Clean looking unit. It was 46degF a couple of mornings ago here. Tad cool for growing corn.
Thanks for video . Single mother I was able to save money and fix furnace and got my heat going again, just need to purchase some new filters now.
how simple this fix turned out to be! Goodman furnace was giving lot of trouble, but your video quickly solved the issue. Great good work steven.👌👍
Good fix on this one.
Just saved me a ton of money and headache man. I appreciate it

My furnace is not firing up. Same brand too. Great video.

ty sir. appreciate the pros showing how to solve the easier fixes
I had the same issue once. That hose got clogged with crud and wouldn't pull vacuum. Took a while to figure it out though. Not as quick as you. LOL
Thank you sir, you saved me from a cold night.
Good job Steve great video
Good fix.
Thanks for posting this. I had the same issue and was able to use your video to troubleshoot my system. 👍🏻👍🏻
Dude , this helped me out thanks a lot ! Fixed my problem
Nice fix steve.what do you think about Goodman a/c and heating systems
Good job Steve, but quick question. I thought that the best thing was a dollar bill over sand paper because it’s too tuff for flame sensors.?

Can't stop a Goodman Mama.
Nice job..
Thanks for the video God bless you 🙏2024 you help me a lot and save me lot of money
Crazy you still doing heating calls and it almost July.
You can't stop a Goodman!
Could anyone help should the flame stay on or should it go on and off mines don't stay on
Steve are you from Boston by any chance?
Why did you check draft pressure….
The flame sensor literally goes through fire, every time it starts up per winter season. They get a lot of abuse.
Good intel👍
Awesome video Steve as always! Remain safe and keep them coming 👏 👍 👌
Last winter our dual vacuum switch went bad and had to be replaced. It's a dual vacuum switch because the furnace has a dual speed fan.
why does mt furnace breaker trip
hard to Stop a Good Man
Howdy Steve and Molly
You two have MAJOR Mass accents! LOL Do you service the Attleboro area?
love the customer
I cant figure out how to get my heater on i cleaned that pipe thing but i cant even get my heater on and i have no idea what im doing ganna have to call someone
Hello! My furnace keeps turning off every 20 minutes or so for about 10 minutes then turns back on, is this normal?
I wish our dang gas furnace was in garage like most, but its in freaking attic and only access is in kitchen pantry. Just a pain to do anything
“I got a couple screws loose.”🤣 Love how you’re always so cool with customers👍
Hi steve love your videos
You recommend changing the filter every 6 months? I have been told to change it every 3 months? Her filter looked horrible!
I had this issue on my 19 year old Ducane Furnace.
I read an article earlier today that Panasonic was going to sell heat pumps with propane as the refrigerant! 😬
she "gets" you steve...time to make your move, mama...
Another happy customer calling the right man for the job. Another guy would of tried to sell her a new system.
She’s got a good flame 🔥 on that furnace.. that white dust though was the Culprit👍🏻
Steve can go 🎣 now lol
I get that white dust. I think it’s from the combustion gases condensation from the flue pipe. Some kind of reaction on the zinc. 🤷♂️
What is with all the Goodman's on the East coast?
They are cheap and always available
You need a dog harness seat belt for you Molly!!!
Do a tutorial!!
"She's a Leaker" 🤣

At least bang the filter on the ground outside to get most of the dust out. 🤷♂️😏👍🏻
Thanks I didn’t was very helpful
I was Vero close to call some one to helpme
Easy money 💴
Scary.
You are so right when you get older you tend to leak LOL
Should have a 90 on that mc going into the unit.
No suction mama...
Hello Steve!
That filter was chooched
Takin’ care of business ya’ll..
No excuse to have a filter like that.
