That's the only one I've ever caught. There are a bunch of 'em around here I've just never tied onto one. I seen one in that creek about a month ago I've been after'em with a bow since.
Loved the heat being 967 and the bowfin having force fields. Too funny man! Now you got me wondering what this fish tasted like... it wasn't bad, but you wouldn't invite people over to eat it... hmmm? 🤣 At least you got a bonus bluegill to throw in with it! Great video Josh👍
@@TheWaterSwatterstrying to think of a politically correct way to elaborate on this hmmm…here in old Florida where I live a certain type of people eat Bowfin. They make patties out of them like Salmon style patties. They’re the same type of people who eat raccoons. I wouldn’t doubt that they can be doctored up to taste good because 1 of these good ole folks let my try some raccoon and it was good. Also I cleaned 10 Bowfin for an old man 1 time and the meat looked good.
So I found out you can buy the ballista bat foldable stock and it fits the mini striker. Just bout one for mine. Just thought you might be interested in that.
I am a Texican 100%. I lived in Paul's Valley for a good stretch working as a Gasplant Electrical Inspector. Ya'll Okies don't know heat. A Texican can dang near freeze to death July in Oklahoma 😂
Lol.... I spent some time up in Ada I also worked in Paul's Valley for about a year. In the distribution center Walmart has there. You'll get no argument from me it's just gets hotter south of here.
@TheWaterSwatters Yep, Paul's Valley was central to where I was working. We were doing an upgrade on a station in Ada and adding another line on a Gasplant near Lindsay. I really like the Country in Ada. It reminded me of the Texas Hill Country. My favorite thing about Oklahoma....Fried Okra was always on the menu. My joke was you can get Fried Okra at McDonald's in Oklahoma.
@@TheWaterSwatters We have state and federal land with lots of water, darn things crap everywhere and a few less wont be missed. lol Out of state liscence is a bit pricey but doable. Im not a land owner anymore but with all the land and waterways available, it shouldnt be a problem to find a spot.
You see that fish that 11 year old boy caught in his neighborhood pond in OKC? A Pacu or something, a relative of the piranha. That sucker had molars! Apparently it was a fish from South America or something and someone dumped it in the pond. The day they find those in Eufala, I ain’t ever swimming again.
Yeah I'd eat it again. My wife said it tasted about like a catfish...I didn't agree but it didn't taste bad. It was different I just couldn't put my finger on it!
That fishing bolt works like a charm!
Yes sir...it does!!!
Those fish are crazy looking. I’d almost be afraid to mess with them. Fun video.

It was different, that was strange to me because most fish taste very similar. If ya ever make it down this way we'll hunt one up and you can try it!

Those geese are $80.00 a piece in Kalifornia. Used to whack a fair amount of them in San Diego. Good eating. Really enjoy your videos.
I love eating geese. Those would be in a bad way if I was given the green light to hunt'em!!!

Come to michigan if you want geese, in season you can take 5 a day depending on location. That would be a hoot. lol
I honestly may take ya up on that if you got a place to get it done!

You can have all you want. I consider those survival fish lol
It had a strange taste I couldn't quite put my finger on, but I didn't think it tasted bad.
I like that shirt, where would one go to acquire one?
I'd say stop by the house and I'd give ya one but I don't have in your size right now.
