Hey Jay...You are my Furnace Fixer HERO!!!! After watching your video it took me exactly 2 minutes to fix my High Limit Switch that must have been out over 6 months. Of course, I heard the fan blowing and all the switches and button worked so I felt I was good to go...and of course I purchased room fans. Your step by step educational video save me of $225...from a so call professional quote...and now my home is HEATED, in no time. That Tapping trick on the High Limit Switch was amazing...and your other video, on cleaning your burners with a wired brush was fantastic...my burners look like new. By the way, I have never touched my Furnace...didn't even know a blinking Sight light was even suppose to be on. You make me proud to be a Female fixer upper in my home...Thankssssssssssssssssssss a whole lot!!!!! Keep up the good work!!!!
It was the first day of cool temps and my house was 63°F. I turned on the heater and sure enough it was blowing, but only cold air. I watched your video. I opened my furnace panel, I looked at the flashing lights, I correlated it to the diagnostic on the sticker of the inside of the furnace. I replaced the filter, I didn’t have to bang on the thingy, but I pulled the plugs out, and when I put them back in my heater started working! I am so proud of myself, and I only tried it because of how clear and easy your video was. Thank you! Single female, 10pm and I’m so happy.
I know this video is 3 years old. However, I followed the steps in this video and got my furnace working again. My upper limit was open, and I changed the air filter, but it still didn't work. Gave the sensor a few taps with the screw driver, and Voila it's working. Saved me at least $80 for a service call. Much appreciated 🙏 ☺️
I have (2) Bryant Plus 90i Furnaces. My problem was with one, it was blowing out cool air for a while, then cuts off and stays off for a long period of time then turns back on blowing cool air again. I called the HVAC guy and he charged me $435.00 just only to replace a pressure switch. Months later, a similar problem began with my other furnace. So I went on Ebay and purchased a Pressure switch costing $125.00 and installed it myself. Now I must say its working great! Thank You.
@@willarddickerson921 Nice work. I have learned so much about furnaces with the help of this guy and others on RUclips. I have always been mechanically inclined but watching experienced folks helps out so much. I have replaced almost every part of my furnace the last 2 years.. in fact I have a spare ignitor now so if it breaks I can fix it right away. Next fall I may try replacing the entire thing as I know the heat exchanger is probably going to go bad sometime. It's 15 years old and that seems to be the life of appliances nowadays unfortunately.
Thank you. Followed the instructions, and worked. Furnace back on. I tapped the furnace housing and the switch didn't reset. I removed it and tapped it and it reset. I would have diagnosed it and bought a new switch. Saved not only money, but the time to get the switch. Don't know why someone would give it a thumbs down. Two thumbs up!
This is our second time to have to refer to this video to fix our furnace. It’s been a couple cold seasons now since we fixed it the first time. It has been so helpful. Saved us a service call and cost of repair! Thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial!
So I’m in New england today in middle of winter storm kenan. Of course my heat decided to go out and nobody would come for an emergency because our roads are closed. I tried this and it worked. Absolutely thrilled!! Thank youuu!!
Thanks to your honesty I got my furnace running. Praise God! I cleaned up the fire sensor and changed the igniter; reset one of the thermal switches and took the other one out and tapped it on the floor. Now I know I have to keep the filter changed. :)
You're the best, Today on Christmas my furnace gave up, I followed the steps you suggested in your video. Changed the filter, tapped the high-limit switch and it worked, I will still get it serviced. Thank you you're a life saver. God bless.
You are a genius!!! I knocked on the limit switch a couple times and the inducer motor started up right away (Goodman and the limit switch was round, just like you described it). I had furniture in front of the intake vent, which was probably the culprit...just to let your viewers know. Thanks again!!!!
Thank you sir!! Fan was constantly running throughout the night, was up waiting for it to shut off. House temp dropped to 62. Outside was 23. Found this video. Filter was embarrassingly dirty. Followed your steps of banging on switch, turned power back on and eagerly waited for start-up. Like magic I now have heat. Thank you so much.
