I imagine it’s a breeze to work with nate as a source. Ludwig that supplies his drums I suppose a quite keen in delivering well tuned drums to start off. On stage is good drums. Good drummer. Good drum tech. :). Fantastic combo.
I've been playing a lot of Hogwarts Legacy lately and a common question that gets asked is "If you could create any type of potion, what would it be/do?", and I think my answer is "professional musician". I would kill to be at a level of being able to sit in with some of the best musicians in the world on a whim and hold my own with them. I can't imagine how amazing this is for them!
Hi, nice groove - I'm a rock drummer so I really can't do what you do; however, I'm interested in knowing, what is that is that layered bent cymbal? Is that custom? Cheers.
love that tone on the synth. does anyone know whats that called? it seems to be very popular in this subgenre of jazz. Sounds similar to the wurlitzer, but not really
Not sure on a name for that type of tone, but that particular synth is the UDO super 6. A 12 voice (handy for jazz chords) modern take on a Juno type of sound. Digital oscillators but an analog filter with some cool built in effects and panning/stereo options. Unless you meant the patch he's playing on the Nord, in which case you're right on with the Wurlitzer comparison - it's some kind of Rhodes patch. Rhodes was another make of electric piano from that 1950-70's era. Arguably even more widely used and popular than the Wurli, but those two are the Big 2 of electric piano sounds no doubt.

Anyone have ideas on what kinds of effect pedals on top of a Rhodes Mk1 could get into the wheelhouse of the tone Kiefer has going?
Distortion (light), Stereo chorus, reverb (very little) ?
@@SvenHild It's got so much punchy attack, thats the main thing that my rhodes lacks with just a clean signal
@@dz_catry a clean treble boost, or have your Rhodes re-voiced
whats this type of music called?
