It's encouraging to see people that still appreciate these cars. It has been sad to see how many people sell theirs for B9s, RS3s, or G80s when these are seemingly such solid cars in how well they can hold power even with high mileage. Makes me want to keep mine for as long as I can
Absolutely love these cars. Every time I sell one I just end up getting another! I plan to keep this one for some time. Hard to beat what they bring to the table for the price
Man. I just picked up my B8 S4 and I love it. Just installed the CTS intake as well. but My only complaint is that the supercharger whine doesn't come through unless your 40% or more on throttle. I came from a R53 Mini cooper and that thing had supercharger whine for days. even on stock closed box intake you could hear the whine going from a stand still with little throttle. i just think the intake was designed or placed in a way to get the sound into the cabin more. Audi should have done the same.
Picked up one with 115k off the first owner. Black/black DSG 2015. No lights on the dash and only “mod” is a set of BBS wheels that came with it. Found your channel and I’m about to run through it. Any maintenance/mods are greatly suggested. I’m watching your videos in a marathon now!
@@Nando-mu2ir Runs great! Basically the best DD ever. I have a small leak out of one valve cover gasket. My Honda leaked at 95k the same way. So…can’t complain. I get the parts in the mail later this week.
@@Nando-mu2ir Yeah I will say parts were under $50. I hope you have a good exp. I hear you want the 2014-2016 years the most. If you get 10-14 get a manual due to the transmission issues in the DSG.
Clean car man! I did the upper timing chain tensioners (among pretty much every other service) on my 12 A6 3.0T at 140k due to timing chain rattle at startup but she’s running great now & starts like new. Hoping to make it another 100k at least. Still on stock tune but I’ll probably tune it in the next couple months
Watched your old videos in a binge because I semi-recent got an 2013 Audi A4! You're so wholesome and insightful :D wonder if you're going to get a honeycomb grill for this one!
Pretty set on buying a B8 or B8.5 this year. Probably from a dealer, dont want a warranty, wanna get something stock I can work on. I work at an audi dealer and have a lot of friends who are willing to teach me how to work on it and go through things with me which I think will be really beneficial to me. The issue is finding one with good miles and service history. it's hard to not let miles scare me lol.
Wife n i have a 2015 S4 IE intake and IE stage 1 tune & transmission tune. Came with AWE exhaust. I have beat a 2018 SS 1LE Camaro with Corsa exhaust & a bone stock 2012 Grand Sport Vette. Bought car with 54k miles i did have the DSG serviced and change oil every 5k miles Liquid Moly. Car currently has 60k miles runs like a top fun car probably won't mod any more other than a Merc racing heat exchanger. Car gets babied for the most part some some pulls here n there.
Looking at buying one that’s a clean title 2014. Engine went boom after oil change went bad, replaced the engine with a 2012 a6 3.0 with 90k on it. While putting it in they did pvc, water pump, thermostat. Asking 13.5k. Body and dct have 117k on them. Opinions ? I kinda like the deal, car is white and very clean, I like that the motor work was done, a 3.0t is a 3.0T engine and feel should be the same. DSG service was done on time too
Currrently driving my e36 318is aha but my buddy gave me a sick deal on his b8 s4 with 170k been in the family for about 10 years , I’m jus worried about maintence but I love how the car looks drives and feels.
Yeah all the B8.5s (A4/S4/A5/S5/RS5) are fantastic cars and highly underrated which is great for people who are "in the know" because we get to pick them for a great price. Just need one that's been maintained properly (plus NOT tuned) and if you stay on top the maintenance (5K oil changes), they are very reliable cars. All basic and advanced services are easily DIY and there's tons of YT tutorials. For oil changes, get a fluid extractor and you can do it w/o lifting the car and it'll take 15 minutes. DON'T DO THE RS grille! So overdone. I think just OEM Audi Rotor wheels, stock height, maybe a Valvetronic Exhaust, enclosed intake and that's it. It's not boring, it's CLEAN. I'd probably do a PPF color change though (sorry, the only red cars I'd consider are Ferraris, lol). I'd also consider a Stage 1 APR ECU & TCU tune if you need a little more hrsprs.
If only I could find one with somewhat low mileage and a 6 speed manual 😭 theres a reason why the market is flooded with auto trans B8s 2013 - 2016 but hardly any manual trans for sale 😢
wow nice survivor, and need keeping givin some love to keep it alive. But please , no exhaust on a automatic car, cmon, after people running serious built and ''need'' to shift by sound, get pulled over by cops because of kids annoying people with a loud automatic shift.
Why do you keep just staying with S4s? The B8.5 is such a nicer looking car... I do own one but a lot of people agree that's its far better looking cuz of 2 doors.

would love to see an update on this car & how the build is coming!! Love high mileage, well maintained projects like this.
💪🤣💪 Your honesty helped me decide to jump on a +100k mi 2013 B8.5 S4….. flying to it next weekend and driving it home… 🙏❤️
how is it?
Awesome!!
b8s and b5s arguably the best generations of Audi S4 personally own 2 b5s and a b8 too
Both are awesome in their own ways!!
400,000km. Wow that’s a beauty. I love the content man.

Get a B8.5...the newer the better. 2015-2016 is what I'd shoot for. More than mileage, get one with a good service history. It's a great platform!

Nice find! I've been window shopping these. Would be my first European car.

Did the blown up motor suffer from LSPI? Direct Inject motors need low calcium oil to prevent LSPI.
crashed my 340i mid last year and picked up a 1 owner 80k mile b8 s4 6mt

Dam 250k and it still looks good exterior wise
Thank you! It’s held up nicely!
thinking about getting one of these with about 50k miles in about 4 months!
Should look at jackal Motorsports stage 1 tune, they’re going for pretty cheap compared to other tunes like 034 and IE

Let me know when you’re ready to sell it or any parts of the car u would get rid of.
