  • Hello and I hope you are having a great day! Today I am stripping our kitchen towels, this is a labor-intensive process but it works! Some online resources offer a vinegar followed by a baking soda wash, I think it is based more on what you are looking to accomplish and how much time effort you want to invest. Maybe start with the vinegar/baking soda process and if it doesn’t cut it, move on to the other one. I stand behind how effective the long process is that I followed, but I would only do this for certain items, not my everyday clothes. For those I would go with the vinegar/baking soda method. I have been more intentional about adding washing soda to my wash cycle.
My current wash routine: I like using Molly’s Suds as my water softener/detergent booster and then cutting back a little on my laundry detergent, adding an extra rinse cycle. For full load this looks like, 1 scoop Molly’s in the drum, 1 portion detergent, cotton/normal wash, and an extra rinse.
Additional info: we have a water softener, but still have to adjust our softeness level throughout the year.
Here are some links I referenced in the video. The second one is a cloth diapering website but it is where I learned about the technique.

Question of the Day: Do have hard water and do you add washing additives to adjust?
I hope you have a great day and thank you for joining today! If you haven’t already it would mean so much to me if you liked the video and subscribe for more videos in the future!
