I and still drive this exact car. My late grandfather bought it in '92 and kept it in a heated garage all winter (kept the Canadian salt off it) till 2010 when I inherited it. All things considered its in great condition (minus the AC, a little fender rust, and a couple other small bells/whistles). I winter drive it now but storing it in a garage keeps the sun off it. It is a little heavy and "plows" on tight corners (used to be worse before I replaced the shocks/struts) but its a quiet and comfortable ride with the leather seats back and your butt sunk low and the tilt steering almost rubbing your knees :D It has lots of sentimental value to me as I used to ride shotgun as a young teenager back in the day.

The W220 marked the end of german reliability, quality and enduring workmanship 😢.

My wife had one of those, although an XLT in a brighter shade of red. Even was a 5 spped stick and averaged about 20 mpg. Was a pretty good vehicle.

I would have liked to see a 400E or equivalent as a 4Litre inline six cylinder. Too bad that back in the 1990s, there were no six or eight speed automatic transmissions. Would have hit 30mpg or better.

Ive got this Car and yet I watch this Video over and over again (for fun) as I cant describe... (not in this comment section) just how funny it is to hear about of its "shortcomings" (which get described in the second half of the clip) Because really, in reality, for real; in today's car scene (and Ive lowerd mines with Lowring Links and it sits on Polished Rotiform CCVs) the car is an absolute SMASH! Read this properly again: "A SMASH!" In the show scene the response from the people them is unbelievable, (and they are only seeing it parked up, my stance is killer), and in the streets though, it's seldom that I have to bow down to nothing! That has to be a really high end something V12, driven even harder, by someone far darker than me. Man...Dudes... please take my testimony to heart: This car is Super Smash!

I had a 1990 Integra blue metallic 5-speed and my wife had a 1998 silver 5-speed with a sunroof. We were a two Integra family.

One of the all time best car mottos, "the best or nothing". Sadly new Mercedes Benz's don't meet that standard.

I never knew that velour seats were a no cost option. I've never seen a 1986-1989 W or C 124 car with velour seats. From 1990, i am sure it wasn't offered as Mercedes Benz strictly went all leather at that price point.

I miss that van, it was traded in 2010... It was my grandmother's van before she passed and it was given to my mother. she had a 1996 Mercury Red villager GS. That was the beginning of my driving in 2008 driving and doing errands back and forth up and down the street for the family.

My sister and brother-in-law had a Mercury Villager. It was very fancy. I remember it having all leather seating and a theater surround sound system.

The post-90s Hyundais were like the new chapter for the Korean car brand in North America and Europe, because they had to revamp their strategy from selling poorly built cars for profit to sell something with better built quality and more spare parts availability. Still, there were cases of Hyundai owners getting lemon cars (mind you this was before GDI engine scandals appeared from 2013 onwards, which meant that the faulty Hyundai engines during 2000-2012 were using multi-point injection system). But nonetheless, the majority of Hyundai owners in late 90s until 2012 were fairly satisfied with their vehicles.

3 years ago, i fell completely in love with this car, its not a simple piece of metal, its more, it has soul and face, it has emotions, currently im 16, and i still dont want any other than this and the "R" version. Completely loving it, it keeps bringing me smile everytime i see it on the road, hoping its gonna be my first car, gonna take good care of it, gonna love it. Id say im in a long term realitionship with this car😅

I owned the wagon. This generation had very good feel. It was a quality vehicle. I'm not the sort of person who likes old tech out of nostalgia.
