I went with Volvo this time around (2021 s90) and absolutely love the Awd in the northeast snow. A friend of mine lives in Sweden and recommended it over the Audi based upon his experiences with both. Besides its not as off the shelf common as Audi and is way larger inside.
The first car I ever drove in my life was an Audi a4 Same color as on video after I got my driving license. It was truly a wonderful and enjoyable car.

@@RetroCarReviews i got a similar spec to that b6 in the video. 3.0, quattro, manual trans. Just as a wagon. Hit 212.000km the other week. Still drives pretty good for the age and mileage
ive got the 2004 a4 3.0 and after 20 years ive got to say that the power is definitely a bit lacking despite doing preventative maintenance. Would rather have the 1.8t at this point.
i’ve found that the car is more efficient if you put like 92% throttle and slowly roll to 100 than just our right going to 100% throttle. idk if that’s just me but try it next time you drive it. also the timing belt might need to be replaced
I wish i had another one to compare it too so i could know if it just feels slow or if its actually slower than it should be. It could be so many things that it just isn't worth worrying about, especially since theres no way of getting more power out of that engine. Hoping that some day I can sell it and get myself a '01 s4 @@ammy548
Audi has had this system available since the early '80's. Up until the mid '90's, it was only on the fully loaded versions of their models and until 1992, only with a manual transmission. They made it optional on all models and trim levels in 1996.
lol back in the day u could have gotten the 2.3T5 with sport suspension and awd for same money as the audi, so this is unfair, they took a cheaper model
Luv my Audi A6 3.0 Quatro.

I just can't stand what these brands are putting out lately, but these two are absolutely wonderful!
I agree I used to be obsessed with cars, obsessed... but the new models don't even do anything for me anymore, sadly...
Ugly, all the new cars are ugly. Boring, tired, you can mix and match badges and wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.
I’ve had both these cars In these trim but the 6 speed Quattro AWD will always be king in the snow
I' Have little brother of that AUDI, A4 B6 170HP (6 cylinder) and absolutly love it.
WELL, I OWN A B7 AUDI A4 3.2 S-LINE, AND ALSO LOVE IT! WITH ONLY 100,000 KILOMETERS!!
@@RetroCarReviews Well done. My Audi from 2002 has 141 500 km.
NOT BAD MILEAGE! IS IT A CANADIAN CAR LIKE MINE, OR DO YOU LIVE IN EUROPE?

WOAH even in the 2000s Audi had this full-time AWD?? Damn I really need to get one myself. Not a fan of the clutch systems.

Volvo S60 adn bmw m4 🔥
Volvo outlived the Audi to the day, both great cars tough.
@@bielmelichartes2167 the Volvo P2 platform was from 97 or 98 up until all the way 2016...
@@bielmelichartes2167 yeah man and they build rocksolid XC90 on it as well... I own one it has 485.000 km on LPG and still going strong.
A 2.4L turbocharged engine should have more torque than a naturally aspirated 3.0L engine.
its a very small turbo and it trimmed down asf
The volvo look 10 times better!
