Hehey, thought Martins channel couldn't fly over his head for that much longer. Considered recommending Martin to Jingles, but it seems he found his way here regardless. Bout time :/
Until this day I am still astonished by the fact that you turned plastic models into something very realistic, rusted metallic and looks so battle damaged, I like this channel a lot when I discovered it
you don't get tetanus from rust. you get it from animal shit. old farmer logic being, if something has been outside long enough to rust, it's been outside long enough to accumulate shit dust, thus tetanus

Hey Night Shift love your videos man. Been modeling since I was like 8yrs old, now 66. With all this Covid19 stuff I had a lot of time on my hands so I started modeling again after about a 30 year layoff. In the past three months I have built six models. Thanks to your videos they are probably some of the best that I have ever done. Working on an E100 right now. Thanks brother.
I'm off on Fridays and now I scheduled my lunch around Uncle NS videos . I get my notification. Lunch time!! Get lunch and watch video. Love all your work .
Turning an exhaust pipe into a masterpiece. It is interesting to see how intuitively you develop and use different painting techniques! Very nice work.
@@NightShiftScaleModels Does it count if theyre gigantic chaos robots haha. I started using some of the shell punctures and stuff on the armor. looks so good! and the pin wash technique and chipping has changed how i paint lol
Thank you for the video! I used this method on my own exhausts for my Tiger 1 project and really like the outcome! Thank you and looking forward to this build!
Couldn't agree more with the method you've used here. The lack of texture is one element that gives away points for authenticity since the appearance must be modeled using dimensional media that lends a 3-D effect rather than just a faux finish recreating only color. Thank you.
I really like that you're not using clear varnish after every step. People keep asking me when I use them or they suggest me I should use them. But I never did and don't see why I should. So with you being a far better modeller than I am it is good to see that I'm not the only one that skips the varnishing steps.
While not a Soviet tank, the Tiger as well as all German vehicles used 47: octane gasoline (petrol). The lower the octane the more oil is present, thus soot. Very nice work.
Oh yeah it's all coming together. On a similar note, I would love to see a tutorial for painting metallic surfaces. No rust, just bare metal, be it galvanised, plated, oxidised (like aluminum) and so on. Though already these videos really show how to play around with steel shades other than totally rusty
Very well done Martin. Jon Bius mentioned this video on his channel. I think the techniques is simple, but unbelievably realistic. Thank you very much for sharing.
I have an academy tiger 1,partly finished. Think I'm gonna break out the box of pigments and watch these tiger series again. Might get it finished before the lock down ends.... hopefully!. Great vid!
Man your damn good!!!!! Thanks for helping us green horns out with this vids because I be lost on trying to get these effects 👍🏻 need to change your name from night shift to teacher 😂
Steps back from painting 1/16th Tiger 1 exhausts and fitting them. Looks at them with quite a bit of satisfaction having used quite a few techniques from Mr Night Shift and others. Looks at RUclips. OK, there will be another Tiger to practice on. Really like the results you got and another technique to use. Thank you.
I even don't paint anything myself, I love your videos and their style! Please add some more high res pics at the end like from 07:23 to 07:24. Much better than the usual spinning stuff. Thanks for your weekly entertainment!

I still can't fully comprehend how you make plastic look like metal...Magical...

I'll give it a look later today!
Oh! The mighty gnome himself? I need to looks at this vid :D
It's official, old RUclips scale modelers have been replaced by the newer crowd. No one even knows who Hamilkar is...sadface.

The way it turns '3D' as you add the layers is jaw-dropping. They look fantastic.
When you mentioned sponges, you gave away one of the best kept secrets in modeling rust effects.
Even though i am not a modeler i find your content very amusing, keep it up!
Two words to describe this effect and your a Tiger overall “Simply Awesome” 👍

I think I need a tetanus shot after just watching a couple pieces of styrene being painted... This is awesome!

I haven’t build any scale models for over 40 years, but I find this channel fascinating!
Awesome! You are the Master of rust!!!!!!
This is one of the finest painting jobs have ever seen, keep coming back to this one as a reference.
Not just tips on painting but pure entertainment as well. Love watching your videos.
Nice technique. Simple, straightforward, and an excellent result.
Thank you for this focused tutorial! I have a tank on my worktable that needs some love for its exhaust.
I have to say this is the best technique for the exhaust painting I've seen so far. Loved the rutscher one.
"Finishing models every single day"??? Come on man, give me at least one year to finish a kit :D let's be reasonable!
I love seeing other modeler youtubers commenting on each others stuff!

I have been making plane models for 12 years. Lately I have started tank models and your videos help a lot. Thank you. Keep up the good work friend.
I don't mind a short video when it contains this much information, thanks so much!
I use this technique now mate, it’s brilliant thanks

Uncle Night Shift, back once again with another video on the hidious tiger 1!
I dunno, it's a little ugly, but in a cool sort of way!
Yoooo
Hello Gordon!
Even though i mostly paint wargaming stuff like 40k these tutorials have been so helpful. keep up the great work!
Tanks are still tanks, even if they're from the 40K universe, so they can be weathered in the same way, maybe even more!

No detail escape from the view of Night Shift, do you agree? 😁🤩 Splendid! 👍
Thanks for this easy and amazing way of rusting effect!
I think they look fantastic. Looks like real metal.
Great vid, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for making quarantine a little bit less dull. Cheerios my friend!
Always an outstanding video and presentation. Thank you.
A bunch of ways to add rust texture and nice to see how you do it. Great result and thanks for the video 👍
Thanks man! I'm starting painting models thanks to you... If i need to learn, let's do It from the best!
MARTIN!!! Beautiful. As always, beautiful.
The art of rust
your attention to detail is beyond what I would have imagined. Very well done. I can't believe you get any thumbs down
That seemed a really easy technique but amazing results. I'll be trying that on my next Tiger build.
Thanks Uncle Nightshift👍
I love how subtle this effect turned out. Can't wait to try it myself. Thanks for the tip!
Another excellent technique thank you sir
You're crazy man! I love you! You have definitely changed my modelling. Awesome!
