The Olds wasn't supposed to be the 2 Gen Aurora, it was supposed to be rwd. Buick, Olds and Holden was supposed to get the Sigma platform (the 1st gen CTS, STS) , Cadillac had a fit and GM caved in hence the still capable but fwd final Aurora and a leading factor in Olds cancellation...

My grandpa has this car, bought it new, other than 4 engine rebuilds it runs fine…. That’s all I can say abt it