I just went to sleep at 1:30 a.m. on Saturday night and at 3 a.m. my wife wake me up and said is really cold I get up and check thermostat and it was at 58 degrees Fahrenheit; I went down to check the furnace, check filter and it was clean and four flashes were coming out the board and my inducer blower was not working, after wondering what to do for 45 minutes, I went to you tube to check a few videos, After checking other 2 videos I found your, after looking your video I went down my furnace again, I did hit the switch where you said and turn switch on and problem fixed. Thank you, my cousin is Ac/ heating thecnicician but leaves 1 hour from home and it will not come in the middle of the night and your video help me to not pay around one or two hundreds dollars for just someone to come and hit the switch. Thanks a lot, going back to bed now at 4 a.m. I learned something great tonight. THANKS A LOT BUD!
thank you so much for your videos. I sure wish I had found them last year. i'm a 60 yr old grandma who honestly doesn't know anything about mechanical things. i'm actually afraid to touch anything that uses electricity, gas, propane, etc. i'm afraid it will blow up. last year I practically rebuilt the front of my nordyne 90% propane furnace in the middle of winter. my electric bill doubled while I replaced almost everything trying to get the furnace to work. I kept getting different combinations of red blinks after I would replace a piece. I finally got it working and it was ok until a couple of weeks ago when I noticed that it was pouring cool air out of my floor vents again. this time the furnace would fire up and then the flames would go out after several minutes. sometimes the flames would stop burning where they were supposed to burn and an orange flame would light up inside one or two of the burner tubes. no actual "blow back", but the furnace would shut off after a few minutes and just cool air would come out of my vents. it would try to recycle but the same thing would happen. I found your videos and noted a lot less that I could replace this time around. I had a yellow blinking light which on my furnace means a low flame fault. I bought a new flame sensor because I was able to rub some gunk off of it but about 2/3's of it was blackened and would not clean off. I put the new flame sensor in, turned on my furnace and it seemed to stay on a little longer than the first time but still faulted out to the blinking yellow light and the cool air. I checked your videos again and started taking the burner box apart to try to clean the burners. got to a point where my available tools wouldn't allow me to continue--can't reach 2 of the screws on the right side of it. i'm trying to loosen things to a point where I can reach in and clean the burners on the right side without removing them. I cleaned the orifices in that bar from the gas bar in front of the burners. the burner by the flame sensor was blackened and I can't seem to get that clean either. I'm going to try to clean the condensate tubes too. I think this is all I have left to try unless you have any other ideas. it's been pretty cold here in the upper peninsula of Michigan as i'm sure you know--below zero wind chills at night and we've gotten so much snow that my garage just collapsed early this morning. so as you might have guessed....there's no new furnace for me any time soon. thanks again for your videos. you do a great job of teaching at the right level and showing us everything that we need to see--so many others just tell us what they've done but don't show the video. The only other comment I have is.....you don't happen to have a single father who knows as much as you do about all of this, do you?
Awesome! No one else has this. I had the same problem. No heat. Clogged filter. Four red lights. Other videos really didn’t help at all. Your’s nailed it. Thank you!
You are a lifesaver for me, twice!! Again, today my furnace was blowing cold air. Followed your steps and the problem is solved. In addition to your steps, I'm glad u mentioned what could be causing this. Checked my filter and it looked exactly the same and then I remembered that my wife had gotten few new jars of a candle which we have burning. Time to have a conversation with the wife about the candles :-). I'll make sure you donate to your page directly since your advice has helped me twice now. Thanks again!
It is currently Christmas Eve, 2022 at 10:52 PM, and this WORKED! We came home to a house at 45 degrees and it has been a super stressful hour or so figuring this out. Thank you so much for actually explaining the limiter and bi-metal, it made sense to me and every other video we watched just said the switch needed replacement. Thank you so much!!
Same exact thing here but Christmas Day! 1st year we got -30 temps and blower stopped. Currently chugging hot coffee and going to tackle this. As you Said 1st video that was thorough and didn't just say calm your hvac as we all know on Christmas day a simple fix could cost thousands just to have someone come. Thanks for the video OP!
