I have read and re-read the books about 7-8 times now. I could name 20 things wrong with this series from just the first episode. Disney has done what Disney does. Jack Barak was not even introduced until the 2nd book. And Matthew's assistant in the first book was a big part of the plot.
I'm an old Shardlake fan but if the tv production isn't a lot better that this studio interview, I shall not be watching. The short video on offer above is pretty dire and i have a shinking feeling before it appears on screen. Oh dear. Screwed by Hollywood ?
I'll be watching it, but not until I've finished tombland (currently reading lamentations. The new guy doesn't look like my vision of MS, I don't want him in my mind until I've read book 7). Sadly, after 7, there will be no more from CJ Sansom.
Watched about ten minutes. Terrible adaptation! Wooden acting and DEI gone mad as per usual with Disney!! Matthew is all wrong seems bitter and and angry compared to the books.
