This one car from maruti is an absolute piece of craft! What a car🔥😍
I bought grand vitara hybrid 4 months ago and i thought it would be a good idea to share my experience. I drive during peak office hours in Hyderabad and i get a mileage of 23-24 in extreme city traffic. During weekends i go on long drives in ORR (outer ring road) and manage to get a mileage of 28-30 if i stay between 60-80 km per hour. But i go beyond 80, mileage comes down to 25-26.
I have cruised at speed between 120-140 in ORR and the ride was smooth and didn't feel any sort of jerk or vibration at any point.
I feel roof top window is unnecessary in hot whether of Hyderabad and i haven't used that feature really (strictly my personal opinion).
Also did a long drive alone from Hyderabad to Thrissur and vice versa. Ride was super smooth and didn't feel even a bit of fatigue. Comfort is top notch.
After kizashi and pre-facelift ignis, this is the 3rd suzuki which i really loved. It looks larger than creta and other cars in this segment and the interiors looks better compared to taigun and creta. Still the best interior is in the mg astor.

I feel this is the best stop gap going from a ICE to an EV. Feels like the best of both worlds. The efficiency of an EV with the peace of mind of being able to fill petrol and not have that range anxiety.

U people speaking about all technical aspects, especially engine side. Great job !
I happened to book hyryder a month ago, only got the chance to experience the physicality of the car just recently. It was a good looking car but what let me down were the interior quality, for example, 1. the ac vents had really poor knobs and felt like it could break easily (felt like feather touch, pun intended), 2. the plastics used were flimsy especially the ones on the doors, 3. the roofing material felt so cheap and quickly degrading and finally the 4. doors felt so light giving me an easily breakable vibe. Comparing this with the equally priced rivals the above factors feels like a huge let down.
Hoping a reply from your side as I have short listed 1. hyryder, 2. city hybrid 3. Seltos/creta. My priority is efficiency and reliability, had fixed to buy Hyryder but now I’m confused on Hyryder or City hybrid due to the above reasons.

The approach and departure angles dont seem promising... But like you mentioned it is just an occational off roader. Becoz i remember s-cross often suvish, but major owners face issues of hitting the front under belly of bumpers due to long overhang....

Also, it appears to me that GV will be just an ‘Economy SUV’ when the upgraded Creta and Seltos comes with advanced features like ADAS and other connectivity features.
ADAS is for driving impaired people 😂🤣
I think AWD is the most needed feature than ADAS in this segment..

I booked a Toyota Hyryder but I was in a hurry to get a car in urgency. So I took Kia seltos IVT. Grand Vitara seems more appealing.

@@warlxrd5317 actually the opposite. It's a flat log profile. Saturation and contrast is very low to preserve details in the highlights and shadows to give a higher dynamic range. When they cut from this flat profile to their talking shots, it feels very "contrasty"

Battery technology will take years to get stabilise , its just like how smartphones evolved , things will evolve very fast . But is it worth buying it in the first phase !!!!! Cause it will loose its charm in a short span of time but thsts not the case of ICE

കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം Hyryder ടെസ്റ്റ്‌ ഡ്രൈവ് ചെയ്തു... ഒട്ടും ഇഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടില്ല. 20+ ലക്ഷം കൊടുത്തു വാങ്ങുന്ന ഒരു വണ്ടിയുടെ Refinement ഇല്ല. Engine കൂടെ കൂടെ ഓൺ ആകുന്നുണ്ട് ഓൺ ആകുന്ന ടൈംമിൽ നല്ല മുരൾച്ച കേൾക്കുന്നുണ്ട് പിന്നെ cvt യുടെ rubberband എഫക്ട് നല്ല പോലെ ഉണ്ട്. ഹൈ സ്പീഡ് കോർണറിങ്ങിൽ നല്ല ബോഡിറോൾ ഫീൽ ചെയ്തു. ബാക്ക് സീറ്റ്‌ തീരെ യാത്ര സുഖം ഇല്ല... വളരെ ഉയർന്ന സീറ്റിങ് പൊസിഷൻ ആണ് അതുകൊണ്ട് തന്നെ ഹെഡ് റൂം വളരെ കുറവാണ്. ചെറിയൊരു ഹംമ്പ് സ്പീഡിൽ ചാടിയാൽ തല റൂഫിൽ ഇടിക്കും. അതേപോലെ ഉലച്ചിലും കൂടുതൽ ആണ്. നല്ല congusted ഫീലിംഗ് ആണ് ബാക്ക് സീറ്റിൽ. പിന്നെഇവിടെ പറഞ്ഞപോലെ തന്നെ സൺറൂഫ് ന്റെ കവറിങ് വൈറ്റ് മെറ്റീരിയൽ ആയതുകൊണ്ട് നല്ല പോലെ വെയിൽ അകത്ത് വരുന്നുണ്ട്.പിന്നെ ആകെമൊത്തം വണ്ടിയുടെ പ്രൊപോഷൻ ശരിയല്ല. പുറമെ ഭയങ്കര വലുപ്പം തോന്നും ഉള്ളിൽ ഭയങ്കര ഇടുക്കവും. A piller ന്റെ വീതി ഭയങ്കര കൂടുതൽ ആണ് അതുകൊണ്ട് നല്ല വളവൊക്കെ എടുക്കുമ്പോ blind spot നല്ല പോലെ ഉണ്ട്. Hood ലെങ്ത് ഭയങ്കര കൂടുതൽ ആയതുകൊണ്ട് പൊക്കം കുറഞ്ഞ ആളുകൾക്കു ഫ്രണ്ട് വിസിബിലിറ്റി ഭയങ്കര കുറവായിരിക്കും. 6/10.

