What a great place to find rocks!
I am going to say it only because most just dislike it for being a simple truth that we should have realized in the tender years of youth; petrified wood, agate, jasper, obsidian, opals, quartz, amber, chalcedony, precious metals,
and even some geodes all come from
a similar source; ancient and not too ancient tree. epending upon length of exposure yo oxidation, the extent of decomposition, the mineralization of the environment such as soil or water, and other factors will play in as determining factors that contribute to the outcome, the final product found and collected!
Again, awesome finds!....so much stuff that is very difficult or impossible to find around my neck of the woods;

For sure! There are a lot of places where the old river bed is coming out of the banks giving up old treasures, this year I’m gonna spend more time looking at them!