Jack, thank you once more. It works. It is below 10 degrees here and I have no protection plan right now. I was freaking out about my family being cold. Thank you for giving a very clear instructions. God Bless.
Tapping it made it work! Noticed vents were blowing cold air, burners weren’t on, and flashing 4 lights. This video saved us a goods night rest, THANK YOU!
It's 2am. It's 11 degrees outside and my furnace died. You saved my pipes from freezing. I tried everything and this fixed it. You are an hvac Robin hood.
You the man, I had the pressure switch code, but everything was ok, then I tapped on the limit switch and it started working! I called the emergency repair service and said nevermind. You rock!
Great video! I was able to troubleshoot my son’s furnace when he experienced no heat in his home. With a newborn in the house this vid came in the nick of time! Thanks so much!!
You are a Star ! Watching you is like watching this old house or one of those public broadcasting stations andyou communicate and show what you're doing so well anyone could follow it most likely and you're not boring
Brother, it’s midnight.. the furnace isn’t working right.. it’s cold.. I’ve been searching the internet for 4 hours while my wife and young kids are sleeping upstairs with space heaters on… your video helped me get the heat running again and saved me money. Thank you!
Ok, you are an absolute legend!! Dog hair plugged furnace filter was the issue. Fault signal was high limit stuck open . Took it out and tapped a couple times. Reinstalled and then furnace fired right up. Thank you for saving me $200 and teaching me this !!!
I love RUclips. And people like you that make easy to understand, concise videos. I watched another video or two that were okay but didn’t resolve the issue-yours did. Thanks for saving me the service call and a cold night as temps are supposed to drop the next couple nights here in MN. Signed, A Grateful Dad
Thanks Bro, you saved the day! After first snow in Minnesota yesterday, furnace stopped heating and I had called for service but they did not show up because it's a weekend and they had a lot of calls. So we have been cold all day and I decided to search on youtube and came across this video around an hour ago. It's 11 PM now and after a couple of wacks to the limit switch, the furnace is running again and heating the house!
That's what I like to hear! :) Glad I was able to help a fellow Minnesotan! It was snowing all day today too. Thank you for leaving a comment, stay warm!
MY friend...that wax from the candles is AN amazing deduction of why filters go so quick! Thank you for the rest of the information as well, I forgot my filter to change it out as well, and now I think I might be in a lock out.
I realize you put this up something like 3 years ago but you just saved me. I don’t have the same type of switch like you so mine was easier to reset but thanks to you I knew what to look for. Then I was able to look up how to reset mine. My furnace actually has 2 of these. Anyway, thank you so much.
in April of 2020, our furnace started blowing only cool air through the house. A little Googling and I landed at this video. It fixed it and the process only took ten or 15 minutes! I just wanted to say thanks! Saved us the hassle of having someone out at the beginning of the pandemic and saved a bunch of money.
THANK YOU! You saved me paying hundreds of dollars to incompetent HVAC companies. They diagnosed my Trans furnace problem as the air pressure switch, and were going to charge $380 for the part and another $100 to go get it on a Saturday. Was the wrong diagnosis, would have been the wrong part, and many hours wasted. Thank you! I've subscribed. :)
My furnace was blowing cold air and i looked up this tutorial and sure enough what he said worked. I am very grateful for this saved me some money thank you
Im an HVAC 3.89 grad and mine just did this. The school never taught us this could happen. I was going nuts trying to figure out wth was wrong. Totally overlooked the filter. Problem solved. TY dude
Thanks for the info. This just happened to me this morning. My filter did not look dirty at all and was not my usual time to change it. I changed the filter anyway and so far everything has been working.
Thank you for your help. Our furnace stopped working in the middle of the night and we have a little baby. It’s 15F out tonight. You really helped us a lot.
You're welcome, I love hearing that! I am happy to know that my video helped you get the furnace back up and running! I can't imagine how it feels since even I get a little worried if my furnace stops heating.
