havent been a BMW fan for the last decade but they are reeling be back in as i was a fan of the 80's 3 series and 5 and well all BMW's of the time.

im not really sold on the looks but its growin on me. that interior though is gorgeous. same cues in the 7 and in the new 5 which is great. nice review jessi. cheers

Jeep Grand Cherokee fuel consumption is similar,but with only 290 hp and much lighter,and no more of a off road vehicle than this gem.
I don't get it. It's obviously not a hybrid so what exactly is the regenerative braking feature using the alternator to charge?

I'm not sure what BMW was thinking developing this. I've seen this in person and its basically the X6 with the exception of how the trunk opens.

@kyleb350 I see, a bit of a bypass I guess. Doesn't seem to do much for gas mileage if you saw the numbers in the vid.

@mcmt1139 If the alternator isn't being used, that means more available power and/or better gas mileage.

Can anyone tell me why the headlights @ 3:05 kept flickering? I also saw this on one of the Audi cars.. Is this an Euro thing?
@faYte0607 Because they are LED (light emitting diodes) takes a very expensive camera to capture them properly.

@SwPiotrek ehhhhh, i dont think so!!! Top Gear UK doesnt need new presenter. Jeremy, May and Hamster are the best!!! However, Top Gear USA does need a update... Jessy (as May), Ross (as Hammond similar height) and Emme (as Clarkson)

@JimmyChannel1 only this and the X6, and maybe the X5 in this regard, but that's where the stupidity from BMW ends! The 1, 3, 5, 7 series are brilliant! And I am not a big fan of their 6 series coupe...

While Audi is thriving with their "Product Strategy" division or whatever the hell its called, BMW is failing, MISERABLY. Their brand is getting so bloated it isn't funny- thats one of the reasons why Audi is doing so well compared to BMW right now. This car, the X6, the X5M (vs X6M), the 1 (when the 3 is so close), and 740 could all disappear, at least as far as the American market is concerned.

@audiboyrs6 tanner is a pro so i can excuse him for not being funny. rutledge is only alright not great. Adam for a human being (not only a comedian) isn't funny whatsoever. Top Gear (the OG's) are the best. Its a comedy show about Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond and it just so coincidentally is about cars. Top gear america is a show about cars that tries way too hard at comedy
