Really enjoyed this Adam. When I first moved to South Wales nearly 15 years ago Twmbarlwm was my second summit after Sugar Loaf. Back then I didn't know there were higher car parks so I walked up from the visitor centre. With age comes wisdom, so I'd drive up now, especially after the roads have been upgraded! Thanks for sharing.
@@timscanlanphotography Hi Tim thanks for the comment much appreciated! That’s good to hear you went up there all those years ago, it’s a decent short but steep climb from the bottom. The roads up there are fantastic now all brand new. Have subscribed to your channel think I found it? Best wishes Adam
Hello Adam mate. I love Twmbarlwm. Nice trig there too, short walk to the top with amazing views. You had beautiful weather too. I'll be back there myself for a video too by February. I have so many places and not enough time😁 You put a shift in💪👏👏 Good vid.
Hi Jamie great to hear from you, glad you like it there too, it’s a cool place and trig as you say! I completely get you, I go to bed at night with endless hills mountains and walking routes racing around my head lol 😂😂 how sad! I wonder why I can’t sleep. There’s so much on my list to do and agreed not enough time with work and normal life commitments! We are blessed each time we get to go out and experience the hills and nature for sure. Have a great week ahead
@@bearded653 Hi thanks for the comment! Yes it’s a great view from there especially for a smaller hill. Have the sea and North Somerset and Devon one side and central Brecons on the other. Thanks for watching Best wishes, Adam
Wow... you really are ticking them of at a regular pace these days Adam.. well dowen you. Many years since I have been up on Twmbarlwm and to be honest I have only done it once... must dig out my pics to find when it was. As you were walking up through Cwmcar Forest it reminded me that a lot of the series Sex Education was filmed in that area - as well as many other parts in South Wales. Great views of the Bristol Channel. Short steps.. good advice... mind stretching my legs these days I can only manage small steps..lol. Good one. atb Al ps he day after watching your Maes y Gawnen video I had to do it. I was due to go to Mid Wales but plans changed and having seen your video it was fresh in my mind... I explored over the fence and noth of the trig onto some of the immediate higher spots Carreg Lem and then wandered abt til I found the track that runs back to Sarn Helen. I was in this area Friday too when I walked from Crai to Penwyllt via Fan Gyhirych with my oldest lad.
@@thevalleywalker Hi Alan great to hear from you! Seems like you’ve been out loads too, nice getting up Fan Gyhirych with your son , that’s always a good achievement that one by any route! Ah so pleased you went up to Maes Y Gawnen, good work! Ah that’s exactly the longer walk I wanted to do, but I cut it short as I had to get back to Ystradfellte and didn’t want to bite off more than I could chew lol. The north ground Carreg Lem then over the moorland to the beacons way path exactly as you say. It’s one on my next to do. Did you park at the cavers car park? I bet the moorland was remote and wild up there? Also was it very boggy? I can imagine it was. I haven’t seen that series but must check it out! All the best mate Adam
@@davebirds5667 Hi Dave thanks for the comment , yes ancient Bronze Age fort I think. It’s a nice little local one for me if you only have a few hours spare. Definitely worth doing but if you’re travelling to the area the central Brecon Beacons or Black Mountains are much more interesting! Have a good week mate , appreciate the message! ATB Cheers , Adam
@@adamradford2285 yeah I’ve been in the black mountains years ago now & a few in the Cambrian mountains near there, which the names I have forgotten. I do remember it was terrible weather! 😂 Will be back at some point 👍 Cheers Adam Dave
@@davebirds5667 Yes definitely come and visit us again here. Hopefully you’ll get better weather next time 😂 Would love to see the drone footage if you did some filming here! Catch you soon mate Adam
