    I flew Delta one from SLC to Paris. This was on their new A330-900; the suites had the sliding doors which added more privacy. SLC is my home town so I only fly Delta. Feel its a great product.

    I was on a LHR to ATL Delta One flight 20 June 22 and the taxi took us to the Virgin Atlantic Upper Class private entrance. You will want to look for the VA Upper Class Wing (Uber App has it as a known location, black top taxi is a little difficult to explain it, but there are some signs on the ride in). There is a call box and they verify your reservation. Once we arrived at the entrance the staff was overly friendly and energetic! The check in was flawless and quick..... I can't say the same for the private security line, it was very slow.
    We had two hot towel services on the flight. One soon after take off and the other before landing in Atlanta.
    I had the beef tenderloin for the first meal and it was very good. The cookie was on point and warm. For the second meal, I went with the cheesburger and it did not disappoint.
    Our 767-400 jad the suites and yes, they are tighter than the A350-900 suites, but still better than the open air cabin or the LATAM A350s Delta has.

    I have yet to try it, but from what I've heard, Delta One sounds like a very good product. I> think I'd prefer the suites that have a door that you can close for privacy. You might have been more comfortable in a 787 or A330 instead of the 767. They are roomier. For the most part, it looks like you had a pretty decent flight, in spite of the jerk at the check-in counter; however, I understand that's pretty much par for the course at Heathrow!

    Honestly, it’s all about the staff that will make or break the experience in business class or even economy. Amenities are nice, but when you’re well taken care of and the staff are genuinely friendly it makes all the difference in the world. I’ve had nearly a flawless user experience with Delta domestic USA since 2020. Based on comments, that’s not always the case for some. I flew Upper Class on Virgin round trip from LAX to LHR this past NYE and the staff were top notch professional and kind. The food was fine, the seat was fine, I slept so well despite the open herringbone older configuration to London. It was the staff made the flight memorable.

      I am so glad to hear this. I just booked LAX to LHR Upper Class. I leave out on Delta One and Return on Virgin!!! I don’t go until mid December but it’s my 60th birthday gift to myself. I have never flown first class. Although I won’t have any spending money when I get to London 😂

      @@traceyrusthoven2097 for future reference, if you have credit cards that earn points, Virgin Atlantic LAX-LHR can run 59,000 points to 77,500 Flying Club points each way vs 290,000-409,000 Skymiles on Delta. Premium on Virgin can be as low as 26,000 points and if their are available seats in Upper Class at takeoff pay only $750 to upgrade.

      I use a GoPro Hero 9 Black for shots out the window and the wide shots of meal service. Walking shots are on an Insta360 camera, and everything else on an iPhone 13 Pro Max.

    Thank you for this review. We are traveling from SLC to LHR in August - would you be willing to let us know how Virgin/Delta respond to your check-in complaint? I had every intention to use the same check-in when we travel and that is what all on-line information suggests. Not a good way to start your trip.

      Thanks.
      On the day a member of Virgin management came and apologise to me in the lounge. And a Delta airport supervisor came onto the plane to apologise.
      I then had a call from Virgin’s customer service team a few days after the flight to apologise.
      So all resolved pretty quickly and professionally.

      @@DoorsToAuto Thank you for the update. The signage clearly showed DeltaOne access through the Virgin Upper Class check-in. Must have been a new person - a bit more training I imagine.

    the seats in the 767s are just too tight for most people, unless you're petite. I flew on the refurbished 764 a few times and the IFE had to be reset in three flights, don't if it's just the new system fighting the old plane.

    Great review....but you filed a complaint because one of the workers just raised their voice at you ? Really ? Please tell me she hit you or something or lost luggage ?

    Good review on the product. Everything seemed fine except for the person at the counter. I was surprized at that nice big ranch breakfast be for you left at the lounge. 👍

      The 767 always has narrow seats in business class on any carrier. Drawback of the plane.

    Thanks for the video. I would have complained too, that was a very poor response at check in. TBH unless the ticket cost was on the lower end of business class flights available I'd be a little disappointed. Other than the ploughmans the food didn't look anything special and for a US airline, that ice cream sundae looked pathetic! I also think the dirty first course dishes should have been removed before serving the main. You should not have to be stacking used dishes and putting them to one side on the tray. The bed did look awkward and narrow. I guess OK for a relatively short flight but no longer.

    Delta One looks like a good product, the meal service and offerings look like a really good offering. I'd be disappointed if offered Sparkling Wine instead of Champagne as a pre departure drink.

      The food and drink were very good. The sparkling wine was fine, but I agree ‘sparkling wine’ doesn’t have the cachet of ‘champagne’.

      That would be standard on any US carrier. I don't believe DL offers actual Champagne for the meal either.

    Heathrow's check in for terminal 3 is overall rubbish. Used Heathrow for the first time on the 27th with Virgin and nearly missed my flight because bag drop took over two hours. We had to jump the queue because the team started calling out our flight and then told to use the fast track security. the guy on the desk then had the audacity to make it seem like it was our fault it was being cut fine and told us to hurry. We couldn't get a proper breakfast so i was starving on the 8 hour flight because the option i liked ran out on the plane and to top it off i have a manageable disability but because of their stupid system we had to rush and rushing causes my knee to pop even with the precautionary brace i wear for travel so then i was hungry and in pain. Never going Heathrow again. Would rather fly from Birmingham
