This early car had the executive back seating. Most of the production run 2009-2015 had drop flat rear searing which released more loading space than a 5 series wagon (estate car). Anyone buying for non-folding rear seats should have looked at the 7 series instead and in my opinion the 5GT should have been badged 7 series wagon.

the 550 stands for model 5 with 5 liter compressed air displacement
it was actually a 4.4l twin-turbo v8 but close enough.
