No kidding. Ive been cutting hair by myself with other video but this way is more easy way to do so. Ive tried this and it really worked. So much better. Thank you so much.
I tried other methods before. They all take forever. This is absolutely the easiest and quickest one and I got amazing results!!! The only thing I’ll say though - for folks with thick hair, I recommend parting the back into 3 sections each side instead of 2. Overall, highly recommend this video yay!!! 🎉🎉🎉
Thanks, I’m gonna do this! I have super long, thick hair and haven’t gotten it cut in forever. Leaving for vacation in 3 days and nobody can squeeze me in for a cut, I’m going for it! Lol wish me luck 😭
@@juelz4444 DONT DO IT! I hope you see this in time! 🤣 I also have thick hair and it didn’t work, I had to go to the salon to TRY and get it fixed, the girl instantly knew what I tried to do and she said she just fixed somebody else’s hair who did the same lmao She said it really only works if you have straight/thin hair…I’m still trying to grow out my uneven pieces 6 months later 🙃
@@nyceexo53I have really thick hair and this method works great for me! Maybe you messed up somehow? Didn’t angle it enough or something. Also you do have to go back in and touch up/thin it out. This is just a guide imo.
I never cut my hair before only my bangs but this time I tried it coz I was so desperate to have layers on my hair. Its nice it saved me 50 dollars trips to the salon . Thank you ❤
I just tried this lmao. I really just want to trim and give some layers at the front. And it did so well. I can't stand hair salons anymore and have been experimenting wt trimming n light layers for awhile now. This works just fine. Don't cut too much if you're afraid. Go lightly.
Start by only cutting a couple of inches, you can always go shorter but not stick bits back on.. When you cut the front pull it done close to your face (not outwards) and remember it will spring up when not pulled,
As a hair stylist I love this I've been doing my hair for since 2020 when I went to school for hair LOL I do anything from colored hair cuts myself lately I've literally been struggling I've let my hair grow like past my bra strap and I've really been struggling to cut it without losing my length and this video is so helpful because I want to keep length but create layers and one thing that they do not take you in cosmetology schools how to cut your own hair❤❤❤
Glad it turned out for you because you sectioned the back correctly and probably did a blend between all the one inch cuts. Only thing is we wouldn’t get the same results because we don’t see all the steps. This video is very misleading.
Yes. It looks great. But I have straight hair and want something that doesnt need to be styled to look good. Does somebody has a solution for getting more volume with straight long hair?
If your instinct is to cut it tho, be brave, you will rock it 💜 plus it will always grow back if you aren't thrilled (but it sounds like subconsciously you want a change)
My hair is to my but. I wonder if this would work if I just didn't cut as much off. Then later go in and cut the front w some face framing layers. 🤔 should I try it. I'm scared 😬 way easier than all the other videos where I'm like wait what did you say?lol.
Ok I just tried this and leeeet me tell you girl it came out really good! I sections off littler pieces throughout the process and did a “twist n cut” and it added so many more layers throughout and totally took off a lot of spit ends. Thank so much for the motivation to even cut my hair. It feels soo much lighter now ❤❤❤😊
It seems the whole cut is not shown properly. After the front cut, for the side cuts the, it looks like the recording is stopped and then the cut is shown.
I guess I’m the only one who doesn’t understand the side/bk directions? Where did all the shorter hair come from? Maybe she already had layers or did I miss a step? What if your hair is near your butt and all the same length? What do you mean they meet and go one inch further?? Sorry, I just can’t see what she’s doing. Apparently Im missing the ability to turn words into actions which explains why I freeze up when it comes to anything creative.
What if I want longer layers? Do I just pull it out to the side more instead of so high up? I already have short hair and just need like an inch cut off of damage. It's just past my shoulders and I am dying to cut the rest of the damage off, but I'm scared and want to do it correctly. 😅
The EASIEST way to get layers in a DIY haircut, you put all your hair in one ponytail at the crown of your head, cut the amount you want to get rid of & once you are done, let your hair out of the ponytail, comb & style & you have an absolutely awesome layered haircut!!!💜

Can you do it wet?!
@user-yl9mn7fk1z I wouldn't recommend it bc when it drys up it'll shrink and become shorter but I'm not 100% sure
@@JessicaGoodson-c7t yes, you can absolutely cut it wet!
@@frmheadtotoe did you curl your hair at the last or just blow dry??

