Your comparison for Gigasword (platforming like Shovel Knight, puzzles like Zelda, exploration like Metroid) reminded me a lot of Cathedral. This is mostly because it's the only metroidvania I've seen with Zelda-style dungeons while also fixing the biggest issue with Zelda-style bosses whose weakness is either the dungeon item or a giant glowing eyeball that can only be hit using the dungeon item.
It's also one of the best metroidvanias I've ever played on top of being the least known metroidvania I've every played, so I highly recommend checking it out. You might get some good ideas for Gigasword from there.
I've been meaning to check that game out! That's cool to hear that it has a lot in common with Zelda, perhaps I'll make an episode about it once I've played it

When you reach out to streamers and youtubers do you tell them to put your kickstarter link in the video or do just tell them to play the game? and why so?
I don't think I personally asked them to include the link in their videos, but it's not a bad idea! I think most people ended up doing it out of kindness anyway
How did you make your animated gifs look nice on the Kickstarter page? With me, most colours disappear once I upload them. It adds a crappy compression.
Kickstarter can be weird with how it displays gifs in preview mode. Usually everything works better once you launch the page. In terms of the gifs themselves, I used ScreenToGif to create them, which has always worked great!

I haven't removed any episodes, so it must have been a different channel? I kind of talk about stealth in the Heat Signature video though!
I think you should reach out to journalists and publications, not just RUclipsrs and RUclips and Twitch streamers. You should send press releases of your game to them. You should also promote your game on Discord. Heck, you should start your own Discord server.
So no updates on the game, or did you take the money and run?
I've been posting regular updates on Twitter, Discord, and Kickstarter; it's just the RUclips channel that's been quiet, as I've had no time to make videos

I expected you to answer the question: how did you go from 20k to 45k in the last week of the kickstarter?
Traffic will typically pick back up as the campaign starts to end. A lot of people "followed" the campaign on Kickstarter, meaning that they were sent an email notification when the 48 hour mark was hit. Because of this, and because of a last-minute urgency-inducing marketing push, AND because some people upgraded their pledges, the goal was hit right at the end! This actually happens pretty often on Kickstarter fron what I've seen.

I'm still very hard at work on it! I plan to make another youtube video about it sometime in the coming weeks, but if you'd like to stay updated, I've been posting mostly on both Twitter and Discord lately!