Thanks so much. Eight degrees and no heat. We had been cutting a lot of tile in the garage, probably clogged the filter. A few raps on the switch got her up and running. You are awesome, we are grateful.
My heater was out for about 3 weeks and when I went online and watched this video for just 5 minutes, I was able to followed the first few steps and now my heater and up and running again. Thank you for sharing knowledge!
Middle of night our house was so cold and heater was blowing air but it wasn't hot. We watched this video and found out that it was overheated like you said and we hit it with the end of a screwdriver like you said and boom! Hot air! It worked! We changed out our filter now because it was indeed dirty and needed changing. Thank you for saving us money and from having a very cold night! Awesome video!!
I recently had trouble with my unit not blowing hot air. Long story short it was WATER in the drain tube. I have a 90 percenter and over the last 16 years sand clogged my P trap and the water could not drain. Thank you for the videos, they helped me sort out the problem one component at a time. We blew out the p trap with compressed air, now it drains and the heater stopped failing.
You have an incredible ability to communicate effectively. Superior communication skills! Maybe you should be in broadcasting----but then again, on You Tube, you basically are!
Saved my life this morning! With all this COVID stuff going on, we were really worried that we were going to have a service man come in to fix it. Found your video and had it up and running within 2 minutes of watching it! Thank you!!! Mine is a Lennox furnace. The lights are green and red, alternating slow flashes (1 per second) to indicate a problem with this switch. Change your filter!
You are a genius and a Godsend! This was my problem and all I had to do is tap the end piece of metal and it fired right up. Saved me a hundred dollar service call for a little blood, sweat and wine lol
Thank you for the advice. My home 's temp is now 66 F and not a chilly 59 F. A dirty air filter was probably the culprit ... and my forgetfulness. I'm overdue for a Furnace Cleaning so I will not delay that any longer. Thanks again.
Good video. A voltage check is where its at. Stick your meter on the furnace, then ground out the black terminal on the meter (the meter shown in the video is the same one i use and is great, comes with alligator clamps.) Put one alligator on the black lead and hook it to the ground. Set the thermostat to call for heat. For this particular furnace, wait for the inducer to go to full speed. Check the voltage across the pressure switch, then the high limit and any relays. Then you can figure out which safety control is locking out the furnace. Then from there you can figure out what has to be done to make the repair. A multimeter and a manometer will do wonders to any gasfitter or hvac tech doing furnace repairs. As a licensed gasfitter in canada i really like this video. It shows an easy way for homeowners to save a service call without delving too far into professional repairs. Advanced repairs should always be done by a licensed professional especially dealing with gas but simple things like this are great for a homeowner to know. All in all, two thumbs up! Great video. Many of the high limit callouts ive been on are due to filter issues. Great job!
Hello!! Thank you!! I had the 4 lights blinking quickly. We had new lights put in the house so the handyman kept turning the main breaker on and off. My husband worked on it last night and by morning it was 54 in the house, 20 degrees outside. I woke up freezing cold and watched this video! I banged on it 4 times like you and it turned back on after I flipped the switch!! My husband is impressed at how I got it back on. I won't tell him my secret!! Thank you!!
Thanks for mentioning that candles can produce a waxy coating on the air filter. I recently replaced a white filter after a month of use and it was jet black. This has never happened before. We religiously change our filter every month. We believe the culprit was using a plugin air freshener, and then burning two large candles. Softer candles produce more soot than others. So I think the plugging air freshener left an oily coating on the filter and burning the two candles left a black soot that was caught by the oily residue causing the filter to be a jet black color after only one month of use. Jay brought up a good point, burning candles can leave a waxy coating that you might not notice and this can plug up the filter and damage your HVAC.

This morning my furnace would blow cold air. Watched your video, changed filter, tap the hot limit switch as you’d mentioned in the video. It’s working great and blowing warm/hot air. Thank you!
And HVAC guy wanted $230ish for this service yesterday!!! Part alone is $11. I was able to fix that by testing and whacking it a few times and be done in 10 min myself. Although I watched another YT vid to get it tode, yours is extremely good with better details.
