- Hey guys, since a lot of people ask me how I do my chunks, here's a detailed video.

i been eating cornstarch for years and it's honestly so good but eating a large amount constantly like everyday isn't good. one of my family members died bc he ate too much be careful guys

@@towel1636 Because raw cornstarch is not meant to be consumed in large amounts. I have PICA as well. You can eat it when it’s cooked in something, like a recipe, but not raw.
@@towel1636 raw corn starch is a thickener, so add it to water, it thickens, eat it, there’s saliva and liquids in ur mouth/body, it thickens. It basically clogs u lmao

Honey, your body is lacking in vitamins and minerals, hence the PICA craving...PLEASE visit a doctor so that u can get bloodwork done and they can inform u of what supplements are needed..not a healthy habit and the affects can be life threatening..hope this helps u make better choices, take better care🙏🏾

Right , my niece was doing the whole baby power and ice thing I said girl you lost your mind she told me it was a strange cravings. She was a few mouth pregnant too I was like omg what is going on but yes I found out it's the PICA .
People in the comments are wild, it's cornstarch guys. The highest risk cornstarch has to your body is if you eat it raw, and she clearly bakes it. People with pica aren't stupid, and eating some cornstarch like this isn't going to kill you. It's just a big chunk of refined carbohydrates. Eating any excessive amounts of refined carbohydrates is inadvisable, not just cornstarch, and I know everyone typing in these comments aren't getting on people for eating pasta and potatoes. People eating this are aware that cornstarch is made of carbs, lmao. You can literally calculate the carbohydrates; it's 7g per tablespoon (2% of your recommended daily intake). The reason eating things like cornstarch is correlated with mineral deficiencies is because people who eat unusual amounts of cornstarch are people with pica, who have these deficiencies in the first place. Stop acting like yall know everything about a disorder bc 'my uncle ate cornstarch and died' or 'i read from other people that cornstarch is dangerous, so it must be!'. do your research.
Ivy, it's not the calories it's it's properties when it gets stuck in the digestive system. It's a thickener

@@ScribblebytesWorldwide some ppl just like the feeling, the crunch, and for some ppl they may have a nutritional deficiency, low iron or magnesium or something, even be anemic. Lots of times odd cravings for things like ice, clay, chalk, cornstarch, etc. may come from a lack of a certain mineral.

She has pica, which is a disorder that makes you crave thing like cornstarch or erasers and other inedible things. She eats cornstarch because she has low iron and simply craves it. Also many people ah e asked her how to make the chunks so basically her viewers asked for it.
@@penetrasean actually what they’re saying is true, I have family members with pica and it is caused by an deficiency. Pica does cause you to crave inedible things and people do consume these items. Yes there may be supplements and pills, but not everyone can handle an iron pill it makes them sick (I know I can’t) or they’re not comfortable taking supplements. What works for you may not work for others keep that in mind.
@@penetrasean before speaking I recommend looking into something doing research and knowing that others are different. I cannot take iron pills they make me literally vomit and other stomach issues so I eat food a lot of food that’s high in iron. But that’s not something everyone wants to do or is comfortable with.

This is interesting... not sure how I came across this though lol... I can't relate to her disorder but for what its worth when I was in elementary school I use to fantasize about eating chalkboard erasers 😆... Anyhow, for those looking to try this definitely read the comment section cause I had no idea that you don't swallow. For those of you that are iron deficient maybe try clay I'm sure the texture is similar and I'm no nutritionist, but I think clay is a far healthier option and you can most definitely swallow that. Bear in mind still, nothing in excess is ever good. Stay healthy and informed folks! I enjoyed your video 😁

@@josephandujar5941 you'd want to order food-grade bentonite clay. When I had stomach issues my mother made a porage using pure white clay (she got hers from a local health store). I hope that helps! 😁 Also, I'm just stating what my mother did for me, always do your research. Take care

My peeps used to eat powdered sugar straight from the box. And corn starch. And Salt. They had Sickle Cell and we're anemic i grew up believing only people suffering from Sickle Cell did this. And i learned in school it was a form of Pica derived from some sort of vitamin or nutrient deficiency-which coencided with my Sickle Cell belief

I've been eating corn starch for years and packing it... packing it spoonful at a time,,, it's not gonna pack it.. you literally gotta put it all together pack it together and put a knee in it of your body weight one time and then bake it let it cool or freeze if you want to...I like mine warn until they cool off by itself..
