    I drybrushed metallic acrylic on the inner frame of my MG Barbatos and it looks great, especially since the inner frame of that design is much more visible than on most mecha.

    Thank you Nico for the super helpful video! I just have a few questions as a handbrush newbie 😂:
    1. If I already used a gloss black primer, is it necessary to apply another gloss black base coat before the metallic paint?
    2. I have done some online research and found a technique of painting metallic base coat followed by another coat of transparent paint. I was very impressed at how the results of that technique looked on a rg sazabi for example. I suppose that is similar to the candied metallic paint steps, but for some reason the end result is less glossy and more flat, which I like. Just wondering if you have any other tips when it comes to this subject. Thanks again!

      1. No need. It’ll be useless and redundant if you do.
      2. Transparent paints can be hard to handpaint so just take your time with thin coats and thin it properly for less visible brushstrokes

    might be a silly question but primer is still a must right, even for this specific metallic paint. If so, is vallejo primer okay?

      @NicoSuratos  5 месяцев назад

      Yes, primer is much more important when you're handpainting. Vallejo primer is okay

    Hi Nico, do you think is it okay to brushed it with gloss topcoat if I don't have a glossy finish base coat color before painting the metallics?

    • @NicoSuratos
      @NicoSuratos  7 месяцев назад

      You can do black paint > gloss varnish > metallic

    so how to erase paint when u accidentally paint it outside the area u want?

    • @NicoSuratos
      @NicoSuratos  5 месяцев назад

      For water-based acrylics, water works most of the time. Only use thinner or alcohol if you really have to (it could potentially ruin/affect the base color)
