This video has everything! Very attractive kitbashing, a base that went from "hot garbage" to just hot🌶️, WAP glaze blending, a Promare reference, and of course an eye poppin' fantastic paint job. May your new boy shock and awe your opponents on the battlefield.
The base didn't go from hot garbage. That is pretty much how every NMM technique starts. It just takes layer and layer and layer to make it smooth like you see. People who've never done it don't understand.
I'm noticing a trend.... every time I stumble across some awesome kit basher/painter/builder/maker and I think man I need to sub i see a studson comment (love all your work btw). Do you have some master list to save us time? Who else do you know about that I should be watching but I'm not!?!
I’ve literally built my first gunpla kits in the last fortnight and come from a Warhammer/war gaming miniature painting background. So this video was perfect permission for me to just approach a Gunpla kit the same way I would a miniature sprue. Thanks for giving me the kick I need to figure out to just go Gun-ho and paint a Gundam and not feel guilty about not doing it “correctly”. Great vid.
I said it before and I'll say it again, I love how you blend your art styles across different mediums. A miniature paint style scaled up to a gunpla just looks gorgeous, excellent work!
I wish I could stomach the gouf custom any longer, and the deeper blues of Rambas gouf strike me more as a custom paint job, but I guess the gouf is just blue across all units?
the disconnection of witty meme humor + monotone logical personality + words like “bits” “stuffs” sounding like actual jargon is so entertaining to the point where I am disappointed in myself for not finding this channel sooner - I love this video so much it’s informative but also holds my attention with fun!

You're awesome!
Norris > Ramba Ral For painting orange on black, apply a thin layer of brown, then tan and go from there or give it a bone as well and then orange. It’s more than a simple grey airbrushing, but it’s a lot less than the 12-15 layers it’d take otherwise when you can’t just spray. Very nice job, striking and creative. I especially like the base.