My goodness. Thank you so much for the tip. Banging didn't work initially so I took it out and tap it few times and put it back. Viola! Works! Thank you so much! Wow!
I consider myself a jack of all trades. Im one of those guys who’s not afraid to jump into any Mr fix it project and usually landing on both feet. That being said videos like yours help guys like me immensely. Some people think of trades, such as HVAC, are just grunt jobs for the uneducated. We know that’s not true. The trades are the jobs that keep our nation going. With out the trades everything would grind to a stop. If it was so menial, why do they call someone to fix it. I came across your Videos last year when my furnace stopped working. Desperate not to call a service tech on a weekend. Thanks to your videos i got my furnace working. Fast forward to today wake up Sat morning furnace blowing cold air.😰high limit switch stuck open. Had it up and running before my son woke! Your videos are great! Very simple, detailed and informational. Thank you so very much😁
Try ALL of this. Guarantee it will work! I had to take out the limiter and tap it around to get it to work. And you should clean off you censor anyway while you’re in there. The pictures and your explanation is awesome!
Tapping on the switch worked! We’ve been-32 wind chill for days so our furnace was overworked. Plus, multiple power outages. Thanks again for the help.
As always, another awesome video from your channel. You helped me fix my furnace this morning in 5 minutes. Turning the furnace off, let it sit for a few seconds, and turning it off cleared the error code and just like that, I now have heat again. Appreciate your advice!!!
Thank you it worked I just changed the filter and smacked the switch a few times as told. It worked. Today is Christmas it saved me a service call and saved my family from a cold night as well. Thank you.
Christmas day morning and your video helped bring us heat! We overheated and shut off... Overnight, temps hit -15°f/-26°c, we had a ton of drifting snow, and our outside vents had snowed and iced over. Knocked off the ice, reset the switch, and we are celebrating a better Christmas thanks to you!
You're a life and pocket book saver. I didn't check the code, just rapped on the limit switch, turned everything back on, and it started right up. Will definitely be changing the filters regularly from now on.
Yes, I followed your directions, hit the high limit switch a couple times with a screw driver, the furnace lit up and produced heat again. Make you turn off the switch on the side of the furnace and turn your thermostat off before hitting the high limit switch. Thank you!
I LOVE smart, humble, dudes like you!!! Thanks for the exceptional commentary and video!!! About to watch your Top 10 Furnace Problems vids... and I don't even own a furnace!?
Sure enough, couple taps on the limit switch and furnace started right up. I had put a high efficiency filter in a month or so earlier and I bet it was restricting flow. Anyway put regular filter in and will see if it resolved the issue permanently. Greate advice thanks.
Exactly the issue we had, it wasn't from a dirty filter, It's been -30 degrees out and furnace has been on constantly. Will probably replace the part though, but at least I'm getting heat, Bravo to you sir.
Thank you, bro! I sincerely and genuinely appreciate you and this video, especially on a cold day like this. I literally just banged on the open limit switch a few times, and BOOM!, it was back on. Thanks again, and may Allah bless you and your loved ones!
2 am, heater blowing cold air, thermostat reading 68°, thank God i found your video. Now the heater works like clock work, thank you man and God bless!!!
I would say this video is the most useful I get in years, considering how urgent it is having no heat in cold days. Clear symptom and instruction, thumb up!
I only can say thank you so much God bless you and people like you I have no idea what to do, watching couple video , tell me what to do , and when I start watching your , I said naaaaa can’t be that simple You save me Thank you
Very nice, clear and concise presentation. Thank you for taking the mystery out of diagnosing this problem. Can't understand the "thumbs down" must be very insecure folks! Thank you again!
wanted to send a quick note of thanks. I followed everything you said to a T and the heat kicked back on. I appreciate it, especially the part about the air filter and burning lots of candles.

This guy provides concise and informative videos. Probably the best on the Internet.
God Bless.
It's rare to find a good honest repair guy. always appreciate it. Thanks for your simple and free advice!.
