This is by far the CLEANIST and Detailed yet so simple channel for case reviews. I respect you. German perfection. I hope your channel grows a lot more !

16 fans (1 for PSU) 😊! I placed order on this case after your review now ❤

  • @ΓιάννηςΧατζηγεωργίου-θ9σ

Congrats Chris for another excelent review and built!!! As for the case...it's such a beauty!! But let me mention only ONE of its features that made me loving it!! (i will leave out the PSU placement on the upper compartment...we have seen it before and it's a super great idea which i am very up for it). So...AT LAST someone thought to put in good use all the bottom fans!!! If you remember Chris, few months back, i had suggested to do your thermal tests by elevating the bottom part of the case in order for the fans to work with fresh ambient air and not the air which is trapped below the case. The air trapped below the case is more or less 3-5 degrees warmer than the ambient room temp. So...by doing that, giving a slight angle to the bottom side, the bottom fans work just perfectly, cooling the gpu as they should, the whole system much much better and your thermals proved that point. For me this design is definitely a game changer for all those who will to use bottom fans to provide better air flow. In my opinion, in any other case, bottom fans with just a margin from the floor about 2-3 cm, are absolutely pointless and do not offer significant changes for cooling performance. VERY WELL done Phanteks!!!

Thanks for the great thorough review of the case! great stuff!
i haver a few questions for you:
    1. how much room do you recon is there in the case in terms of height clearance for a bottom rad + vertical gpu block? is it possible in your opinion to have a vertical water blocked gpu with a bottom (slim) rad while not being literally in front of the cpu block, covering it?
    2. Any insight into when Phanteks will allow to make review videos for the d30 fans?
Many thanks for the video and thank you in advance for a response Christopher!
Keep up the great work! your videos are really helpful and informative, not to mention fun and entertaining to watch :)

I think it will depend on the vertical GPU mount and what slots it goes into, unfortunately this isn't something I have tested. I wasn't made aware of any restriction on reviews of the fans, but I don't have any plans for a separate review.

Another excellent Dutch design. Contemplating wether to go for this beast of a case or the Hyte Y60. Can't go wrong with either to be frank.

Depends on what you need in terms of functionality and/or looks. I’m in the process of breaking down my Y60 build to the NV7 out of necessity. For me it comes to greater access to all PCIe lanes - I’ll be nvlinking GPUs, so… there’s that.
      :)

@@ChristopherFlannigan I went ahead and ordered the Hyte H60. Your video was very helpful to make the decision.
I need your help on a crucial part of the build: Would you rather pick a 360mm aio or a 280 aio (intake)? I value a silent operating system and I read a 280mm aio is more silent and it's performance is about the same as a 360mm. Is this correct?
One last vital question: Which of the 140mm Lian Li fans would you pick for the AiO? Lian Li Uni Fan SL-INF 140 (2023) or Lian Li UNI FAN SL140 V2 (2022)?

a smaller shorter version that can still fit 3 fans on the side and a 360 AIO could be perfect for regular users who aren't interested in custom water cooling or push pull configuration, so I think I'll go with the Lian Li EVO, this could be a perfect case though for crazier builds.

I guess if one went with the custom cables from the Phantek third party, extensions wouldn't be needed since the case model is part of the information for the cable provider.

I love watching your builds and reviews!!! I look on your paage first and this one has me. Was set on a 011 evo RGB build, until i saw this. I do have one question. Have you measured that space above the Mobo and between the top fans? Thinking about putting a screen there. But I have not recieved the case yet to measure it. I am curious to know the measurements as your build sits in this review.

What do you think the absolute best fan configuration would be with that if using 1 rad/AIO ..? I got this on the way with the D30s (3x 140 and 9x 120 +3 120 PWM that comes with AIO ) and not sure what the best config with the rad(side or top, feel like top is kinda wasted ish)...Love the video btw!

    Thanks for the good video.
    I have a question.
I'm currently using Rog Helious (with all 4 stock 140mm fans) and Rog Raujin 360 MK I (with the small display) and stock Noctua fans on it,
thinking about changing case (Phanteks NV9 or 7; O11 Evo D XL or NZXT H9 Flow).
So question is which one is better for GPU and CPU Temp if any?
    Thanks.

All that extra meat on the GPU bracket is a big miss. That Aourus logo on the GPU would look sick, but you have to live with it being blocked. Nothing an angle grinder wouldn't fix I suppose.

For the AIO, I was trying to follow what you tried. I know with that AIO you really cant rotate the pump header, but could you have run the tubes towards the rear of the case?

    • @ChristopherFlannigan

Yes, another option, but I didn't want to block motherboard ARGB and rear fans, but if you didn't go push-pull with this AIO I think you would need to do this

Great job as always Chris 👌🏻👏🏻
I just recently received the case with 3 packs of regular D30 fans and 3 packs of reversed D30 fans. I opted for the push/pull mode on Kraken Z73 at the top so it is 15 x D30 fans in total.. but.. I have an issue or a dillema now.. how to connect all 15 fans to the rgb controller as I now have 5 separate rgb fan cables and the controller has only 3 free channel slots..
Ch1 has the rgb strips around the mb
Ch2 has the side 4 intake fans
Ch3 has the bottom 3 intake fans
Ch4 has the top 3 exhaust fans
I'm missing the free channels on the controller for 2 exhaust fans from the back here and the other 3 exhaust fans at the top in push/pull mode...
I feel a bit stupid now while trying to find the best way to connect all 15 fans so everything works as it should.. can I connect the back 2 fans and other top 3 fans to the additional cable connectors/adapters of the fans already connected.. would it be too many fans then on two channels?
Big thanks upfront for the advice and help here.. 🙏🏻
