SO basically the in world explanation for why you can't wear more than one magic ring usually boils down to limitations of your body and magical interactions.
In terms of magical interactions an ice ring next to a fire ring on the adjacent finger might do anything from cancel out to explode taking your arm with it.
As for limitations, channeling the energies of magical artifacts is generally quite taxing and as such much be connected to major magical pathways of the body with no competition. A circlet on the head is fine but not earings too. The body isbig enough to take magical plate armor as well as a pendant, but if you start trying to ad nipple rings you'll be lucky if your limbs are still sitting in the pile of ash left over when the mana fields obliterate your core.
Better quality items as well as higher levels of magical control can certainly shift this, but there is certainly an issue of magical strain even then, and most of the time both of those are going into storing greater wells of sheer magical blasting as opposed to lower level versatility.
@@ActuatedGear Sooo, add in some sort of ability to where more than one, mabey your skill is high and can withstand more, or just don't let fire and ice touch each other but can and must be on the other hand.

Would you rather have one ring of meteor swarm or two rings of lvl 5 fireball? If the level 5 wizard tries to use the meteor swarm ring his arm will explode and the spell will not fire.
This is not something for which you get a simple feat or ability. These are the natural and inbuilt limitations of one's magical construction. GODS can wear multiple rings and most of them still only have one on each hand at most.
A TIMELORD who has multiple hearts and can regenerate from death could reasonably wear two rings on each hand for about an hour of use and would then need to regenerate. We just crossed magic with sci-magify, but these rules are in stone that was set before the gods themselves.
There are "exceptions"... but they have to be earned. The infinity gauntlet is an incredibly powerful magical device used to limit the power of the stones and allow one person to shape all of reality for one wish. It's power is not the five separate abilities but rather the combination of them for the ability "Wish" and most people attempting to use it would DIE.
An interesting similar item is the "Ten Rings" weapon as used by the Mandarin and Shang Chi. 10 rings are in fact 10/12 of the pieces of a more powerful artifact and can only be used by one who is already superhuman. Further they have split between them, and thus the arms five powers which are mostly enhancements of the individual wielding them and are in fact one of those higher quality artifacts as I mentioned above. Further the individual wields no other weapons or artifacts and the ancients evil trapped within can be constructed as most of the source of the power even for controlling it as such rather than the user.
All this means that if you want "extra rings" then flavoring them as monk powerups to give him "flight" and ki blasts (which are standard D&D monk abilities effectively) or want to give A "g"OD the power of a WISH spell in a world that's capped at level 8 magic then SURE you can cram together lesser artifacts on one hand and when any mortal of lesser vitality tries to use it they go down like a sack of burnt potatoes.
Cramming multiple blasty fingers on one hand is still out of the question.

Legendary item stats in Diablo 4: every Friday and Monday, if it's night, there's a 4% chance of casting a fireball if you hit an undead with a bow, but you can't shoot the bow, you have to actually hit the undead WITH the bow (for Barbarian only)

My first legendary was a chest piece for my bonemommy that made the blood escape thing autocast corpse explosion. I already used blighted corpse explosion so now I have a way to make even more booms. It's pretty sick.
