    I'm going to be making these for my sons birthday cake, I was wondering when it is cooling down do you keep mixing it up to get that consistency we saw or do u leave it and then make it go like that before moulding? Would really appreciate a reply 🙏 video is awesome btw!

    • @CakesbyKoko
      @CakesbyKoko  2 года назад +3

      Hi and thanks for watching! I did not mix it while it was cooling down. Once it was semi dry and mouldable, as I started taking it out of the bowl it already started having a rough consistency that helped. I'd say just don't let it get too hard before you start shaping the rocks. All the best for your son's birthday and hope it goes amazingly! 🎉

    • @CakesbyKoko
      @CakesbyKoko  3 года назад +4

      Firstly thanks for watching! ❤️ it should last as long as the chocolate you use lasts. I ended up using some of mine about 4 months later (after storing it in the fridge) and it tasted the same as the day I made it. Hope this helps!

    Hello, I am a big fan of you from Korea!
    Is adding a cookie in the recipe a must-do? I would like to mold the shape when semi-dried after adding the yellow-coloring to the white chocolate. Would it be possible?

    • @CakesbyKoko
      @CakesbyKoko  4 года назад

      정 웜 a warm Hi! I’m so glad you’re enjoying my video 😊 you can leave out the cookie, I added it to add some texture, your rocks will be smoother with just the coloring but they should turn out great!

    Do your really need to use white chocolate or can it be different?
    Edit: in 2:44 did you mix all 4 bowls in 1 or kept them separate? And can you use Oreo’s for the cookies?

    • @CakesbyKoko
      @CakesbyKoko  3 года назад +4

      Hi thank you for watching! ❤️
      I used white chocolate for this recipe I don’t think anything else would be work out the same. You could probably make them out of fondant or royal icing but that would be a different recipe.
      I kept the 4 bowls separate and made them separately then mixed all the rocks together after they were solid.

    is the chocolate tempered or do you wanna heat it up past its tempering state? great video! looks so good!!

    • @CakesbyKoko
      @CakesbyKoko  4 года назад +2

      Hi, tempering isn’t necessary here since it doesn’t matter if we have a glossy finish or not, the rocks are rough. Thank you for watching!

  • @maryespocia8435
    @maryespocia8435 4 года назад +3

    Hello. They really look like rocks. It's so exciting to make them.😊 I wanna try them too.
    Although how did you make it dry? Is it by letting them sit on the table for many minutes? How many minutes will it dry?
    I don't have milk chocolate but I have alternatives for that - condensed milk/chocolate milk or condensed milk and chocolate syrup, will that be fine?

    • @CakesbyKoko
      @CakesbyKoko  4 года назад +3

      Hi thanks for watching! 🍰💕 it dries really quickly, within about 10 minutes the chocolate starts hardening. You can even put it in the fridge to start hardening faster. I don’t think condensed milk or chocolate milk will work on its own, it won’t harden, but maybe if you add in some powdered sugar it will become more like a dough that you can work with! It will be really really sweet though

    • @maryespocia8435
      @maryespocia8435 4 года назад

      Cakes by Koko So as long there's a powder ingredient in it, it would be fine?
      If so, then I'm thinking I'm gonna use some chocolate powder and milk. What do you think?

    • @CakesbyKoko

      Hi there, no you don't. They harden separately to make different coloured stones. It gives it a nice natural effect. Thanks for watching! 💞 (I just mixed all the finished stones together in one bowl at the end)
