Pre-sequel was fun but felt more like dlc than a stand alone game. The new VHs were fun and the story was nice to see Jack's past. But sadly the end game and dlc sucked. Not worth 60 but I think 20-30 would've fit better price for the game no added dlc to it.
I’ll post this every time someone talks about BL characters, one of the most heartfelt and honest people/best role models in the universe is mister torgue, always speaks his mind, built a business from the ground up with a goal to give folk power over dangerous explosives then sold it for a pittance because he didn’t need or want the money, loves his grandmother! And importantly he doesn’t care about preconceived notions of what he should do when he wants to join his friends for a good time
Honestly I'm extremely sad torgue wasn't part of the main story of borderlands 3. His interactions with the main cast made literally every character more deeply written. Torgue brings out the best in their writing I think.

I like Borderlands 3 a lot, and it may be my favorite, but if they made a complete remaster of borderlands 2 with borderlands 3 graphics and mechanics, I'd drop my everything for it.

Borderland 2's charm was the characters, the side quests, the stupid enemies, not the story. You take out the main element then take out the whole loot shooter element you end up with that. Hell the other series they did followed the same premise, take out action replace it with story telling, who the hell cares about story in Minecraft? They should've stuck with Sam and Max, Strong Bad and Wallace and Gromit because then replacing the action part of the franchise makes sense

He relies on getting perfect items with the perfect anoint while the other characters can do millions with some ok items. The best example I have if this is my Moze build. It deals 21 million damage for every iron bear shot and it has no good anoints

Tiny Tina D&D DLC kinda matters for the storytelling, characters and the jokes (4th wall breaking/DyD tropes). It's gameplay and guns are literally the same of the main Game, enemies aside that have some gimmicks

Like Lily leaving the 14 year old girl who hasn't done anything correct for the most part in charge. I don't know the story fully but to me that's a major turnoff for the game
I remember playing as Zer0 with my friend in BL2. His level was way higher than mine and that generally was a bummer but we kept playing because it was funny trying to survive like that. I only distracted enemies and debuffed them by kunais. We splitted up some mission objectives to finish them faster. In one mission we had to go inside different facilities and turn some valves. While he was gunning his way through I Solid Snaked my way in by cloaking from cover to cover and then I ran like hell after turning the valves.

@@volk2359 all of the new characters are absolutely the worst, and some characters from previous games felt off. And most of the new characters aren't even needed except maybe clay that one time. I'm hopeful for wonderlands they don't stick with the skag pile that is the writing.
Shame Typhon is horrifically tied to the two worst characters in Borderlands history. Tina's in the game for like ten minutes. (Vanilla game, I haven't played DLC so if she's in there, don't spoil.)