😊 thank you
I just did and it’s awesome 👏👏👏😂😂😂
Worked great!!!! Thank you!!!
What's so hard about it?
@@oneitalia2312it’s not hard but this kind of haircut is only suitable for people with dense hair otherwise it’ll look extremely choppy

Well done, I'm definitely going to try this technique

it worked !! my hair looks so beautiful now, thank you 🤍
U did a great job.🌷 looks nice. Thanks for Sharing .🌙
these haircuts only look good when styled and curled. straight it looks horribly thin and choppy 🥴
Actually, if you straighten it with a flat iron, it looks cutting edge.
Works great! Thank you ❤
Hey thank you so much for this! My daughter did this cut on my hair. Looks so good. We were shocked! Lol Saved me a few bucks ❤️🇨🇦ty
Y’all I wanna do it but I know it’s not gonna end well and I got school in the morning but ima do it anyways…
This came out great! Thank you

I worked 😬💖 I just save myself some money I’m going to continue doing this I love it 💖
I just did this now. Thank you it's beautiful.
This was much easier than how I normally cut my hair. Thank you!
N cutting my hair and my baby girl's hair. I just bend over and cut straight. The layers depends on the angle of your bend.
Yes. It looks great. But I have straight hair and want something that doesnt need to be styled to look good. Does somebody has a solution for getting more volume with straight long hair?
Amazing work...I've just tried...turns out Amazing✨️
Today i tried to cut my hair via this method and it really works.❤
Is it looks good on curly hair?
Yes.
seeing all that hair cut has me screaming as a person that’s attached to their hair’s length, i love the new look! good job :)

You didn’t even use hair cutting scissors 😭
How do you style it? Can we get a video on that?
You let all that hair fall over your mom's beautiful chair
Are you cutting straight or at an angle?
Pls do again. Show us. Sides and back of your head. And after cut. Take off ponytail and show us natural cuts. Before blowout

What did it look like to start with though?
All these tutorials and how much they’re cutting off gives me anxiety. I wish I could do it
Hmm not sure your layers are very even in the front?
No. No. No.

If I had such a hair I will not cut to layers is it already thick and healthy
No waaaay! Why this looks so pretty?!? 🥲😍
Cuz she jumpcut the video to after having curled it off-cam lol 0:51
This looks easy af but actually stressing the f outta me😂😂😂😂
can you also do it with middle long hair? like shoulder length hair?
Yes. My hair is about two inches past my shoulders and is naturally curly. It totally works. I did have my daughter help me be my eyes in the back.
It seems the whole cut is not shown properly. After the front cut, for the side cuts the, it looks like the recording is stopped and then the cut is shown.
Don’t worry, you can find the full-length tutorial on my RUclips channel page! 👍
Only if i had enough hair to devide in 3 sections 😢....
you need to explain this slowly pls

I tried this today. Have been thinking of cutting my hair since few days. And it worked beautifully! And so much easier. Thanks a lot!❤
I told my mom that I wanted to get this haircut and I'm so nervous should I do it? 😭
Does it work for wavy hair?

They always curl their hair for the reveal so you never get to see what the cut actually looks like with straight hair.
She showed it before she curled, Fam.
Instatly she moved. It is very difficult to judge the final results in the hair w/o curls

First Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 .. and 2 nd I'm bout to do this now. 🤞

Hey! Are looking too beautiful❤
I always wanted layered hair cuz I have long straight hair but I could never bring myself to it I would do smt wrong-
That ponytail should be between your eyebrows not your forehead..according to Brad Mondo..
My hair is too thin to even make enough sections.... getting old sucks!!
i like it, i did too
So choppy looking.
I did this a while ago and it came out pretty BUT I cut way to much off so my hair was above my but then to little under my shoulders hehe
I ruined my hair following this tutorial. long hair folks! stay away from this.😅😭
I Have Shoulder Length ,Not As long Can You Show With Shorter Thank a
Don’t try this first of all your hair needs to
Be wet when your doing layer haircuts that does not look professionally
I saved 80 dollars !
Tried it ❤so beautiful except I was nervous to cut the last back half lol but imma do it
Only one inch further is enough for the section two pieces?😅 you did two times for each.
This method gives you super uneven cut, only for very wavy hair
I am crying right now because I got the same haircut from a hairdresser by the mistake.
Where is the RUclips tutorial, could not find it. Link please
I didn't understand you should make long video and should how slowly
The hardest part was dividing my hair!