I always wonder why Nissan kicks 1.3 never comes in the grand picture of compact suv competition ( not mentioning its sibling Duster as it got extincted ). Although it lacks featues like sunroof, ventilated seats or lighting gimmiks, it got a pretty decent 1.3 turbo petrol engine and many useful bits like functioning roof rails, hill hold, 400 liter boot etc. It has also got VDC but not 4X4 and I saw youtube videos of good stunts on off road terrains. And all this come by ex showroom approx 10- 13 lakhs.
Thing is, I find most new cars very over priced. There is no significant advancement but some bits and bites especially in gimmiks. We had better cars 10 years back. I feel Electric cars only makes the difference. For hybrids, it comes mosty as big package hence no edge in cities like a alto, and on higways the fuel cost difference is marginal, ride it modest almost new petrol engine gives 18 to 22 and price difference its almost none or less when considering initial purchasing costs of hybrid. Even our new Alto is almost 2 lakhs costlier. So when an average Indian want to buy a feel good car, now need to spend like 20 lakhs ! For me its like a choice of a house or a car!.

Hey everybody .. great video as always . I always have had this question for a long time . Every reviewer explains in detail about how the car is and how the plastics are in the car etc etc . But , no one talks about how good the headlamps are . Is the throw good or very bad . Is the light ok for good driving . Not that no one recommends airplane level blinding lights and all . But yea , why headlamp light quality is not reviewed

1.U mentioned about cooling system and better cells but won't the battery be depleted fast from getting charged on a continuous basis(hundreds of cycles in a single trip).
2.Is the seat ventilation same in all marutis (sucking).

Excellent presentation. Am in confusion if to buy non bybrid, mild or strong hybrid. Strong doesn't have boot space, 3 cyl engine. Plus battery maintenance if required etc. Pls suggest which version i can buy with confidence. Is 3 cyl engine ok?? Heared that it is a bit noisy. I do not drive a lot, does it cost any issue to battery???Second row seats are good for 2 but 3 is a bit congested

Don't think it's going to come on the XL6 anytime soon. That being said the XL6 is a good VFM car for Kerala roads and conditions and it's spacious and compact enough. Fuel economy- City 12kmpl, Highway 19kmpl, mixed 15kmpl.

XL6 is superb for its price , but considering that G.vitara came out, it's the second best now.
So isn't it obvious for XL6 to get strong hybrid and a sunroof.

Everyone speaks about the city hybrid giving 26 kmpl
But the city diesel is giving 24 kmpl with a huge difference in price and Hyundai verna too.
Even though Diesel is vanishing but no one promoting it in the case of mileage as we are indians 😄
DPF issues and need for regular adblue filling might be the issue

We know how to resolve the dpf issues easily, so we have to drive like that

Is it better if we go for the Toyota counterpart when we are looking into the hybrid version as it is a Toyota package inside, hoping for better service in Toyota than in Maruti and vice versa for the non-hybrid version
Both are made in Toyotas plant and will be pretty much the same car in two skins

HONDA CITY 1.5 Petrol or GRAND VITARA 1.5 Mild hybrid
Vitara back row room is cramped. City has class leading back row comfort. In my opinion, city would fit your needs better.

Nice presentation. Clear and very natural. But, please include the idle start/stop function and how the engine starts again once it has shut down automatically, as per this function. Do take the time and effort to explain this in detail so that even a layman can understand the function. Personally, I think it's not very useful. I don't know how it will behave in a bumper-to-bumper traffic situation. I think re-starting will take more fuel than keeping it running. Also please explain how this function can be de- activated.

Pricing will be the key. Proper hybrid model will come around 22L on the road. Will be intresting to watch wheather people willing to pay 2million on Suzuki brand. Whats the USP of this comparing to creta/seltos is hybrid technology=FE. Suzuki has managed to grab 50k initial bookings. That is commendable feet! Lets wait and watch how this product performs once the euphoria dies. Best wishes Suzuki.
People are willing to pay 2 million for a Kia, then why not the same or less for a better built, reliable Suzuki?
