My private swim teacher said that his students (swimmer athletes, age around 12 to 18) used to start practice at 4am to swim around 2000 meter (minimum). At 5am they have morning pray for about 5 to 10 mins (we are moeslem) and swim again until 6am. Then go to school (in my country, school start at 7am until 3pm).
Yeah, all the same. Out pool is to open at 0700. And for me it takes to get there abt 20 mins plus time to wake up, to dress, bath etc. So abt 06:15 wake up. And almost every morning like this. But... after morning pool you are fresh all day long.
