Now for you not danish speaking people i'm going to translate the danish part. Interviewer: And now over to you Viggo. Can you tell me about your part in the project. i have just been told by the director that it was a big help to get Norse mythology involved in the movie. Viggo: Well i had not read the books, i did't know about the job, i did't know what they expected of me. But then i read the books in New Zealand and on the plane i could recognize the elements of Norse mythology. Tolkien have stolen and also Irish mythology, and then i thought this is kind of fun. It is't that often that you get allowed to be in a viking movie. It was fun to be a part of. Interviewer: Can we also manage to to just get a few words about your character who is pretty important in the books Viggo: It's a long story for him i don't see it like three movies it just a long story for him. He is a bit unsure in the beginning, but he grow throw the three tales he is not a very strong or clever man to begin with, but he grow slowly and bloom like the rest of the group that was what i most liked it was a good team and i have to that this probably.... It is not going to happen again.
My pleasure i kind feel like that i had to do it. Just because i of the fact that i could do it and because that i hate it myself then i don't understand what they are saying in interviews
I understand what you mean. And I feel it was thoughtful of you to take the time to do so. Viggo Mortensen is a very interesting man; well spoken, intelligent, and it was nice to know what he said!
@pinkmeercatpink He is born in USA where his mother comes from. But his dad is from Demnark and Viggo has lived there too, that's why he speaks Danish :)
@santerlund i think for viggo, speaking English makes him sound gruffy sexy and down to earth in a confident grounded way but when he speaks Danish he sounds much more humble and insecure.
I may talk fluent Swedish and English, basic Japanese and minor French and even less Spanish(only words). But Danish sounds strange for some weird reason. I understand bits and pieces, but it is bad sound and I would probably understand more if I listened and were there ;3 Amazing actors! Nice humor and all over awesome! X3
Three of the greatest actors in the world on the same interview...amazing.
I love the fact that they ask Viggo the Questions in danish!
Sean is so cute!
I was lucky enough to meet John Rhys-Davies in Manchester :) lovely guy
i wish there were more interviews with these three...