No parts of the story are good. The Calypsos are cringe af and the story makes and breaks its own rules as it goes. There are some good characters but at no point was the story ever properly coherent.
You actually just got me back into borderlands. I haven't played it in a while and the games just kinda sat in my steam library. Now a week has passed of me playing and I'm installing borderlands 3! Thank you for getting me back into this amazing game series :)
I loved BL3, but I had 3 major gripes with the game that brought down the whole experience. 1) loot from bosses is basically the same as loot from enemies, which discourages raids and encourages arena grinding (and it’s quite a shame because the bosses for the first time feel fair and fun, where you can reliably beat any boss with any build if you master the patterns and game mechanics instead of abusing a niche build tailored specifically for that encounter) 2) a LOT of the dialogue was cringy as fuck to the point where I got second-hand embarrassment (thankfully I haven’t found the playable characters to be like this and they’re all really likable) 3) Ava. I’ve considered straight-up abandoning the campaign just because of Ava, but sadly you can’t do that if you want to visit all the worlds
BL3: I have a BAZILLION GUNS, HALF A MILLION OF EM LEGENDARY! Me: Yeah would be nice to see more than about 8 - 12 weapons that actually are usefull for endgame (Mayhem) grind, thank you.
There's actually a lot more :P BL3 has a lot more endgame viable weapons than you think. All comes down to how you play with a character and it's builds to make a weapon shine or not, as a classical RPG. There's a lot of weapons that doesn't work with some builds but are very good with others
Kill me for this but borderlands always has the best DLC: 1: tiny Tina’s assault on dragon keep 2: psycho krieg fantastic flusterkluck 3: literally any dev from BL2
I feel like I am missing something. A lot of the reviews I have seen for Borderlands 3 are praising it, saying how fun it is. But when I played it, the game felt. . . ok. Like, I enjoyed the moment to moment combat, I enjoy the classes (Zane main), I enjoy the craziness of the guns this time around. But at the same time, I am forcing myself to play, to get through the main missions and passing over the side quests because they feel. . . off to me
I know how you feel. This game is nothing close to being as good as bl2 and 1. Yeah getting legendarys is fun but with bl3 spoon feeding you them there's no satisfaction in getting a legendary as it was in the past borderlands games. The story...yeah we don't talk about that
aaaah this brings me back to borderlands 2 when me and my brother was stuck on a boss and everytime both of us died the boss restarted so for 1 hour we just yelled at eachother to stay alive and then we found out a softlock on the boss where it couldnt get to us. "games are suposed to be fun, not impossible." (put too many a's on a letter lol)
I feel like there is 2 things wrong with this: 1: Ava 2: they forgotten BL the PS except for the characters (kinda) At least the gun play is better I feel like I'll play longer sense it's more fun to shot guns
They had interesting places to go in the writing with the endings of Tales and Pre-Sequel, but they decided to do their own thing, and now we have the actual worst child character in everything ever.

Shame Typhon is horrifically tied to the two worst characters in Borderlands history. Tina's in the game for like ten minutes. (Vanilla game, I haven't played DLC so if she's in there, don't spoil.)

It's good... Up until Ava is introduced. Then it's a downwards spiral
No parts of the story are good. The Calypsos are cringe af and the story makes and breaks its own rules as it goes. There are some good characters but at no point was the story ever properly coherent.

I loved BL3, but I had 3 major gripes with the game that brought down the whole experience.
1) loot from bosses is basically the same as loot from enemies, which discourages raids and encourages arena grinding (and it’s quite a shame because the bosses for the first time feel fair and fun, where you can reliably beat any boss with any build if you master the patterns and game mechanics instead of abusing a niche build tailored specifically for that encounter)
2) a LOT of the dialogue was cringy as fuck to the point where I got second-hand embarrassment (thankfully I haven’t found the playable characters to be like this and they’re all really likable)
3) Ava. I’ve considered straight-up abandoning the campaign just because of Ava, but sadly you can’t do that if you want to visit all the worlds

BL3 has a lot more endgame viable weapons than you think. All comes down to how you play with a character and it's builds to make a weapon shine or not, as a classical RPG. There's a lot of weapons that doesn't work with some builds but are very good with others

I feel like I am missing something.
A lot of the reviews I have seen for Borderlands 3 are praising it, saying how fun it is. But when I played it, the game felt. . . ok. Like, I enjoyed the moment to moment combat, I enjoy the classes (Zane main), I enjoy the craziness of the guns this time around. But at the same time, I am forcing myself to play, to get through the main missions and passing over the side quests because they feel. . . off to me

I know how you feel. This game is nothing close to being as good as bl2 and 1. Yeah getting legendarys is fun but with bl3 spoon feeding you them there's no satisfaction in getting a legendary as it was in the past borderlands games. The story...yeah we don't talk about that
aaaah this brings me back to borderlands 2 when me and my brother was stuck on a boss and everytime both of us died the boss restarted so for 1 hour we just yelled at eachother to stay alive and then we found out a softlock on the boss where it couldnt get to us. "games are suposed to be fun, not impossible." (put too many a's on a letter lol)

They had interesting places to go in the writing with the endings of Tales and Pre-Sequel, but they decided to do their own thing, and now we have the actual worst child character in everything ever.
