    Good job on the safety tip while loading the bolt. I just got done watching some videos on the raven crossbows and the representative who was handling the bow loaded it with the tip of the bolt in the center of his palm ,I cringed watching it . I don't care how great a safety mechanism it has I'm treating it like it doesn't have one .

      I'm with you. I was shown how to load a crossbow by an archery shop owner about 11 years ago when I was getting my first crossbow. It made perfect sense to me. I don't point guns at other people just because the safety is on, right?

    A few points about this crossbow, it is not made by ballista, its a rebranded crossbow from a Chinese manufacturer, you can also find it under the brand mini striker, or fma supersonic in europe.
    Build quality: from a distance it looks ok, take a closer look and it isnt great.
    String in under spec’ed and will break quickly, cams are flimsy and should be more solidly mounted on the limbs.
    Cocking mechanism has sharp edges and will wear the string prematurely. And so forth.
    Advertised speed…..
    420fps, is with a 90gr bolt that they dont even sell, because to their own admission it would be equivalent to dry firing the bow.
    Even their 150gr that come with it are too light, and will cause the string to pop out of the rollers.
    But here are the numbers:
    Factory bolts that come with it : 320 fps
    Hunting bolt that they sell (240gr) : 260fps

      It's made by a company in America owned by a Chinese company. Keep in mind, the iphone is manufactured by an OEM.

    • @7chrisma
      @7chrisma 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@sneat2028 it is not, the ballista bat is a rebranding of a Chinese product, balista is just a distributor in north america, and they slap their name on it. Same thing with a he mini striker, exact same bow. And in europe its known as the fma supersonic.

    • @sneat2028
      @sneat2028 11 месяцев назад

      @@7chrisma Its not a rebrand, these crossbows are not sold in China, because crossbows are illegal in China! They're made and manufactured for the American market. Again, the seller in America is owned by a Chinese company.

    • @KB-kp2oz
      @KB-kp2oz 10 месяцев назад

      Anyone with a brain can look up the FMA supersonic and see they are two completely different cross bows. Not a single variant of the FMA looks identical, which they would be identical if all it was is a rebrand. Does 1 not equal 1 anymore? We just say whatever we want.@@7chrisma

    That’s really a nice crossbow. I think it’s the best there is on the market right now however, it won’t be very long because I am also a bow maker I’ve created the world’s first full automatic crossbow. I’m still working on the weight and awkwardness. However, I found the right material and things that I need to make it as good as this bow, if not even better, I am working on a six shooter right now. I currently have a four shooter. It would shoot bolts as fast as you can squeeze the trigger what I do not understand is why nobody has gotten back with me. Nobody even asked of it or anything evidently I’m not making the right contacts or something, if you could help me out, I would like to try at some point to get this product on the market as well. All I need to get the right connections to the right people. Thanks again and I your videos the best of them all I appreciate the information without all the corny jokes that means a lot to me. Thank you sir. Michael R Cartwright. AKA wild man monk .😊⚔️⚔️⚔️👍

      I'd market and sell it yourself , atleast at first. Otherwise your going to give away a higher percentage when licensed. Might be wrong but look. U start a website and u get it patented. U will make money off the website traffic num 1. 2 make a youtube to markebit, yourself, and then gove to guys like this and they will fly... Trust me.
      By having it patented and aelling it yourwelf they'll sell and your so much better off.. oh and u will make money off of the RUclips u need to market it anyway.
      Just my two cent, best of luck... Truly ... And I'm just a revguy, a nobody out here with the same level contacts too... I wish u the best... Esp in this world.....def cant wait to see it, I'd buy one fs... Never let off the gas brother

    Million dollar question. Would you hunt with it in any fashion? Be is small or large game?

    • @KnettersPracticalOutdoors
      @KnettersPracticalOutdoors  Год назад +1

      For deer I need to experiment more. May have to add weight to the broadheads for more penetration. Light arrows have less kinetic energy and less penetration. Small game would be no problem. And turkeys too. But it's similar question to hunting anything with a firearm pistol. I don't hunt small game with a pistol, I use a long shotgun. I don't hunt deer with a pistol. A rifle is steady and can be shot easily with accuracy. A rifle is just a better weapon than a pistol for almost all hunting. But some hunters like the challenge of hunting deer with a pistol or hunting turkeys with a crossbow. I know I love my pass through shots that I'm getting with all the deer I have shot with a crossbow. I don't want to sacrifice that just to shot one with a crossbow pistol. So we will see. There is some vids out there showing guys getting deer and hogs with this crossbow pistol. So hunters are doing it. But like I said it is fun to shoot, easy to cock and load. But is it my new favorite crossbow for deer hunting? No probably not. I can see myself taking a walk in the fall, taking this Bat along for the possibility of a grouse standing still for me and seeing if I could shoot one though.

LOL all it takes is money, right?👍😉 thank you for your positive reply. I’m excited about myself because I know it will do especially for hunters who are losing game in the woods this will put a swift stop to all that business. Anyway thank you I look forward to hearing back from you possibly by June or July of this year it should be generation four.weighing 🏹⚔️⚔️⚔️😉 around 7 pounds or so.

    So, it’s 420fps shooting a Nerf (foam) bolt OR a 275grain bolt! Run, RUN from any bow manufacturer who fails to prominently display muzzle and/or terminal energy given common or preferably standardized bolt weights. If you can’t sort out why, don’t buy.

      Jesus celebrated Passover and also helped Peter/Simon and Andrew catch fish. Also the Old Testament covers it pretty clearly when Noah got on dry land. Ever since Adam ate the apple we live in a dirty world where we have to toil for our food and shelter. It gets dirty and bloody sometimes. We don't live in Eden anymore. It's not a Disney movie. The fish Jesus helped catch struggled for their lives to get out of the net, but Jesus had other plans.