Tapping it made it work! Noticed vents were blowing cold air, burners weren’t on, and flashing 4 lights. This video saved us a goods night rest, THANK YOU!
Great to hear that! You're welcome, stay warm!!
I have watched a couple of your videos. Thank you for making your furnace videos to both you and to your wife.
This guy knows what he is doing. I fixed my furnace on 10m. Thank you sir.
Keep sharing more videos
You are a Star ! Watching you is like watching this old house or one of those public broadcasting stations andyou communicate and show what you're doing so well anyone could follow it most likely and you're not boring
Brother, it’s midnight.. the furnace isn’t working right.. it’s cold.. I’ve been searching the internet for 4 hours while my wife and young kids are sleeping upstairs with space heaters on… your video helped me get the heat running again and saved me money. Thank you!
My furnace if back up and running thanks to your help 🙂 🙏 thank you very much for sharing your experience! God bless you and your family.
This is the second time I've watched your videos and found and fixed my furnace.
Thank you and God bless you, young man 🙏
I love to hear that the videos have been helpful! Thank you, I receive the blessing and may the Lord bless you and yours as well!
I’m just want to said thank you so much 4 your help and information. I’m just got my hvac license and watching your videos is really helpful.
Woke up on Christmas Day to a freezing house. I was so thankful for your video. You saved Christmas!!!
I am very grateful for this saved me some money thank you
Happy to hear that! Stay warm :)
Man that was the best way someone have ever explain something ... thanks a lot God bless u bro 🙏🏿☝🏿
Happy to hear that! :) Glad you were able to get it fixed and the video helped. Stay warm!
I'm happy to hear that the video saved the night! :) Thank you for coming back to leave a comment, stay warm!
I had a same thing I didn't replace my filter yet (i will) its 5AM but right now it's working thank you!!!
After watching several furnace videos, This is the one that worked. Thank you!
This was it! Hit it with a screwdriver and it worked. Life saver. It was cold! Thank you!
OHMYYYYYY THANK YOU SO MUCH. We woke up freezing cold here in CALGARY, ALBERTA CA. I came upon your video, my husband tried this and it worked!! We’re all warm now thanks to your video! Will definitely subscribe and share your channel!!!! Thank you again 🥹😭🥹😭🥹😭🥹
Wow! You have a RUclips career my friend. That was amazing fast, funny and saved me a lot of money! You deserve a lot more than just this comment!
My goodness. Thank you so much for the tip. Banging didn't work initially so I took it out and tap it few times and put it back. Viola! Works! Thank you so much! Wow!
Thanks for helping! That was a great video and you saved us on a VERY COLD night!! We are now your #1 fans!!
Thanks for all your videos and helping me to expand my knowledge so I can help my family and friends
You are amazing, clear, concise, and to the point. The envy of some companies (not all) who take advance of innocent non-knowledgeable home owners. Thank you for this and other informative videos, helped me immensely as I’m sure others. Thank you! Subscribed!
You are welcome! Thank you for the positive review! 😄 I'm glad to hear that the videos have been helpful for you and appreciate you subscribing. Stay warm and have a Merry Christmas!!
It worked just as you suggested. I can't believe I did it all by myself. I'm not a handy girl, but I was having problem with my furnace blowing cold air. I saw your video, followed your instructions and repaired it myself. It took me less than 2 minutes. I have a friend who is on his way over to fix it for me, he won't believe I did it either. Thank you so much. I was tired of being cold and waiting for someone to come by to look at it. Thank you thank you!!!!!
You're very welcome! :) Glad to hear you were able to get the furnace fixed yourself! Thank you for leaving a comment, stay warm!!
Thank you so very much😁
Awesome! :) You're welcome. Glad to hear that my videos have been helping you out! Thank you for leaving a comment, stay warm!
the real question is what was the cause of your furnace overheating
Try ALL of this. Guarantee it will work! I had to take out the limiter and tap it around to get it to work. And you should clean off you censor anyway while you’re in there. The pictures and your explanation is awesome!
