i love all those 3 easy ways realistic grass from you, its short vdo but so clear and so easy to understand, so useful me and my daughter are love love your vdo, thank you so much, we are subscribed :)
Hi Michele use the video as a guide to the amounts. It doesn't matter too much which brand you use the key thing is the combination of the different colours. I use magic Colours gel pastes: garden green, lemon yellow and chocolate brown to colour my paste. The addition of yellow and brown in different quantities to the green will give you slightly different hues so add until you like it. More brown will age the grass and more yellow will make it more vibrant and "fresh" looking.
If I want to cover a cake in any of this design should I cover the cake first before I add the effect. Or should I create the effect then cover the cake in it?.🙏
It depends on the size of your cake and the effect you choose. For the textured ones I would do it off the cake first and then attach to the cake, touching up any of the texture once the paste is in place. I would airbrush/ dust directly on the cake though. Hope that makes sense!
Hi - I would clean my brushes in boiling hot water. If required I would use a drop of washing up liquid to clean the bristles and then make sure the soap is thoroughly rinsed with the hot water. Allow to air dry fully or use a har dryer to help speed up the process :)
Very good techniques.....can you tell me how I can make my fondant soft?..I bought packed Roll fondant (pack of 4)..different colors..but its too hard...how i can make them soft to work with them easily
Hi Neeraj...working the fondant with the heat of your hands will make it more supple. However if it is very hard to handle out of the packet you could try 10 seconds in the microwave on a low heat as this can help. Be sure to go low and slow though as over heating it too quickly can burn and spoil it.
