The wife analogy killed me, Austin gold!

Love the comparison. When your wife’s face looks like a decorators radio (or a watch with scratches all over) you know it’s seen some action

I'd love to see you go down that rabbit hole!
Maybe a livestream, but an Austin-only, sans-guest livestream, just indulging in these crazy details.
    Great video as always!

Would again like to credit RolliWorks, in California for the beautiful casework they did on my 16800(0) you pictured.

agreed austin. enough obsessing over whether a watch has been polished or not. if it's 30+ years old, it will have been, possibly several times. so long as it is not overpolished (and that would be evident), it's ok. and let's not forget dial and hands - which is where most of the value of a watch is !

as for bracelet with correct date code, and correct bezel insert, these are things that can be corrected afterwards. i alw need to factor in additional outlay for these, and they are getting rarer and dearer all the time. so for me, i always buy the dial and hands, then case, then the rest.

OMG, my wife has BOTH lower back tattoo AND piercings below the waist! Also, is it bad if the spring bar protrudes through the lug by about 4mm? Florida Jim’s Pawn said it was pristine! Kidding. Just for giggles. Great video. I never miss now. BTW I’m now an Oysterquartz hunter. Just bought a 2001

Good for you! Oysterquartz are really cool. I wish I had picked one up back when they were more affordable. Actually, there are half-dozen-models I could say that about!

Austin's Financial Advisor implores all to invest in Emerging Mullets.

Does not look polished. But check the serial number on the case very closely to make sure it's not a 44xxx. I recently came across a 16700 where the 44xxxx serial number was removed the original serial number reapplied.

Austin, ask NASA if they’ll let you use their equipment to evaluate the piece. That would be much easier than evaluating a loose wife.

Haha, waiting for all the guys' who have now discovered they have a loose edition of said woman, before they got their hands on them!
'Hey Austin, are you saying because my woman has tattoos' and piercings (especially below the waste) that she's a good time girl?' 🤣🤣