Excellent breakdown for diagnosing and testing limit switch issues! $10 part is much better than a service call. Thanks for the video.
Tapping on the switch worked! We’ve been-32 wind chill for days so our furnace was overworked. Plus, multiple power outages. Thanks again for the help.
Thank you for taking the time to make this video. Your banging on the switch did the trick for me! Same issue... Neglected filter.
Hey It took me 12:07 seconds to watch your video. It took me :38 seconds to fix my furnace at NO cost me. You are amazing..
As always, another awesome video from your channel. You helped me fix my furnace this morning in 5 minutes. Turning the furnace off, let it sit for a few seconds, and turning it off cleared the error code and just like that, I now have heat again. Appreciate your advice!!!
Jay- I followed the vid and it worked like a charm. A few gentle taps and the heat was back. Thank you!
Thank you was able to install a 90 plus furnace in my home in the middle of last winter because of instructional videos such as yours. God Bless you.
Thank you it worked I just changed the filter and smacked the switch a few times as told. It worked. Today is Christmas it saved me a service call and saved my family from a cold night as well. Thank you.
The 155 dislike must be people who run a heating & cooling business? LOL
286 today , December 2 2020 .LOL
Christmas day morning and your video helped bring us heat! We overheated and shut off... Overnight, temps hit -15°f/-26°c, we had a ton of drifting snow, and our outside vents had snowed and iced over. Knocked off the ice, reset the switch, and we are celebrating a better Christmas thanks to you!
You're a life and pocket book saver. I didn't check the code, just rapped on the limit switch, turned everything back on, and it started right up. Will definitely be changing the filters regularly from now on.
Happy to hear it was a fast fix! :) Stay warm!
Yes, I followed your directions, hit the high limit switch a couple times with a screw driver, the furnace lit up and produced heat again. Make you turn off the switch on the side of the furnace and turn your thermostat off before hitting the high limit switch. Thank you!
Wow we must protect this
Man at all Costs, I owe u my career🙌🏽
I LOVE smart, humble, dudes like you!!! Thanks for the exceptional commentary and video!!! About to watch your Top 10 Furnace Problems vids... and I don't even own a furnace!?
Sure enough, couple taps on the limit switch and furnace started right up. I had put a high efficiency filter in a month or so earlier and I bet it was restricting flow. Anyway put regular filter in and will see if it resolved the issue permanently. Greate advice thanks.
Exactly the issue we had, it wasn't from a dirty filter,
It's been -30 degrees out and furnace has been on constantly.
Thank you! Great video! Woke up this morning and the thermostat was at 57. Watched this video while my coffee was brewing and was able to fix it.
I only can say thank you so much
God bless you and people like you
I have no idea what to do, watching couple video , tell me what to do , and when I start watching your , I said naaaaa can’t be that simple
You save me
Thank you
Thank you so much for this vid. I have a baby and the heater is not working by doing this the heat is back on in no time. Your a lifesaver
Thank you! Haven’t had heat for a few weeks and this is all it was. I though I was going to have to fork out a bunch of money to get it fixed.
Happy to hear you were able to get it fixed! :) Stay warm!
Saved us 100's of dollars. We have had a rough year financially and just plain crappy luck. You saved me time/money and we are grateful.
Very nice, clear and concise presentation. Thank you for taking the mystery out of diagnosing this problem. Can't understand the "thumbs down" must be very insecure folks! Thank you again!
Thumbs down was a furnace repair man.
wanted to send a quick note of thanks. I followed everything you said to a T and the heat kicked back on. I appreciate it, especially the part about the air filter and burning lots of candles.
Great to hear! Glad you were able to get it fixed, stay warm!
i love this guy. he's so detailed but straight to the point.
No he's not... the story about his wife blah, blah, was unnecessary filler.
Thank you so much this saved my family $300 (after hours repair est.) and it was 10°F today! Who said hitting never solves anything?
Buddy, all I can say is that my house is warm right now because of you, thanks and keep up the good work man ✌👌👍
Happy to hear that! :) Stay warm!
